“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above” (James 1:17).
The Bible paints God as good—kind, giving, and forgiving—yet that raises questions for us. How is God good to me? Do God’s gifts mean that he doesn’t care how I live? If God is good, why do I sometimes suffer hardship?
Exploring God’s Grace is a journey through the Bible focused on how God expresses his goodness throughout history down to today. The devotional guide will walk you through the challenges of understanding grace, providing thoughts for deeper reflection and prayer. Exploring God’s Grace promises to enrich your spiritual walk by enabling you see God as the giver he is.
Like with all of his books, I cannot recommend Jacob Hudgins' "Exploring God's Grace" enough. This is the third year long devotional of his I've done and is, in my opinion, the best.
Beginning at the beginning, Hudgins takes the reader through moving examples of God's grace, showcasing that grace is not simply a New Testament concept. This devotional offers fresh, bite-sized takes on familiar passages, and its five day a week format makes it easy to stay on schedule or catch up if you get behind.
I've now read and enjoyed several of Hudgins' books and this may be my favorite, yet. This is a daily devotional book, with short readings and notes that take you through the scriptures looking at ways God showed grace to His people throughout.
I really loved this and highly recommend it to anyone interested in a daily devotional book.
