Ich habe mein Debüt-Roman nach etlichen Monaten und viel Herzblut endlich veröffentlichen dürfen und möchte jedem Menschen von tiefster Seele danken, dass er/sie sich die Zeit genommen hat, in die Geschichte einzutauchen. Val und Kaden sind mir so ans Herz gewachsen, dass ich sie einfach nicht mehr gehen lassen kann. Vor allem aber haben es mir zwei weitere Charaktere angetan und ich hoffe, dass ihr sie genauso liebt, wie ich. Doch merkt euch eins: die Grenzen zwischen gut und böse sind verschwommen; jeder Charakter hat seine Stärken und Schwächen, Höhen und Tiefen. Nur weil jemand Gutes tut, macht es ihn nicht sofort zum Helden und nur weil jemand Schlechtes tut, ist er nicht sofort der Bösewicht.
Falls ihr nicht bis zum nächsten Teil warten könnt, habe ich eine Facebook-Gruppe eingerichtet, wo wir uns zusammen über das Buch unterhalten können. Dort werde ich auch die ersten paar Kapitel des zweiten Teils veröffentlichen. Glaubt mir, ihr werdet es brauchen

Ich durfte das Buch als Testleserin schon lesen und hab’s geliebt. Das Buch wird sehr schnell spannend und grade im letzten Drittel konnte ich’s gar nicht mehr weglegen. Die Charaktere möchte ich alle sehr gerne und vorallem einer hat’s mir mega angetan😅 Die Einführung in die Magie und die Welt ist super gut gelungen und ich find sie super interessant. Kann’s kaum erwarten mehr von Valentina und Kaden zu lesen vorallem nach dem Ende! Kann das Buch total empfehlen und denke grade Leser die z.B. Das Reich der sieben Höfe oder die Elfenkrone Trilogie mochten sollte aufjedenfall mal in Freedom and Betrayal reinlesen.

Ich hatte die Ehre dieses Buch als Testleserin vorab schon lesen zu dürfen und ich muss sagen das einfach alles an diesem Buch stimmt und ich es einfach jedem empfehlen kann.
Die Story hat einfach alles. Von Magie über Romantik und Feindseligkeit ist alles dabei. Jeder der die Bücher von Sarah J. Maas geliebt hat wird dieses noch mehr lieben so war es zumindest bei mir. ☺️
Ich freue mich schon auf den Moment wo ich das Buch endlich in meinen Händen halten kann und es immer und immer lesen kann.

Das Buch hat mich in seinem Bann gezogen und ließ mich nicht mehr los, Val und ihre Freunde sind mir sehr ans Herz gewachsen und ich liebe die Charaktere! Ein Buch für jeden Fantasy Liebhaber!!

Listen people, I am not a hater.
In fact, this book had so much potential! It was great even, but I’ll get to that later. (I’m a fan of ending on a high note, and the note here is VERY high) But first: the bad news.
The first ca 50% of this book is an absolute drag. The writing is short and inconsistent, I was confused most of the time because the character kept making conclusions that I couldn’t understand, the Love Interest is an absolute asshole and there was like, a negative amount of chemistry. At 25%, I was asking myself: wasn’t this supposed to be urban/high fantasy?
Sometimes, the way things were put was weird, but that’s completely normal for translations, so I didn’t mind that. I just didn’t feel like the author liked writing the first part of the book? It lacked the energy, enthusiasm and magic of the second half. It was too short and also too long at the same time. Boring because I was confused but also very bumpy because we weren’t getting enough details and the timeline felt way too hectic.
There were also some common mistakes debut authors make like repetitions of certain language (she called her best friends face, specifically, gorgeous so many times I was convinced the twist was going to be that she was the real Love Interest) and gibing information in a confusing way. The author knows where the story is going to go, but we readers don’t, so if we read “the big party” and it’s a party referenced once like 5 chapters ago, it gets confusing.
Honestly, I feel like this book is a perfect example of why editors and betas are needed, not only for grammar and spelling but also for structural edits (for example I think the beginning part would have felt less rushed if we only had half or a third of the scenes, but had time jumps in between. It would have made the romance less Insta-lovey). The author self-published, which is an amazing achievement! However, I believe a professional editor could have easily given this book a diamond polish.
Because people, once the fun part started, there was no holding back. The writing had energy, the characters that felt somewhat flat became multi-dimensional and the romance storyline had such a spark! There is a parallel dimension in this, and once the mc travels there, the story picks up immensely. I loved every single character, or loved to hate them. The MC stopped feeling irrationally angry and honestly frustratingly dumb and became such a strong character with an interesting back story and a personality I enjoyed reading about. I can’t say anything about the LI without spoilers, but I will say that the romance plot of the book left me squealing.
AND THE CLIFFHANGER.
The cliffhanger left me so shocked, I just stared at it for a while.
I hope this author keeps writing. I really do. I’d love to beta for her, even. Because the second half of this book showed me that there is so much more in her, such huge potential. I will be reading the second one the MINUTE it comes out.

