As soon as the universe offers you something good, it really likes to throw you a curveball. You know, for balance.
Man, when were things going to calm down? Ha! Wishful thinking at its finest.
After one of our many enemies makes a life-shattering move against us, Tae and I are running for our lives again. The witches are hot on our heels, adding to our myriad of problems.
And the drama keeps on piling up.
If it wasn’t for Tae Frost, billionaire vampire and my number one obsession, I couldn’t handle any of this. I’d have fallen apart ages ago, handing myself over to the shadows. And there are so many shadows, so many players in this damn game. The lines are blurring, trust a rare commodity nowadays.
One day we’ll catch a break, get the chance to kick back and enjoy this thing blooming between us.
What did I just say about wishful thinking?
Night Tremors is the fourth and penultimate book in an Urban Fantasy Romance series packed with magic, demons, action, and steamy moments. Step into the world of a warlock who always tries to see the sunny side of life, and the sexy vampire who makes his knees go weak.
This book is not a standalone and is best enjoyed by reading the series in order.
Richard Amos is an author from England who is constantly lost in the worlds he writes about, and the ones in the queue yet to be written. He also has more books in his house than anything else, and is never without a book (and chocolate) in his hands when he's not writing. He’s a proud nerd who loves to dance. Hard.
Richard writes M/M Fantasy, Urban Fantasy, and Paranormal Romance, all with tons of kick-ass action, adventure, twisty plots, and yummy times.
Book 4 in the Midnight Magic series propels the storyline in an exciting direction. Tae and Clay endure many trials that both strengthen and strain their relationship. Fizz the cat continues to be a delightful addition. Sometimes the story became a little convoluted but always came back on track. Overall, an interesting series.
What can I say about Richard Amos’ 4th book in his Midnight Magic series? It is everything we have come to expect from this brilliant author.
Tae and Clay’s romance is anything but typical , as vampire and warlock continue to be burdened with attempting to save the world from demons, witches, river monsters, vampires, and Buttons, while trying to sneak in some steamy romantic interludes.
Night Tremors finds not only Tae and Clay struggling, but their helpful staff of supporting characters find themselves in high levels of dangerous situations, too. This magically action-packed thriller of a tale repeatedly raised this reader’s pulse!
I highly recommend this series, Night Tremors, and ALL of Richard Amos’ amazing books! I have LOVED them ALL!!!
I’ve said from the first book that this is my favorite series by the author so far, and this book has cemented that. Clay is such a kind-hearted, gentle soul, and he’s being torn in so many directions with this latest. He and Tae are almost completely a couple, but their life keeps getting in the way. This book sets up the last one, we learn some secrets, and the world is suffering for everything. This was an action-filled adventure, and I’m waiting for the next book, which is the last, so we can finally put everything to rest. Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.
Wow. I kind of feel like that’s the only word I can say about this book that isn’t going to give the whole thing away. The story is filled with magic and adventure. More secrets come to light. Clay and Tae are surrounded by treachery and double-crosses from some of the most unexpected quarters. And the ending has left me gobsmacked, and desperate to find out how this will ultimately end. I need the next book and I NEED it NOW! I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
Night Tremors is the fourth book in the Midnight Magic series. WHEN WILL CLAY AND TAE GET THEIR HEA?!?!?!? We continue where the last one left off. Their relationship is strained even more, as they are faced with more trials between saving the world and getting themselves out dangerous situations. There's high tensions, magic, and completely an action packed adventure. Richard Amos seriously has a gift when it comes to the world building. Every book gets better and better. It's like I'm there with every page. So excited and a bit sad that we are nearing the end.
I’m enjoying this series. The characters are likeable and realistically flawed, and the worldbuilding is detailed and different. I like the strong theme of family and found family. And there’s a cute cat called Fizz.
