Deceit

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “An intriguing set of characters push and pull themselves (and others) across a strange world of serial killers, victims, and bizarre experiments. Hints of the matter of fact killings in Hannibal, a little of the oddness underpinning the world of True Detective and the dirty grit of a 70s murder confessional. Not for the squeamish, but a rewarding read.”

Delve into a dark, edgy and exciting psychological thriller that spirals into sheer chaos. An interactive read that’ll be sure to keep you on the edge of your seat.

However, this book is not for the faint of heart, as it contains scenes of violence, vulgarity, mature sexual content, and strong language throughout. Reader’s discretion is advised.

Is it a horror, is it a crime novel, is it a psychological drama, is it nuts? Yes, to all of these questions, but its also hugely entertaining. It may be hard to follow in the early stages, but all the threads are expertly pulled together in the latter half. The storyline is twisted, of which I fully approve, and some of the language and action is not for the faint of heart, but its just the kind of innovative story which should be optioned for a Netflix series (for adults), as its hugely visual, despite the internalised and psychological torment. If you like your reads to be ‘a bit different’, then I’d highly recommend giving Deceit a try.

The storyline is very well developed and keeps the reader guessing as to what the heck is going on. This book is very violent in places, so be prepared and it certainly doesn't shy away from hard hitting themes. The descriptive writing had me gripped. For a debut novel I think the author has done and excellent job in bringing the characters to life. Would be interested to read further work by this author.

Brilliant. Dark. Disturbing.
This book kept me on the edge of my seat as I had no idea what would happen next. I was totally engrossed in the lives of the characters. At times it was hard to figure out what was real and what wasn't but that only added to the mystery of it. I thoroughly enjoyed it. If you like something a bit dark with some gore you'll love this.

A psychological thriller with a very unique storline. Will keep you guessing and on the edge of your seat! What next?😱 The world is not what it seems, but what is it? There is something out there that is “unbounded evil deceit”!

I honestly did not know what I was in for when I started reading this book. I like a good thriller, and I’m always willing to show support to a fellow independent author, especially a fellow Hoosier. I was only a few pages into Deceit when I realized I would be spending the rest of this reading experience living inside the mind of a serial killer. The thoughts of the characters are very deep and very raw which really amplified their individual nature. The author did an amazing job of bringing the characters to life in such a far-out story as well as setting a tone for each scene.

Deceit surely is not an easy read! It’s a dark-themed psychological thriller with a highly descriptive sex and violence scenes (often at the same time or one resulting from another). The plot is developed well with the story really flowing, though the timeline can be complexed at times, leaving you to guess if what you are reading is happening ‘for real’. I would definitely recommend this book for 18+ readers looking for an adult thriller that will keep you on the edge.
