Lexi

My world didn't just come crashing down--it crushed me.

Secrets and lies hurt.

And they weigh a ton.

Now, I'm left to pick up the scattered pieces and go on.

Then, when I think there might be a light at the end of the tunnel--that too, burns out.

And I'm left with only myself to rely on, in a sea of disappointment.

Learning how to straighten your spine and hold your head up high--when it feels impossible--are tough lessons to learn.

But I do it.

Because I've been working too hard to give up on my dreams now.

What's that saying... sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll? Well, this one has love, drugs, and hockey instead, and it delivers on all three. The chemistry between the main characters radiates from every page, making this impossible to put down. The constant twists and turns kept me completely hooked. I think I'm officially addicted to Jessa York's writing, so I'm off to the next book in the series (which promises even more steamy romance and thrilling drama).

Oh my gosh! This was EVERYTHING! Hot, funny, angsty and heartbreaking, all amid a beautiful story of love, friends and family.

Lexi wins the strongest heroine award, hands down, as she takes a stand that doesn’t go over well with those around her. Her background has taught her lessons that others have been fortunate to not learn. Struggling against her past experiences as well as her emotions, she’s fighting a battle I wasn’t sure would guarantee her a happy ending. This author wrote this in a way that I felt a connection with Lexi throughout her journey and my heart hurt for her in every way.

Thanksgiving: Mashed Potatoes Passed Across Table From Overhead

I loved the way Trey came into awareness of his own needs. The situation he was in was perfect and holy heck, I bawled my eyes out with certain scenes and dialogue. It felt as though I were standing in the room with him and each consecutive step afterwards gripped my heart in a way that I was breathless from emotion.

This is definitely the very best duet this author has ever written. I was completely captivated by these characters and the manner in which Ms. York addressed their problem as well as their resolution and ultimately a set of the most incredible epilogues I could ever ask for.

Review Time: Pucked Up and Married (Las Vegas Angels #4) by Jessa York

Stars: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Jessa York has to be one of my favorite authors.

I have yet to read a book by her that I do not like.

Pucked Up and Married takes up from the end of the last book (One Night Puck).

At first Lexi got all the hate (not deserved), she was doing the right thing, not telling everyone Trey's business.

She had so much secrets and stress that didn't need to be on her. And I feel so bad for her.

Trey knew how to screw up in epic portions.

But he is stronger than he gives himself credit. Even Lexi understatemeted him.

I loved this book. But I cannot wait to see what is happening between Jillian and Cash.

I need answers.

Recommend: Yes 100%

*** 4.5 Stars ***

Pucked Up and Married (Las Vegas Angels #4) by Jessa York is a contemporary sports romance told in first person dual POV (with a few chapters at the end in other POVs). It’s the fourth book in the Las Vegas Angels series and the second half of a duet, concluding Trey and Lexi’s love story.

Pucked Up and Married picks up right where One Night Puck left off. Lexi has left Trey, and nobody understands why. She’s not talking about it because she wants to protect his reputation. As a result, most of Lexi’s team has turned against her in support of Trey, who insists he’s done nothing wrong and doesn’t want a divorce. What will happen when the truth is revealed? Can Trey win Lexi back?

I enjoyed the second half of Trey and Lexi’s story. It was great to find out Lexi’s secret from her past—and it’s HUGE. Trey was in denial about his issues, and I wondered if he’d ever wake up and get his act together. It’s a rough road to their HEA, but they get there. Through it all, Jillian was a fantastic friend to them both. I can’t wait to read Jillian and Cash's story and find out what she’s been hiding in Hate Puck.

Pucked Up and Married is part two of Lexi and Trey's story and the fourth book the Las Vegas Angels series and what an addictive one it is. Ms. York had me sitting on the edge of my seat with the ending in One Night Pucked but this one had me holding my breath. Lexi and Trey are a couple that is perfect for one another but when lies come to the surface and trust is lost, how can you stay with someone even if you love them with all your heart?