Clay and Tae don’t catch much of a break in this story, but that’s on par for this author. They get a couple of sweet moments together before they’re dealing with bad guys and on the run again. I like how misplaced trust factors in. Tae thinks he’s selfish wanting Clay to use his power for revenge, but the actions of another character puts all of that in perspective. I like how their relationship grows, and Tae realises how much Clay means to him. I like how Tae’s demeanour is slowly thawing the longer he's with Clay. They fit well together. Tae’s affection for Fizz is sweet. I also like that although he's fallen for Clay, he doesn’t forget the good times he had with his wife and son either.
I love Archie and Victoria. They both totally rock, and do their part in the fight against the demons and witches. James is an interesting character. I like his journey although his motivations and loyalty are still very misplaced. I’m interested to see how that plays out in the final book. Fizz steals every scene she’s in.
I like that Arcana feels like an entity with its own agenda, and the consequences that come with using it, or giving into its darkness.
The action scenes are full on and tense. I like how Clay and Tae finally seem to get ahead, then something knocks them back again. That there are moments where Clay is struggling to stay positive says a lot for what he goes through.
All the pieces are coming together for the final book, with a few others I didn’t see coming. That cliffhanger is evil.
This is book 4 of the Midnight Magic series, which'd captured me right from the 1st installment and hasn't released yet (I guess we'll have to wait until book 5 for that). First of all, it's the MCs. Clay and Tae are just so wonderful, you can't help but fall in love...Clay is just delightful: so kind, caring, and loving. He is trying so hard to see the good in the world and in people. His love and loyalty to Tae, to his new friends, and, of course, his lovely Fizz is absolutely adorable. As for Tae, I feel for the guy: life hadn't treated him kindly. After he lost so much it's not easy for him to open his heart, but he is getting there. He is determined to protect Clay no matter what even when Clay becomes much stronger than him. He is still feeling responsible, feeling the need to keep Clay safe no matter what. In this book, the pace will be as fast as in the previous ones: magic, demons, witches, and in the middle of that - Clay and his power. I think this storyline is also important. Power is a dangerous thing, not only for the others, but for the one possessing it. Maybe it's the most dangerous for Clay. It's addictive, it devoures you, how do you remain yourself and don't get lost in its flames...Did Clay need any more challenges? I don't think so, but nobody asked him...So, beside the chases, fights and flights, and yes, some steamy sexy times (can you imagine anyone sexier than Tae? Duh...) you'll find some soul-searching, some slow post traumatic recovery, and some love growing as well. I'm thrilled to find out how it will all come together because the grand finale is close...so, of course, I highly recommend this amazing read.
The drama continues in Night Tremors for Clay and Tae. Will they ever catch a break? Well, not today I can tell you that much! LOL! The drama continues to unfold for these two characters as they race around trying to save not just themselves but the world. Such a tall order, right? The author insists that the characters continue to grow and develop in this series and that we readers continue to learn more about them. Now, they have more than just the demons after them, they have the witches joining in the fray. Such fun times ahead, right? You just want to yell at everything and everyone...back off!!! Let them have a minute to just breathe and enjoy themselves. Don't bother, it won't matter. LOL! Ready for another cliffhanger? No?! Tough! Because it's coming. I don't know whether I should be resigned or frustrated at this point. LOL! I'll just keep hanging in there. Remember, if you're just popping in...start from the beginning! You have to read this series from the beginning or it won't make sense. This book: 5 out of 5 stars
Warlock Clay Christmas and billionaire vampire Tae Frost are on the run as an enemy has made an earth-shattering move against them and so demons and the witches are after them. Trust is a rare commodity and they just need to catch a break, but that seems impossible. Can they escape it all and stay together?
OMG. Lots of enemies and lots of betrayals in this penultimate book in the series. It was action on top of the action and poor Tae and Clay just wanted time to concentrate on themselves and their relationship. They say that you can choose your friends but not your family and that was certainly true for the guys. This was easy to read, feel and understand as I was swept away with the story. There is something about the author's writing style that draws you in, invades your entire mind and then spits you out at the end. I'm now dying to find out how everything concludes. Contains mature content and an MM relationship.
