When you're with Geronimo Stilton, it's always a fabumouse adventure!
Trap had finally talked me into taking a relaxing vacation. But it turned out it wouldn’t just be given to me. We were going to have to win it! I was on my way to Port Stinky to win a race against the wild. Could I stand the smell long enough to win?

I've always loved the Geronimo Stilton series for its super-bright illustrations, and its funny cast of characters. 'Author' and main character, Geronimo Stilton, is editor of The Rodent's Gazette, and loves to write and tell stories. He is a self-admitted scaredy-mouse. When cousin Trap insists they embark on a luxury holiday resort competition, little does Geronimo know it will entail survival of the fittest and lots of scarey moments that he ratfully overcomes.
This is a great series for young readers needing a bridge from picture books to chapter books. In particular, the way the colorful fonts reflect the emotions/adventure, is delightful. Many years ago, I read the earlier books in the series. It's fascinating to see that Mouse vs Wild is Book 82, and that The Rodent's Gazette has been updated to include its own webmaster and homepage.
I love these books so much, when I was in school I used to pick these ones out all the time. But this one was not the greatest. I understand it's about them competing but why make it to be to where half of them were cheating, it made it feel like it was planed like that. And takes away the fact that they want to go to a beach, and how did they know right off the bat it got me annoyed. I was not impressed, I understand if you like it, just not for me. But overall ☆☆☆ not the best gero. And also his cousins tricks were predictable 🙄