When Lexi left Trey she did it because she cannot live with an addict but because she still loved him she was hated by people on both teams. Why? Well, she would not disclose the reasoning for her leaving as what was happening between the two of them was personal. She was hurt that even her best friend was not supporting her but she knew that what she did was to protect her. The secrets that she kept from her husband, friends and teammates weighed heavily on her mind and heart. What happens when she jumps to conclusions about Trey and his night out with his teammates?
Can she get over what actually happened and the heartbreak that is caused? When one of the secrets is divulged to Trey, he still does not see why she left him. When she has no choice but to trust the one person that she feels might help, she leaves Trey in charge of the situation with her father. Will her decision be one that she will regret or is it possible that this might be a blessing in disguise? Can she trust the two men that she loves the most in this world to be together?

Trey loves Lexi with all his heart but when she leaves he is lost. He does not understand why she is blowing things out of proportion. When both teams and the hosts of the TV show make Lexi out to be the bad person in the relationship, Trey does nothing to rectify it. He does not offer to stand up for Lexi and take some of the heat for what is happening. Does he feel that he had done nothing wrong? When he has the chance to make things right will he? Hearing that his mother has left Hannah's father and learns that Hannah is going back to her father's, he offers to go with her and be there for her. Learning about her family secret still does not have him understanding that what he was doing was what was pushing Lexi away. Lexi takes him up on his offer to care for her dad since she is in the playoffs. Was this a good idea?

There is so much more that happens with the both of them in regards to secrets, lies and truths but I do not want to leave any spoilers. This book had my feelings all over the place. I went from heartache and wanting to help Lexi then needing to yell at Trey and tell him that he is not the man that he can be. He needed to open his eyes, realize that he is not the person that he could be and see that what Lexi has been saying had deep meaning to it. The way that both Lexi and Trey's characters developed was perfect. Even though it took Trey a lot longer to realize what needed to happen and what he needed to do, he did become the man that Lexi needed and loved.

Who doesn’t love a hockey romance? The continuation of Lexi and Trey’s story is a rollercoaster of emotions. Trey and Wes’s struggle with addiction is heartbreaking, while the love and unwavering support of strong women are truly heartwarming. These books about Lexi and Trey are the perfect mix of sexy and hot, funny and sad.

Lexi is a total badass—an unstoppable hockey player who takes no nonsense from anyone. On the other hand, Trey’s downward spiral from a carefree, loving hockey player to someone facing such challenges is deeply moving. Jessa York has a remarkable talent for pulling readers into her world and making them feel every high and low. Her storytelling captures all kinds of emotions and delivers them Masterfully.

I hated every character in this book. I HATED Lexies so called friends (except Jillian) and I hated her husband for being so so stupid and blind to not se he was an addict. He also did not do anything when she was being called and villain on television when she had not done anything to be one.

I hated Gigi, she who’s supposed to be her childhood friend before friend with Trey. She knew nothing about what really happened and just made Lexie be the villain in the story without knowing.😤
She did not deserve forgiveness from Lexie. Everyone was against Lexie without knowing😤😡
Lexie deserves way better friends and people than those in this book.😡🤬

Finding yourself

Working through addiction to find yourself. Taking one day at a time. In this story truth, heartache and hockey play a huge role. Will Trey and Lexi end in divorce? Will Lexi and Gigi end their friendship for goog? What will happen to Wes and Marium? Find out when you read the Picked up and Married.

This book was better than the one before. The characters were great but found Lexi to be a bit wishy washy. Treys storyline got really interesting! Storyline did hook you to see what happens.

Emotional Second Story in this Amazing Duet!!

It is important to read the first story in this duet to get the full impact of this story! Lexi has left Trey. Her team and her friends are angry with her – but she has a very good reason, but it is not her secret to tell. Tough start as we really like this couple. With everything on “camera” for the reality show – it is even harder.

This is emotional and realistic. An emergency has all the pieces fall in place, and Trey realizes what he has put her through as he comes to her aid. Completely captivating, emotional, romantic and an overall fabulous read.

***** I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book *****

This was a heartbreaking yet very realistic story in many ways. I really enjoyed it the only part that I had difficulty with was Gigi's behavior. Trey and Lexi were perfectly written though as was Wes. Can't wait for Jillian and Cash!!!

Book 2 of the Duet. Lexie leaves Trey when she finds out he is still taking pain pills. She gets a lot of rejection from both Hockey Players. No one knows the truth. Marianne leaves Lexie's father and everything changes when Lexie goes home to her father. Trey sees how being an addict can destroy your life. When Wes decides to go to rehab Trey stays for therapy. The puppy,Lexie's friends, and the love between their parents help to round out this story. The bonus epilogue was so heartwarming with the kids and the Olympics. Can't wait for Jillian and Cash's story.