Amos's 'Night Tremors' is truly a series penultimate book, in every sense. The author continues to teach those who have followed this series from the beginning something new about all the characters. Their relationships are further defined - across protagonists and antogonists.....and those we still aren't quite sure about. And Richard accomplishes all of these things during what can only be described as a true non-stop thriller. Truly - even I had to stop to take a breath once in a while. I couldn't put this book down. Read it. Put it on pre-order if you are seeing this before the release date. That will ensure you can read it as soon as possible. OR, give you enough time to read books 1-3 in the series, which is almost a requirement to wring every jewel possible out of this tremendous series!
This fourth installment of the Midnight Magic series is the perfect continuation of the story of Clay and Tae as they work together to get the answers they’re seeking all while running for their lives and trying to save the world from the demons, witches and other supernatural beings that seem to be haunting them nonstop. Will Clay and Tae ever find their happily ever after or will fate keep butting in and causing mischief and mayhem?
I love their unique relationship and how it’s grown throughout this series as well as the depth and attention that Amos puts in his side characters as well.
Overall if you’re a fan of urban fantasy MM romances featuring a lovable optimistic warlock, a sexy broody vampire that caught his attention and pushes all his buttons with tons of spicy heat and magical going ons then this is the one for you!!!
Tae and Clay continue their perilous journey. A reader can't come into this series w/o reading the first two books. It would be a great disservice to any reader. Mr. Amos has crafted a great theme of pathos that needs to be read from the very beginning to comprehend the emotional twists and turns that both Tae and Clay's hearts face in relation to each other's family relationships and past heartache. Tae still seeks his revenge against demon Isaiah for the deaths of his wife and young child while Clay anguishes against the demon side he shares with Buttons. This is a riveting book #3 and I look forward to book #4. This is my voluntary review for the compilatory book I received.
Gosh! I absolutely love this series! It’s got so much going for it. Great characters, amazing world building, drama and so much more.
Book four sees Clay and Tae running for their lives again (seriously, can’t these guys catch a break?!) and we learn some answers and more secrets are revealed! It’s definitely setting up for the finale which I know is just going to be epic!! I cannot wait to find out what happens. I’ve been so invested in Clay as a character and watching him grow from the timid guy he was at the start. He’s still the same sweet, kind person but I love how Richard has made him grow over the pages.
Clay, a warlock with secrets, and Tae, a vampire, are running from the Anti-Demon Unit on Christmas trying to live their lives on their own terms. As the story progresses help fails when needed, the bumps along the way could leave the unseated, and their enemies may find the challenge has succeeded. Night Tremors brings the reader closer to the chaos of the destruction of the world of magic they have gotten used to in this series. The losses are definitely few and far between, hopefully the grand finale rights the wrongs.
I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
Clay and Tae are still at it saving the world from all sorts of supernatural creatures. I keep hoping they’ll catch a break but not yet. They are being pulled in many different directions and yet they still find time for a bit of couple time. And I love how their relationship is still getting stronger even if it gets tested at times. I adore Clay and Tae together and I want them to get their HEA. Of course they can’t have a simple Christmas or New Years. I can’t wait to find out even more about these characters in the next book. This is a must read series and the action kept me on my toes for pretty much the entire ride. I can’t wait for the next one!!
Clay and Tae don't seem to get any chance to catch a break. Life keeps throwing curveballs at them, getting in their way and building a path full of obstacles. The chemistry and attraction is undeniable, and their relationship basically cemented, but there are so many challenges popping up that their happily ever after seems miles away. Adventurous and full of awesome magic, the story is packed with dangerous situations, battles to save the world, and interwoven with relationship drama. The more we learn about this world, with every detail I get more intrigued and sucked deeper into the story. I am definitely left restless waiting for the next piece in this series.
While book 3 has a slower pace, this instalment jumps straight into the action as soon as you open it which is great! There’s so many twists and turns to the story in this book and I really don’t want to spoil it for anyone, but there’s a bigger focus on Buttons in this one; if you’re like me, you’ll end up in that space where you know you shouldn’t like him but there’s something about him that draws you in!