I have to preface this review by saying I don’t like fantasy book. The most fantasy books I’ve read is Harry Potter and the Preston Academy series by Bianca, so as I’ve been following Bianca on tiktok since she was promoting her first book of the Preston academy saga, I just started to read it without knowing it was a fantasy book.

Let me tell you that I first I was like, I like the idea of this book, but I’m really not liking this romance, this doesn’t feel like real-earth-shattering-heart-and-mind consuming love and devotion that I usually crave in a book, I was feeling like it was rushing and kind of weird, I didn’t suspect A SINGLE thing, and then, then BUM!!! Elizar changed everything. I honestly never been more surprised by a plot-twist, I didn’t suspect a thing.

Now, moving to the other aspects of the book, the world construction was amazingly made, usually when I read a book (I read a lot) I imagine this ‘generic’ pictures on my mind about the scenery and such, but with freedom and betrayal I imagined everything so vividly, I really felt submerged in Elyanne, and even the battle scenes (that I usually don’t enjoy too much) had me reading without wanting to stop.
So please, do yourself a favor and buy and read this book, you won’t regret it.

Holpriger Anfang und absolute Liebe am Ende.
Ich habe meine Schwierigkeiten gehabt in dieses Buch einzusteigen, aber aus sicherer Hand wurde mir versichert, dass ich es lohnt dran zu bleiben und ich bin drangeblieben und unfassbar dankbar dafür, sonst wäre mir eine fantastische Geschichte durch die Lappen gegangen.
Eine Geschichte voller Magie und Liebe, aber auch kritische schwere Themen werden hier behandelt und angesprochen und gehen an die Substanz und ganz tief.
Am Anfang hätte ich nicht gedacht, dass ich dieses Buch so emotional berührt schließe und nun den zweiten Teil sehnsüchtig herbeisehnen.
Der Schreibstil ist flüssig. Mir persönlich fehlt es noch an tiefe, aber man darf nicht vergessen, dass es der Debüt Roman von
Bianca Mov ist und sie wirklich fantastische Arbeit geleistet hat.
Die Welt ist absolut lebhaft und bildhaft beschrieben und auch die Charaktere sind alle für sich einzigartig und spannend.
Und ich hoffe, dass uns einige der Charakter auch noch im zweiten Band wieder begegnen werden.
Die Protagonistin ist unglaublich stark, mutig und selbstbewusst. Am Anfang erschien sie mir naiv, aber je mehr man über sie erfahren hat, desto mehr Verständnis konnte ich für sie aufbringen.
Mit steigernder Story Line, wächst man gemeinsam mit den Charakteren über sich hinaus und entdeckt ganz neue Charakterzüge und neue Welten.

I WAS NOT PRAPARED FOR THIS
The book itself is similar The Mortal Instuments, but with witches and a lot more action. Bianca's writing style makes it a lot more fun and entertaining as well. I like these characters infinitely more. The plot is captivating and always finds a way to surprise you. If I could have I would've read this in a couple of days, but work kept me busy, so I had to slow down a bit. Nevertheless, I LOVED every second of it and I will be rereading this one and following the series as soon as it's available. I think it's safe to say that Bianca Mov has quickly become one of my favorite authors and I will follow along to any other stories she writes (3 out of 3 have been 5⭐ books so.....) .
Also, I need a moment to mention how painful this book was to read, in the best way possible. The heartbreak. The betrayal. The suspense. The magic. Everything.
I can't wait to see what Bianca comes out with next, I NEED more of everything she makes.

This was a wonderful fantasy book. This was a fantastic forbidden love story that immediately grabbed my attention. I loved the characters and relationships in this book as well as the world that the author created. This book was beautifully written and I felt like I was right there with the characters.