Lexi and Trey may be married and have amazing off-the-chain sexual chemistry but the insurmountable problem between them remains. Poor Lexi gets shunned by everyone because she is keeping mum. No one knows the truth and Trey is convincing everyone that he is doing no wrong. He completely believes it, too.

Lexi has other baggage that no one knows about. She has had to carry it on her strong, slender shoulders for a very long time. All on her own. Now she has almost more than she can handle and no one to confide in. My heart broke for her. Only Jillian stood by her, not knowing any details but still being her friend. I loved her so much!

I loved seeing Wes and and Trey becoming close and connecting. Doing what they needed to do for the women they loved! The ending was nothing less than perfect leaving me craving Jillian and Chase's story which is coming up next!

My heart is so happy!

I wanted Lexi and Trey to find their happily ever after and I was worried for them. We were left in limbo in One Night Puck and Pucked Up and Married showed no mercy. Lexi is standing her ground on her dilemma with Trey and Trey is in complete denial. We have questions answered and oh my heart! I cried and cried for this couple. We get more of their parents, Wes and Marianne and wow, I did not know how much I needed their story too. This book wraps everything up and some parts were hard to get through, but the ending was perfect. We get more from the cameras, media and the group of hockey friends/family and their loyalty. Loved this book (duet) so much. My heart is already aching for our next heroine’s story.

When we last saw Lexi and Trey it was not good!

Lexi had done what she needed to do. She had to take car of herself.

Lots of teammates turned their backs on Lexi.

Trey had a lot of growing up to do luckily Lexi needed to go see her dad and some things clicked for him.

The story morphing from denial to realization to taking care of business was incredible. Sometimes I think it’s hard to portray certain situations and with this I felt right there-with them during the heartbreaking time!

I loved the wrap up of the story, everything tied together so well.

I love this series and am excited for it to continue!

Pucked Up and Married picked up where the last one left off and I loved it!

Lexi's world imploded when she left Trey but she was being true to herself and didn't share her reasons out of respect for Trey. Trey and Lexi were perfect together but she knew he had to figure out his shit before they could be together. He really loved Lexi and proved it many times. I loved all the interactions with their friends and teammates and was immediately pulled into the story. So happy for their ending, finally!

I can't wait to find out more about Jillian and why she chose Stuart over Cash as her fiancée. I'm sure it will be another great story!

Yep, definitely another page turner. I could not put this book down. Lexi is a very strong woman. I love how much Trey loves her and doesn't care who hears him showing or telling her. Love the input on mom and pop also.

This is Lexi and Trey’s second book and the fourth book in the Las Vegas Angels series. Lexi and Trey had so much to overcome in their story and they definitely had a roller coaster to navigate. Trey was in denial for a long time about his problems until he went to help Lexi as she dealt with her dad. Their story is full of heat and lots of tough decisions. The way their teams support them definitely leaves you wanting to see even more stories from the Angels.

Pucked up and Married is book 2 of Trey and Lexi's story. Their story really came together for me in this book. I felt really bad for Lexi with the way people treated her when it came to Trey. People forget things aren't always what they seem. Trey was an idiot and had to come to his own realizations. I liked the dynamic between Trey and Wes and the relationship they built in this book. Their parents relationship made more sense to me in this book too. I would have liked more of Trey and Lexi at the end, but I did really like the extended epilogue! I'm very excited for Jillian and Cash's story!!

Whew, this continuation of Trey and Lexi's book had soo many emotions in it for me. Dealing with addiction is not a easy thing for loved ones. Especially if the person with the addiction doesn't see it. This one hit all the feels for me. I felt for Lexi so much reading this as when you love someone so much but choose yourself that is huge and I was glad she did that finally. I mean there is an HEA if that is what your looking for but it was hard fought and am glad it happened.

This is the second part of Lexi and Trey’s story. They are such a lovely couple, they have awesome chemistry and are just perfect for each other. Their story has an unexpected twist, like BOOM! And then it just keeps getting more tangled up until finally we see a solution to the whole mess. Wow! Loved their story!!!

It was awesome. I’m getting addicted to Jessa York’s books. I definitely want to read the next book in the series.
