Bear has lived more than half his life for his club. He’ll gladly do it again. He has never regretted starting this club with Bull and a few others years ago. However, seeing his brothers finding love and settling down to have families when he knows he’ll never have that is taking its toll on him. He takes off to get his head straight.
When he returns, a chance meeting on a sidewalk in town brings a beautiful woman and her little girl into his life. He’s instantly struck and wants to find out more about her. However, if she doesn’t find a job soon, she’ll be leaving. As he tries to help with that, he’s called to town one night and makes a disturbing discovery about Ilara and her daughter, Hope.
He thinks when he gets them in his home, he’s home free. That is only the beginning. He finds horrors in her past, and danger in the present and he’ll have to fight to keep his new family intact.
Ilara is desperate to find a place she and her daughter can settle down and be safe. She hopes Hunters Creek was the place, but things aren’t looking too good. Then she literally runs into a bear of a man, who of all things is called Bear. He should terrify her, but he doesn’t. It’s her past that does that.
When Bear takes her into his home and explains he wants a family and what that will entail, she’s left deciding if she can fulfill that dream. She thinks she might. Then things are blown apart by more than one revelation. One of the worst being, she could lose her daughter.
Bear and Ilara have to fight not only for each other but for their happily ever after. Bear gains more than he ever imagined when he found Bear’s Beloved. He’ll show the enemy why he’s called bear to protect his family.
An avid reader with a passion for romances that finally got the chance to write one of her own. The rest is history. Not what anyone thought for someone who has been a nurse and in healthcare management for years.
I sit writing as my two fur babies, my pugs Kujo and Khaos, impatiently wait for me to get done so they can lay on me as their human sofa!
My children are finally considered to be adults, so it's me, the hubby and the dogs.
I'm a iced tea drinking fiend who has insomnia, more ideas than I know what to do with, and a need to write them down.
Not too bad for a girl from rural Ohio in the foothills of Appalachia that grew up in a town of about 4000 people.
I really liked Bear and Ilara, but there were the same old mistakes made. The guy being all this is club business, that is all you need to know and there would be a fight, the woman wanting to leave, then things are good. Some form of that happened so much in this one, I was over it. I did like how at one point Ilara told Bear that something he wanted to know so badly was woman's business and he'd get to know the high points only when she wanted him to. He was stunned stupid for a few moments, then got it, something he deserved.
I do like how this one worked out, glad to see that Ilara and Bear were happy and that Hope was ok too.
Bear was lost. All his brothers were getting married have children and he was lonely. He wanted the same. Bear was told he could never have children.
Ilara was on the run with her small daughter Hope. Homeless living out of her car. A chance meeting with some of the old ladies, and literally bumping into Bear changed her life. Ilara story was one if rape and a mad nan still chancing her. Not every love story starts out on the right foot. Ilara with so many insecurities finds it hard that someone like Bear could love her and Hope.
Bear is now faced with maybe losing Hope to illness. A 25 year old lie comes to light, another daughter, tracking a mad man and forgiveness comes to an unsuspecting person.
This series is one of my tip ten. Can't wait for the next brother to fall. Must be something in the water.
Bear has watched his best friend find his true love and can't help but want that for himself. When he meets Ilara and her little girl he knows he has found the one, but Ilara is in trouble. He vows to protect her but Ilara is weary of trusting. Can Bear prove he is worth every ounce of her trust?
There is a lot more to the story, particularly Bear's back story. I was definitely pulled into the story and couldn't put it down. Another great addition to this series.
This book had its ups and downs. I think when everything is all sorted out, it's mostly ups. These Archangel's Warriors are a bit intense. Like, they see a woman they want and Tarzan their way to get her, and she just has to go along with it because...reasons. Heh heh. So, the whole romance thing can be iffy. The overall plot for the MC? It was good. The problems Ilara created by showing up ended up making for a really exciting book, and I'm sorry, I know Bear was all sulking, but that ending was flipping fantastic. That's some Indiana Jones s#!t right there.
Bear (not an actual bear, unfortunately) is SO OLD. Just get in the coffin, Bear. You're forty-eight. Life is over, bud. *eyeroll* Anyhow, he's pretty depressed that he's single with no kids. He's unable to have any for medical reasons, so unless he adopts or marries a woman with a pre-made family, he's screwed. Then, he meets Ilara, and there's an instant connection--not only to her but to her beautiful little daughter. Except there's something going on with Ilara, and if she doesn't find work soon, she's going to leave Hunters Creek. Getting her to stay might be hard, but learning her secrets puts everyone in danger--one that Bear's willing to risk.
