This story delivers a fast, cinematic adventure that spans continents and cultures.
It follows Rick’s survival after a near-fatal kayaking accident and his journey back to strength amid a web of loyalty, lost treasure, and betrayal.
The plot unfolds through action and discovery, balancing danger with emotional depth.
Its pace remains steady, never stalling, as mysteries tie together; from ancient jewels in Brazil to modern cryptographic schemes and a perilous flight that ends in Jamaica.
The characters feel grounded and human.
Rick’s muted resilience anchors the group. Jules offers compassion and resolve. Garrett brings intellect and ambition, his creation of Bitcoin adding a fresh modern twist. Secondary figures like Johnny, Possum, and David enrich the world, their shared loyalty giving the story warmth and continuity.
The writing is crisp and cinematic, with vivid scenes and direct dialogue.
It reads like a modern action drama with hints of moral reflection on trust, wealth, and survival.
Readers who enjoy fast-paced adventure, strong friendships, and global intrigue will find this story engaging, satisfying, and rewarding.
This book was filled with many twists and turns. The travel was exciting. The friendship bonds were so loving and kind. This book holds your interest cover to cover. I really enjoyed this book from start to finish.
Fun, entertaining, often funny. Sound like a typical murder mystery?! Nope. Creative character development, various travel fun & exploring new areas and cultures, and he always manages to tie up loose ends without being totally unbelievable. Enjoying the series.
Friends who were like family get together to investigate a murder that one of them is accused of having committed. When money is no object, they have nothing holding them back.
Again, the storyline was great! The characters continue to keep me interested and the suspense keeps me on my toes! Starting the next in the series now.
Not the best one. Number 4 in a series of 19? I believe it is. It wasn't bad, though. But it was a chapter almost of just fishing from the boat. yup. Not exciting. Not my favourite so far.
As a native Destinite, I enjoyed the familiar places. I heard there was a local hero known as the Mayor of Norriego Pointe, that was not in the story...
This is the fourth book in Eric Stone Chance’s Rick Waters Adventures. The story lines of all four books are well thought out, however, although the editing of the first three books was spot on, this book has so many major grammatical errors that it took almost twice as long to read, just because those errors were so horrendously distracting. I suggest that Mr. Stone pull this book, and get a proofreader & editor to actually READ THE BOOK, not just run it through a spellcheck program.
The story line is great. Plenty of action, fast paced and interesting. I did have a problem with the editing. There are a lot of mispelled words and grammar mistakes. It is difficult sometimes to keep on track with the story. Get the editing issue corrected and this is a very entertaining book as are the rest in the series.
