This series consisted of roughly 2111 pages, spread across 10 books for a story that could have put into 3 books.
The first 2 books were decent, the third book was aright too but then we started with the repetitiveness and the constant back and forth over THE SAME FUCKING SHIT. The amount of times this bitch would question what was happening and no one ever told her anything or vice versa was INSANE.
But one of the most annoying things would have to be all the secrets that were kept from each other. There was 10 main characters and a bunch of side characters that were dominant throughout the story and fucking hell, NO ONE COMMUNICATED ANYTHING!?? We got everything in either half truths or you had to wait 1-2 books to get to the point and yet when it all "came out" it was literally nothing?
This was the biggest waste of fucking time but I made myself finish all 10 books just so I could see how everything played out, hoping for redemption only for it to all be for nothing . Oh yeah, right at the end it mentions that there are ANOTHER 6 BOOKS IN THE POV OF THE MEN... HA I would rather spend the rest of my life picking up sand with tweezers

Not much to say, just that it's almost done!
With 10+ books in the series, there's not a lot of point writing reviews for each one. I admit I'm glad the series is nearly complete because I've been binging them. As much as I enjoy some of the characters, I'm really needing a change soon. I would read something else to split the books up, but I was worried I'd forget things. So, it's all on me!
The only thing that puzzled me about this book was Logan. Heads up, this is a minor spoiler:
At about 30% into this book, Lily reconnects with Logan. Unless I completely missed something somewhere, Logan is suddenly healed from Calamity's exposure? Did Lucifer release the effects? They were all still under it when they were fighting each other in the last book. They had only temporarily stopped when one of the muses told them to. So, how did he snap out of it?
Oh, well. On to the last book...!

Wanna give it 5 stars!!
Let me start by saying, this series has been my favorite EVER!! With that being said I didn't find it until almost all was already released, I've had to wait for the past few to be released. The reason I have to give it 3 stars though is that it took soooo long to come out I forgot what was even happening, she has sooo many mates I couldn't even remember them. After a refresher I remembered but still forgot a lot of important details until reading.
Of course I know the writing process takes a long time and the author has several projects going right now, but with the rest of the books and the amount of time it took for this to come out and the build up over the release... I have to say, I'm disappointed with what went on (or should I say what didn't go on) in the book. I feel like with that amount of time so much more could have happened. Of course there was plenty of steam which is HOT, but as far as actual substance that gives you more information on what's going on and sets up for the final book, ud didn't really. She did manage to work in another mate that we know absolutely nothing about but somehow her other mates know about him and sre accepting that quickly. Only 2 of her 8 mates she already had were actually in this book until the very last page if the chapter she finds cole. Even the cliffhanger was lackluster to this one. Even though I LOVE this series and would love if it went on forever, now it feels like its kind of being dragged out when it could have been tied together beautifully by now. Will read the last book bc I'm a hard-core fan, but I'll be the first o admit I really hope there isn't this amout of time to wait for the last one

DNF. There comes a moment when you cannot continue ignoring the plot holes, terrible writing and constant typos. I don’t know how I made it this far in this series, I should have seen how many books were in the series before continuing. Booktok failed me miserably with this one.

Fortune Academy Underworld: Book Nine (Fortune Academy Underworld Book 9) ~~ Book Nine is intense ~ emotionally, magically, and psychologically. Lily is forced to confront not just external threats, but who she’s becoming because of them. This book made me stop and think more than once, which I always appreciate in paranormal fantasy.
There are betrayals that sting, revelations that change everything, and moments where the past collides head-on with the future. I loved how the author didn’t rush these moments — they’re given the weight they deserve.
I alternated between Kindle and Audible again, and this is one of those books where listening actually enhanced the emotional scenes. You can feel the exhaustion, the determination, and the resolve in every chapter.
By the end, I knew the final stretch of the series was going to hit hard.
This series is strictly for adults 18+. It contains explicit sexual content, including multiple partners. If that’s not your thing, this book and the entire series is not for you.
I would definitely recommend this book and series and can’t wait to start on the next book. If you want to know what happens next, you’ll just have to read this series yourself ~ you won’t regret it.