Ilara desperately needs a real place to settle down. She's been bouncing from town to town since her daughter was born. Homeless, she left a terrible situation behind and is running from her past. While in town, she meets Bear, a sweet biker, who makes her feel things she never thought she'd feel again. But it was never meant to be. Even though his friends are amazing and are trying to find her a job, she knows she'll have to move on. That is, until something happens that forces her into Bear's arms and her and her daughter into his house. Now, she has to figure out whether she wants to stay as his woman or not.
Ilara was sweet, and I loved the bond she had with her daughter. For the very first part of the story, I thought this story was going to hit it out of the park. And then her and Bear started the back and forth. "You don't love me. You'll get bored." "No, I won't." "Look, club bunnies, I'm leaving." "No, don't." "(Excuse), I'm leaving." *Man roar* *Comes after her.* This was almost the entire book. The relationship was rocky. Completely rocky. And I'm still not getting the age gap thing where people were giving them a hard time. He's not even a silvah fox yet? At least from what I understood? I don't get it. Get in the coffin, Bear. Forty-eight in romance book years is nursing home time, buddy.
I definitely liked this one more than Demon's book which is the other one in this series that I've read. The poor h has been through some horrible things and the H is perfect for her. The H is definitely not a doormat but she is ready to run out the door at the drop of a hat. That got old really fast.
Archangel's Warrior Mc gets better and better. Bear is tired of been alone, seeing his brother falling in love and making a family. He wants that too . He asks his president time of to clear his head. When he crashes with a lady by the bakery he fall hard. Age is but a number. The only problem is llara is not getting the memo. So when llara past comes crashing it’s up to bear and his brothers to keep her safe .
I can never just pick one biker as my favorite by this author. I fall in love with each guy and their old lady when their book arrives. That said, Bear will be taking the top spot and it will be almost impossible to knock him out of that position anytime soon. Bear has given up on finding someone. He thinks that he missed his chance at a happily ever after and a family of his own. Sure he has the guys and their wives and families, he should count his blessings. The pain of his loneliness is something he is just going to have to live with. Then he runs into Ilara and her baby girl Hope and its like a gift from Heaven above. She is scared, skittish and looking for work. He tries to get to know her, to gain her trust and attention. When she gets attacked one night he offers her his heart and a future filled with love. Can she trust him with her child and her heart? I got all the butterflies, all the stars in my eyes over this sweet couple. They are so wonderful, they deserve the world. All the stars for Ilara and Bear!
Bear’s Beloved is another age-gap biker romance in Ciara St. James’ Hunter Creek Archangel’s Warriors MC series. In this one, readers witness the romantic journey of Ilara and Bear. Both are emotionally wounded. Ilara, a single and homeless mother, is on the run with her two-year-old daughter, Hope. She was kidnapped, drugged, and raped by her influential boss, Todd Hamilton. Bear was deceived and lied to by a former girlfriend, Carol, and hid the fact that he fathered a daughter, Tarin. After Carol’s death, Tarin finds out the truth and goes in search of Bear. Meanwhile, Bear and Ilya grow closer together. He wants to be a father to Hope. Then Hope is diagnosed with leukemia. Bear learns about Tarin. This discovery causes tension between Ilara and him. Todd Hamilton pursues Ilara. Can Bear keep Ilara and Hope safe? Will Hope regain her health? Can Ilara and Bear mend the strain in their relationship? You must read this book to find out. Ms. St. James pens another entertain biker romance. Like the other lead characters in this series, Ilara and Bear are multi-dimensional. Ms. St. James captures their strengths and vulnerabilities. In doing so, she captures her readers attention. Her dialog is outstanding. Through the conversational dialog and internal monologues, readers witness their strengths and vulnerabilities. Ms. St. James masterfully paints vivid scenes with her use of descriptive language. I appreciate how she taps into previous lead characters and uses them as secondary characters in each new book. I also enjoy how she dispels the stereotype of MC. She does this by illustrating the positive side of her lead male biker characters. Nicely done, Ms. St. James.
