Sōichirō Yamamoto (山本崇一朗, Yamamoto Sōichirō) is a Japanese manga artist. He is known for writing and illustrating Teasing Master Takagi-san and Soredemo Ayumu wa Yosetekuru. Both series have been published in Monthly Shōnen Sunday and Weekly Shōnen Magazine, respectively.

This series has really grown on me after the last book and this one, while lacking the heavy emotional walloping of volume 5’s opening, shows a continued change in its storytelling.

The subtle ramping up from Takagi picking on Nishikata because she likes him to the current status of her doing essentially the same thing but with them both having the pangs of adolescent attraction really makes a difference. There’s more of a point to it and Nishikata’s slow turn to reciprocating her feelings is great.

I won’t be shocked if the one time he “wins” versus Takagi is when trying to call her bluff by asking her out - idle speculation, but it feels like an appropriate turn (if it happens).

Oke, setelah vol 5, ada ekspektasi yg membuncah utk vol. 6. Namun, yaah...

Serial ini benar-benar berkembang dg cukup baik, hanya saja tidak memiliki dampak emosional yang berat laiknya vol 5. Setidaknya vol 6 ini tetap dapat menunjukkan perubahan yang berkelanjutan dalam penceritaannya.

Peningkatan halus dari Takagi memilih Nishikata karena dia menyukainya hingga statusnya saat ini dari dia melakukan hal yang pada dasarnya sama tetapi dengan mereka berdua memiliki rasa ketertarikan remaja benar-benar membuat perbedaan (apa siih hha). Ada juga lebih banyak gunanya dalam perkembangan karakter menilik lambatnya Nishikata dalam membalas perasaannya, ini tergambar dengan bagus :)))

Good volume, but it felt like it was treading water.

Something about this volume felt tired to me. The stories were cute, and the situations were fun, but it didn’t feel fresh. I did like the peek we got into Takagi’s self-awareness on page 95 that her need to tease Noshikata is getting in the way of their romance.

4.25 Stars. A great entry into the series that showed us our main Duo hanging out with the other couple in the series. It was refreshing and enjoyable to see them hang out with their other friends which we rarely get to see more than a one-page interaction with.

This volume delves more into how well the pair know each other. He notices when she's off and she shows how he'll react again and again. It was kind of fun to see the pair interact with classmates who are dating, showing how different the two pairs are.

Well, Nishikata is now zero for six volumes in topping Takagi. It's mostly his own fault because he over-thinks everything. How many volumes will be needed for Nishikata to get a clue?
