this is an incredible book and i'm really grateful that a friend recommended it to me. it provided so much information about the united states healthcare system and the economics behind it. i learned a lot of details about the affordable care act and also about what different parts of the economic, legal and medical fields all work together in order to explain why things are the way they are. from the perspective of a pre-medicine student, i put myself in the position of both physicians and legal counsel/healthcare administrators to explore the different pros and cons of the arguments presented. the book didn't read like a textbook at all, but rather like a study guide that recapitulated so many different topics. i think i'll definitely be rereading this in the future (possibly near!!) to re-familiarize myself with certain topics and policies in greater detail.