Bear's Story was not what I expected & Ciara sure did have a few twists & turns & tear jerking moments that you will need some tissue handy for! Since meeting bear from the very beginning of previously written books in this whole overall series & was mostly known as the one who married most of the warrior couples, I was curious to find out what made him want to marry people & if he was a hopeless romantic like me lol. After the revelation into Bear's past was revealed boy did I want to reach thru my kindle & go into this imaginary world to find that evil heartless person to punch her in the face for giving women a bad rep lol. And I just wanted to give that big bear with such a big heart a huge hug too lol. To read about a big alpha male & his opinion on being too old in his eyes to find that HEA & giving up on it definitely was a tear jerker because dang it everyone deserves to find their person & have their HEA!
As for Bear's HEA he found her & her past & present revelation in this story was so overwhelming at some parts to read that I did take a break in reading it or I would of thrown my cell into a wall & broke it. I did scream on the inside and shed a few tears too not going to lie lol because this happens in real life too dang often, not just in imaginary worlds when getting lost in many books.
I hope you enjoy reading this book as I did like all the rest I've read previously. Kudos to Ciara St. James for your brilliant writing & thanks for keeping this series going.
Over the years, Bear has seen many of his friends and MC members find their true love, then start their own families. Bear knew that this wasn't in the plan for him, so he decided that he would take some time away. Before he left, he was slammed into by fate.
Beloved (don't like her, so in the review I will use her club name), really needed to stop with the treats of leaving when something didn't go the way she thought it should have. With knowing that her rapist was loose and looking for her, she felted that she knew better and was in the right to try to leave. When a twisted part of Bear's past shows up, she thinks that their relationship all was a lie and uses what she thought she saw as an excuse to leave.
Look, I get it. It's hella hard to trust someone after something like what happened to Beloved, happens. But, to not even be willing to open your ears and listen, that is very childish. To continuously look for a reason to use as an excuse to leave, makes it hard to even remotely like the character. Which is why I gave the story three stars instead of four. I do not like the character of Beloved.
DNF. Seems like I’m in a minority, but I hated this book.
So after finally reading Bull’s book, and I loved it, I thought I would try this again. Nope, still hated it. Plot was crazy, and not in a good way, and I really didn’t like Illara. Sorry but way too much drama over everything, and the plot didn’t make sense. Illara wasn’t believable as a character, and their ‘relationship’ is WAY WAY TOO FAST! Yes I know she has had a terrible time in her life, but she flared up at everything, and I mean EVERYTHING. She must have packed her bags and unpacked them, five times! Poor Bear can’t say anything without her going off on one.
Illara is a single mother of Hope, who is two. For some bizarre reason, she moves from town to town as she can’t find work. When she ends up in Hunters Creek, the ladies of the Mc befriend her. As soon as Bear sees her, he knows she’s the one. So he moves her into his house and into HIS BED, even though she’s been through something awful, she’s perfectly fine. Within days they’re having sex, and again she’s perfectly fine. Of course she doesn’t need counselling.
Silly me for thinking she would need a lot of time and help before having a relationship. I couldn’t get past it as it was so badly written that it ruined it.
Just when he thought it was too late for love Bear's Beloved (Hunter's Creek Archangel Warriors MC Book 5) by Ciara St. James takes reader fans back to Hunter's Creek for Bear's arduous journey to fulfilling his heart's greatest wish, a family to call his own. Ilara and Bear's meeting is serendipitous. She comes to Hunter's Creek because it has the small town feel she is looking for to raise her daughter. Bear had just let the idea of having his own family go when he literally runs into Ilara and her adorable toddler, Hope. The plot has Bear working hard to earn Ilara's trust. And once he has it, there's plenty of angst that keeps Bear (and the reader!) on his toes. Bear makes mistakes and Ilara is guilty of that a time or two as well, but these two are perfect together. And Hope just lights Bear up. Overall, despite the angst and trouble coming at this couple from two directions, Bear handles the threat and metes out MC justice, living up to his road name. Best of all, Bear, Ilara and Hope have an extra special HEA. I read an ARC of this book and voluntarily share my review.
Bear’s Beloved is book 5 in the Hunters Creek Archangel’s Warriors MC series and follows Bear as he meets Ilara and her daughter Hope who change his life after him admitting to himself that maybe he just isnt meant to find the same love as some of his brothers.
I really liked the characters in this book, Ilara was a wonderfully strong FMC who really grew over the book and Bear was the perfect guy for her to fall for. I liked the twists and turns in this book and there were some surprises along the way. The story was good and kept me intrigued all the way through.
