Your Must Have Holiday Indulgence - I only read Ruthless Rival: New Adult Brother’s Best Friend Romance in this collection and I have recorded my review for that book below:
Lucy and Owen’s relationship had been tumultuous growing up with him as her older brother’s best friend, so she wasn’t pleased to see him on the first day of her internship or to find out he was also an intern and they would be competing for the single position available. Lucy was aware of Owen’s antic and she wasn’t surprised when he started creating problems and blaming her. However, they soon realised there was a connection between them, after a horrendous incident with their boss, where Owen had to defend Lucy, led to a highly sexually charged encounter between. This took them on a path of personal growth and determination to strive for a better future.
This story was really believable, as what happened to Lucy is an ongoing issue that continues to happen to many women in the workplace today. The storyline had real depth and I was pleasantly surprised and happy to see the decision Owen made to ensure their futures were secured, as reporting the matter wouldn’t have guaranteed a resolution to their satisfaction. I really enjoyed reading this story and I will be happy to recommend this book for your reading pleasure.
I received an advanced copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Especially for younger people. There also were a good number of distracting typos. The male characters were immature and the female characters awfully and easily forgiving.
