All the Luck You Need
She thinks her days of romance are over. The universe has other plans.
Dottie Hendrickson has always believed in signs—until pink crystal beads fall on her head, doves gather by her window, and heart shapes form in her tea leaves. They’re telltale signs she’s about to meet a man, but she’s newly divorced and over sixty, and love is something she’d prefer to find for other people. Her sweet neighbor comes to mind.

When Dottie’s niece shows up in town with River, Dottie’s budding plans, both for her neighbor and for Beau, go disastrously wrong. A lesser woman might give up, but Dottie has never met a wrong she hasn’t schemed to make right.

I think what made this one so much fun to read was that it was when Dottie met Beau (and Beau was alive). Dottie was still Dottie, a woman who marches to the beat of her very own drummer. I liked seeing Beau smitten with her from the start and how she became so integral at the Brewery. Even River as a little boy was cute and Lurch before he became Lurch. Overall, this book made me appreciate Dottie in the rest of the series, despite her weird, crazy ways.

Perfect prequel sneak peek to a wonderful series. Loved being able to meet the infamous Beau Buchanan and how he and Dottie met. We even meet a young River and get a sense of how he and Beau became so close.

Only happy people could write such a beautiful story
I had read the first book of the series, then time and other constraints of life made me unable to read the rest, despite having loved the first book so much that I made a point to pre-order and buy them all.
Then this one came out, and I don't know why, I felt compelled to read it right away.
Best decision ever, as this is the story that comes before everything, a prequel in a novella, and I smiled the whole way through the reading.
In fact, I think that only happy people would be able to write such a beautiful, happy story, one that makes me wish that all of my dreams will come true, too.
P.S.: I don't know who inspired Dottie to Angela (and Denise), but we all need a Dottie in our lives, or to become someone's Dottie.

First story by this Author and I truly enjoyed my journey.
Our heroine, Dottie, is a bit older but she is extremely colorful and full of life. She's navigating single life with a new home and new friends. Very outspoken but graceful. She dabbles in what I call reading people. She just has the sixth sense lol. While preparing for a settling in, she encounters Beau through a mutual friend. What was supposed to be a job interview turned into greater possibilities. It seems these two were destined. Their journey has its obstacles because both have some baggage but they enjoy the ride.

Funny, quirky prequel, better than the full-length books
It was short and sweet, quirky and little weird. There are character flaws like liniency to other's negative actions and such that are rejecting but other than that, it both funny and romantic. How, I DNF the first book in the series - River and George's story - as I could not stomach the characters, especially knowing they had their own books down the line. Might've been bad timing for me but nonetheless, this prequel novella is interesting enough to have tempted me to (try and) read the next book in line.

I love Asherville!
And I love Dottie, who doesn’t?
She is original and quirky, but she is also real. Her ability to read people, her theory of mind, is very endearing.
I think it was a stroke of genius to let her have her own book to give is the backstory of her and Beau.
Several of the characters we’ve met in the Asherville Brewing series make appearances in this book, and it’s not just Dottie that we get a clearer picture of.
I’ve read it chapter for chapter in the author’s newsletter and that made it a little unfocsed for me.
Next time I’ll read it right on through.

Oh, how I love Dottie! ARC and DGS released a chapter each time they did a newsletter for several weeks that told the backstory of Dottie meeting Beau (original owner of the brewery was had passed and left it to his grandchildren in the Asheville Brewing series). We also got to meet little River and get a little more insight into his relationship with his mother and Dottie. My only complaint is that I had to read it a chapter at a time!

Everyone needs a Dottie in their life!
I read this story after reading the last book in the Asheville Brewing series but wish I had read it first as it's a prequel. Dottie is a character close to my heart who reminds me of someone I knew in real life. She has a way of knowing what people need before they know themselves! Loved reading her story! Loved the whole series as well as Bad Luck Club series that followed Asheville.

A sweet prequel to the Asheville Brewing series. I read it out of order, but it didn't matter. Dottie is such a gentle soul who sees good where others are hard pressed to remain positive. She is warm and loving, and I wish she was someone in my life's circle!
Wonderful characters, positive thoughts, and happiness radiates from this book. I loved it!

My Fav Series
Really? I think this was the first of the Luck series, but I read it last. It made me smile, then laugh & made the COVID situations of withdrawal and living behind masks where no smiles are seen - or friends for that matter - just melt away. Thank you dear authors for the best escape into books since my childhood!

Wonderful novella. Love the completion.
Hearing Dottie with a young River is so great! Ah Wish there was more about him coming back and trying to fit in, growing up with Maise ... just a bit.
Great back story on Beau and Dottie,their meeting, Beau and his grandchildren, how hard he really worked to see them. How he knew what his son was and always would be.

Loved reading Dottie and Beau's story. Dottie played an intergal role throughout many of the books in these series, so it was fun to see how she started out in Asheville.
I love every book written by these amazing authors. They're laugh out loud funny with great characters and I want to move to Asheville.

This book tells the tail to the entire series and how things get laid out for the rest of the books, I actually wish this book was the first one just because it was a bit confusing in the beginning and this book helps bring everything together. Love this author and will definitely continue to follow her.

Great to see where the story started and to meet Beau. We have some sense of the relationship between Dottie and Beau as well as Beau's relationship with River and the rocky relationship with Beau's family.

Loved reading Dottie’s story
Have read all of the Asheville Brewing Series and Bad Luck Club books. Dottie is a character in all of them. It was good to read about her moving to Asheville and how she started with Beau. Their love story!

I love the Asheville Brewing series and All the Luck You Need is a prequel that isn't spoiled by having read all of the rest of the series first. Really liked reading Dottie and Beau's story.

I love Dottie and am glad to have this 0.5 of the past. Beau and Dottie are a part of the Ashville series that tie it all together. Fantastic read.