Overall, this was another good book set in the universe Ciara St James has created and it is a book I’d recommend.
I think so far this is my favorite book of Ciara's and that Bear is my latest book boyfriend! Bear and Ilara are the couple this book is about. Be ready to feel all the feels. I got emotionally drawn into the angst, heart breaks, heart triumphs and the happily ever after. There are some very spicy hot scenes of intimacy. Dangerous threats against Ilara also take place and the club as always, has her back. Once again I found that I couldn't put this book down until I read the last page. Ciara always hooks me into the story like that. I am now going to read the next recommended book in the multiverse of her series'. Read this book, you will fall in love with it like I did.
I chose this rating because this is actually a pretty good book. I enjoyed pretty much all of the characters Well there was a few that I did not care for. This was a book of protection, kindness, compassion, devotion understanding, putting others before yourself, and also falling in love. I enjoyed Donovan (Bear) and Iiara story. The author did an amazing job with putting these characters together. I think Iiara needed Bear in her life and he needed her in his life as well. I think they made a great couple. Everything turned out as it should. Great read! I recommend this book to all romance readers and MC lovers.
Ilira was such a great character. Having lived through Hell, and came out stronger. Bear was such a well loved Brother, and co-founder of the Archangel Warriors, but it was wearing on him to see so many of his fellow brothers married happily and raising children. His past was hard and heartbreaking. He didn't begrudge his brothers, but he was lonely, for a woman of his own. Meeting Ilira abruptly, as she runs right into him. Carrying her toddler, Hope. She takes his breath away, and this starts a long complicated courtship, and confronting a danger from her past. It's hard won, but they get their HEA ending. Trish. A.
So I knew Bear's book would be epic, and it was! I love that Bear is older than Ilara, he is just so protective and loving now that he has found his forever. She's a woman who known danger, who has a small child and who is on the run from a terrible past. But you know Bear will be right there to get her through it all. Ladies we have another over the top alpha male to swoon over, and he is perfect! This is another fantastic read in Ciara St James' world!
Another Great read ! This is one of my favorite series from one of my top re read authors! Bear is one of the older members who finally finds his Beloved. From start to finish it will keep you on your toes and you will not put it down until you finish. Well done Ciara St James!!!
Yay Bear finally got the family that he's longed for, for so long. He was besotted from the beginning with Ilara and also her precious daughter, Hope. I hate what Ilara went through but she truly is a very strong young lady. Wow on the other awesome news that was discovered about Bear. Happy reading.
I love this series! Bear's story is so good! He had ups and downs and a couple of wonderful surprises! It was a hard road for Ilara but so worth it! This Warrior family always has each others back but don't mess with them! Look forward to more books within the Warrior families!!!
Bear and Ilara are such a good couple. Bear definitely deserves his HEA he has ao much love to give. I wanted to wring is ex girlfriends neck she was a pos. He suffered for so many years because of her lies. Ilara definitely is Bears perfect match. If you haven't read this series you are missing out Ciara is an amazing author 😍
Bear and Ilara are so complex but so amazing and hot. I love how strong Ilara is despite thinking she’s not. Bear is another HCAW alpha for sure and in true AW fashion knows she’s his from the start. Can’t wait for more.
Bear’s Beloved is the story of true love that can transition across age difference. It showed that anyone can get past any obstacle with support of loved ones and family. I enjoy reading about the Archangels and can’t wait for the next one to be published.
Wow, just wow! Completely blown away. I knew I was going to like Bears book. I just had this feeling. But boy it surpassed my expectations.
I instantly knew what the ex gf did to Bear but I wasn’t expecting the other surprise. Not to give anything away but that scene was so good!!! Let’s just say justice was served.
Bear's Story was an emotional whirlwind with twists and turns that left me breathless. I was curious about Bear's past from previous books. His story had me rooting for him, and I shed a few tears along the way. The revelation about his past had me fuming, but ultimately, I was thrilled to see him find his happily ever after.
All I want to know is why couldn’t someone love me that way? Insta love and drama and a loony toon in the story, but a man that just want love and give it back. So many twists. Can’t wait for the next one.
Bear thinks he wi) never meet his one and have a family. When he meets a single mom and her daughter Hope. And life changes for the best. But shr has a past coming after her. Another enjoyable book.