It was slow for me, and I found myself bored at times, especially since it was a long book. I liked the beginning and I liked Kaden as the love interest. The fantasy aspect felt forced, especially bc Bianca has written better fantasy. I felt a little grossed out about the fact that Elizar became the “mate” love interest. I think the only off-putting trait about Kaden was his need to kill the peoples who killed his parents. I really didn’t like how he gave up his love for Val to travel across the worlds. Like, just move on from your grief like a normal person and find content with the love of your life. The whole mate plot line with Elizar confused me, bc isn’t the whole point of finding your mate that you fall in love with them no matter if you were in a previous relationship??? Val still having real true feelings for Kaden just shows that she might be Elizar’s mate, but he is definitely not hers. It was a good read, but there were so many questionable things about it that made it such a boring experience. It could have been done better. I did like Emma - she was a bad ass

Ich hab es bereits einmal gelesen und wusste genau wie das Buch endet und trotzdem hat es mich wieder vollkommen zerstört. Das Ende? WIE KANN MAN DAS EINEM LESER ANTUN?!
Ich wusste ganz genau wie es endet und dennoch hab ich geschrien als ich die letzte Seite gelesen habe!
Ich durfte vorab die englische Übersetzung lesen und es hat mich nicht enttäuscht!
Der Schreibstil ist so angenehm zu lesen!
Die Charaktere sind wunderbar beschrieben. Ich hab mich in Elizar verliebt und er ist nach den Batboys von SJM mein liebster Bookboyfriend!
Auch der Plot ist Mega gelungen! Erst denkt man, dass man ein NA Buch liest, bis der Twist kommt und das Buch sich in eine Romantasy verwandelt.
Ich wünschte ich könnte Elyanne besuchen. Das worldbuilding ist einfach zu schön um sich nicht darin verlieren zu können. Sowohl in Deutsch als auch in Englisch sehr zu empfehlen! Ich warte jetzt auf Band 2!!

I found this to be a rather quick book to read. It has all the typical aspects of love, betrayal and magic with witches. I liked the book. I liked the adventure and magic throughout the book. I thought the love story was a little forced and I found the male love interest to be quite arrogant and rude…but that’s typical of enemies to lovers. He wasn’t my favorite but it didn’t take away from the pace of the storyline.
The female character was well thought out and well written. She’s fierce and badass. Who doesn’t love this combination? And while I found the beginning of the story to be a slower get up into the overall idea of this adventure, the ending left me wanting more. The ending is just…well you’ll have to read it 😂.

I’ve once mentioned Miss Bianca being the queen of forbidden romance. Well she’s the queen of cliffhangers too and they’re killing me😭
“Freedom and Betrayal” is the fourth book that I’m reading from this author and I’m absolutely in love with.
It is so captivating and it kept me hooked from the very first page. I loved the characters and I’m so intrigued to find out more about what is seems from my perspective like “the love triangle in progress” 🤫 The ending shocked me and I can’t wait for the second book in this series.

Good fantasy story. My only comment is that the plot is maybe « too easy ». I mean that the heroine fell too easily in love (she used to be suspicious with every stranger) and that she accept too easily a world that is not meant to exist.
BUT the plot looks good so I will continue to read the saga !

Hab‘s gerade beendet und einfach wow! Ich liebe das Buch so sehr! Persönlich hoffe ich eher darauf das Val mit Elizar enden wird und nicht Kaden da ich ihn bisschen nervig fand aber ich freue mich so sehr auf Band zwei weiß aber nicht wie ich es überstehen soll noch lange zu warten wegen dem Plot Twist am Ende 😭

Persönlich hoffe ich eher darauf das Val mit Elizar enden wird und nicht Kaden da ich ihn bisschen nervig fand aber ich freue mich so sehr auf Band zwei weiß aber nicht wie ich es überstehen soll noch lange zu warten wegen dem Plot Twist am Ende 😭

I really liked this book! I was lucky to be an ARC reader and for me it started a little slow but the more I read, the better I liked it. The characters are well-written, and the book ends on a cliffhanger that left me in shock! So can't wait for the next book!

Erste der besten Fantasyreihen, die ich jemals gelesen habe…. Es hat die besten Tropes und ein sehr spannendes Ende, was einen scharf auf den zweiten Teil macht. Ich kann es kaum erwarten, den zweiten Teil zu lesen.

Could not get through this book, it’s such an absurd story, I don’t understand how the main characters’ relationship developed so quick?? The pace is off and the characters aren’t interesting.

CLIFF HANGER 😫. I overall enjoyed the book, but parts of it felt very drawn out and unneeded making it hard to stay focused.