All in all, a great story - Amos always writes very entertaining and easy to read characters and stories. Can’t believe how long I counted down for this one and yet I still raced through; now I’ll have to do the same for the finale!
Wow. Just wow. This is book 4 in the series and the books must be read in order. Book 4 continues from the end of book 3. Tae and Clay are on the run from witches who are after them. Clay is a warlock who always tries to see the best in things. Tae is a vampire who is trying to get revenge for his wife and son. This book is fast paced, has non stop action, great world building and love the chemistry between them. Loved loved loved it and cannot wait for the fifth and final book.
This was an action-packed, drama-filled read! Clay and Tae just couldn't catch a break. It seemed like every time they got a little quiet time and could try to figure out their relationship, they were pulled into yet another battle. I flew through this story. It is so easy to be drawn into this world, with interesting characters and the magic system, but I really want Clay and Tae to get their HEA. There's just so much to be resolved first. I feel the next book will be an even crazier one, after that ending. I can't wait to read it!
Night Tremors was a truly fantastic read!! Night Tremors is the fourth book in the Midnight Magic book series. The characters are flawed and world building is realistic. I felt bad for Clay, he’s being torn in so many directions. Clay and Tae never seem to get a break. The ongoing story line will have you hanging on the edge of your seat as the story unfold along with all the twists and turns. Overall, a fantastic read!! Well written, fantastic pacing that kept me hooked and engaged. Highly recommend.
Books started AMAZING and made me so much happy. I'm sad to give it only 1 star but I just can't. What happened to Clay's character? He's completely different person, and I seriously annoyed by the new version of him. I am annoyed by James. And I hated what Aracna did to Clay. I don't understand how would Clay even share one conversation of cooperation with James knowing he still adores their cruel mother. It doesn't make sense to me. Clay changed so much, from a sweet guy I adored, to someone I can't stand.
Clay and Tae are on the run trying to escape to hide out after Quentin exposed Clay using Arcana. While their relationship starts to progress, they each are forced to evaluate themselves against their own impossibly set ideal/goals. What are they trying to accomplish and what sacrifices do they need to make to get there. Clay is having some side effects and withdrawal from the changed Arcana while some history is exposed that would explain everything. I winder how its all going to end.
Richard gives us another wonderful book in the Midnight Magic series! Once again Clay and Tae are fighting witches, demons, magic and mayhem as they try to protect each other and their friends. Well written with complex characters and plot twists, this book continues to deliver high octane thrills and and love. I loved reading this book and highly recommend the series. Don't miss out!!
Night Tremors (Midnight Magic Book 4) is a nice addition to the series! This book moves the plot in a fun direction. Tae and Clay endure trials that strengthen and put a strain on their relationship. I continue to love the cat Fizz. At times the story was a bit complex, yet it always refocused on the plot. Midnight Magic is an engaging book series I will continue to read. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book from the author.
Better than book 3. Less grammatical errors than the last also.
Tae and Clay can't catch a break. There's betrayal. Capture. And an unlikely hero coming to Clay's rescue...sorta of. Well yes, there is an actual rescue so I guess if the shoe fits and all...
And of course I love Fizz, Archie, Victoria.
And I'm just now getting used to all of Clay's "Gosh", "Erm" stuff. On to the next and final book.
Damn I love this series, book 4 did not disappoint at all. Richard knows how to write a banging book. This guy has you holding your breath with his twist and turns. Clay and Tae are still trying to save the world from all the bad and are not catching the break I want them to have. 😔 I love the banter between Victoria and Achie maybe we might see a spin of with them 🤔😉
Clay and Tae continue to be wonderfully engaging characters and I really enjoyed seeing them navigate the stumbling blocks the universe kept throwing in their way. They just kept pressing forward, I can't wait to see how it all ends. The final book can't come soon enough.