Ok
So far this is the only book that seemed to have anything happen to advance the plot. While I still don't like Lily because she's a weak mess, at least there was a little progress. I still feel like the time frames in this series are sporadic so you have no idea what is going on. I also still feel like Lily seems to be the only one who does absolutely nothing to fix the situation everyone is in. Even when she's not in a coma or asleep for days, the most she's done is some workouts with Logan. Other than that she has constant pity parties for herself. For a Champion of Calamity she sure is useless.
The ending had some action that was actually interesting. What a shame that the author didn't just finish the series here. Another book means more money though, right? Sigh, I just want it to be over.

As Good as the others
I read this one so quick. I am sad that I didn't drag it out. Now, I have to wait another year. I guess that's what I get for thinking that I wouldn't be as caught up in this one as I was the others.
J.R. Thorn once again wrote an intriguing story. I only wish that it was a little longer. I can't wait to read the next one. I can't wait for all of their reunions. I also think there is more to Balthazaar than we think. If Cole trusts him then I guess we should too. His request was most likely to save her. I hope she learns to forgive her dad after what he's done for her.

DNF…At this point, I was really trying to finish this series. But honestly it is beyond confusing me. Between the plot holes, and random things being brought up as important but never really explained. I’m having to call it quits. Which is disappointing because I do like the characters. I DON’T however like how every time the men in the group start relationships within each other, they try to keep it a secret from the MFC!!! I love a great RH with MM!!! Give me all the MM!! But don’t make it feel like they are sneaking around or almost like cheating! That’s a big no for me… :(

Thorn I need more!!!Although she is determined to only write 10 books in this story I hope her muse wins and we get 11??? If not I really need a bonus scene with Kaito and Logan and Logan and Asher. And I can’t wait for Lily to finally have all her mates together book 10 needs to come quick.

Loved this series till this book
Spoilers. Why did u have to reck katos and azel characters. By all that . They hated each other in the last book. I mean I loved this series so much but u changed them all so much and not for the better . These are not the characters I fell in love with. Just why reck a good series like that.. azel adored her . Now he's boned to Kato and she doesn't care. Just not right recked 2 good characters.

A fantastic read, and every bit as good as anticipated, I just couldn't put it down. This instalment was a complete emotional rollercoaster, it made me laugh and cry and the plot were shocking, I was absolutely enthralled from start to finish, and fanning myself due to the super steamy scenes! I just can't wait for the next one!

Well wow this gets really interesting! Lilly is truly a woman after my own heart as she shows great loyalty to her men. Sadly Lucifer still has a few under his control and he won't make it easy. Does he ever? Love the spice, the steam and can't wait for more! Probably the last book but I'm honestly hoping for more even.

it’s finally making sense
I know that the champions all think calamity doing what it has done means they are failing but i think their successes go hand in hand with the failures as destined… there’s a reason it’s all happening as it is. Also I think im gonna love Balthazar he’s different than the other demons etc we have met he seems grounded

I love Lilly and her devotion to her men. Lucifer is still got some of her men under his control and she will stop at nothing to free him. With new allies and determination she will fight with everything she has. Need the next now.

I really enjoyed reading this book. But it leaves you kind of wondering; is Lily really ready to fight Lucifer and stop calamity? Will she be able to get her powers back in time to fight? I can't wait to find out these answers and more.

Just disappointed with how this series turned out. Wished the main set of characters were developed more rather than adding so many extras to the story and more layers to the plot that are so far from the first book. First three were great not sure what happened after.

Tons of steam in this book! I was hoping to have a scene with at least a couple of her guys with her... maybe in the next book? And Asher?! Definitely a page turner worth reading.
