My life was a nightmare wrapped in dark secrets. Separated from my sister at an early age, I was surrounded by twisted depravity that threatened to tear me apart. After losing everything and everyone I loved, I was cast out into a world I wasn’t prepared for. The Death Hounds saved my daughter from a life of misery and through them, I was reunited with her.

He saw the darkest parts of my soul and embraced them, offering me love and support unlike anything I’d ever experienced. He knew some of my secrets, but there were still dangers lurking in the shadows. He had his own demons that called him into the darkness, but together, we fought the darkness and began to build a future.

When faced with a vile monster from my past, I used the strength he gave me and fought to survive. My saviors on steel horses came to my rescue, but this time, a Death Hound was caught in the crossfire. Would the club still support me, or would they cast me back into a life of isolation?

With darkness closing in again, the only one who could protect me was the man who held my heart, and would destroy the world, just to see me smile. But when the truth is finally revealed, would he still be standing by my side, or would my daughter and I have to face the world alone?

Wow, just wow! We loved Rose's story, it was so heartbreaking and emotional. Our heart went out to Rose time and time again for the pain and anguish she has suffered and for the position she has been put in where she questions her self-worth. Rose is stronger than she thinks, and when she asserts herself, she is full of fire and passion.

Jackal was a sweetheart, loved him for how caring and compassionate he was with Rose and protective and only wanted the best for her and her daughter, loved how Jackal was so protective of both of them. We loved the underlying chemistry that lay between them, even when it was just friendship between them. As the story progressed, we more than ever thought that Jackal would be the man Rose needed to go forward in her healing journey. Jackal's sexual needs and his need for dominance and control might be just what Rose needs to be whole once again.

Rose has missed out on so much life, the life so many of us take for granted but, that woman was a survivor and through it all her and even in anguish and pain she did everything she could to protect her daughter in the only way she could.

Overall, a compelling story about heartache and pain, salvation and love. You have to admire how fierce and protective Jackal and his brothers are with their women and how they love them with their all and will always seek justice on their behalf for the wrongs done to them. Loved that we saw Rose blossom throughout her story, and the love between her and Jackal blossom as well. There were more than a few unexpected surprises that we did not see coming, so that made the story even more of a mystery that needed solving and the situations even more intense.

Adam (aka Jackal) has felt very protective over Rose since he met her, and since he has a dark past himself, he's able to empathize with her a great deal. See, Rose got put in a very bad situation before she was even 13 & it was dark & hellish in the extreme. On top of that, she had to do things to get her & her daughter away from the situation they were in, but even that was hellish in the extreme so I wanted to hug her in the worst way as her intense pain was palpable. She & Adam have been circling around each other, and while the sparks are flying like crazy, he's doing his best to not pressure her into anything but she's taking it as rejection since she's been conditioned to think she's not worth anything. Adam is seriously perfect for her with the patience of a saint, and maybe just maybe she'll finally open up to him so she can start healing from it all & they have a fantastic future. However, the past doesn't always stay in the past so more darkness is stalking her. This MC is perfect in the way they treat their women & kids as they will die before letting anyone hurt said family so I'm in love with each & every one of them. I CANNOT WAIT for more by this amazing author since I'll never get enough & HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Surviving Your Past

Both Jackal/Adam and Rose have pasts that they are trying to live with. After rescuing Rose, Jackal has taken it upon himself to stay with her and protect her and her little girl, Iris. The Death Hounds MC are men who love not only their club but their families as well and will do anything in protecting them. With Rose’s tormentor still on the loose its only a matter of time before things go to h*ll. With the type of torment that Rose went through is she strong enough to have a relationship and Jackal, protect her daughter and rise from the ashes?

The Death Hounds MC series has been one I always get my hands on asap because they are that good. The only I have to say is to trust the trigger warnings because this book is full of darkness. With that said I highly recommend Jackal.

Jackal by HJ Marshall is book 4 in the Death Hounds Mc Series. This is the story Adam and Rose. I have read the previous book which did add to my enjoyment of this one. Rose is the twin sister of Violet whose story played out in the previous book 'Needles'. Rose hasn't had it easy from start to now but she has been reunited with her daughter Iris and her sister Violet. With this she has found Adam. Adam too has some upsetting story but he feels the attraction to Rose along with a protective feelings. Enjoyed this book and series.

I loved this one. It was quite dark with everything Rosie went through but it all ended with a happy ever after. I can't wait to read the next book.

HJ Marshall is one of my favorite authors. She tells her characters stories so dang well that you just can't stop reading. Jackal and Rose have wonderful chemistry together and even with all of the baggage they just work. He brings out the woman she is meant to be and she calms and completes him. Then you have sweet little Iris, Rose's daughter, whom he loves as his own. They go through so much together and fight like crazy for their love. This is a must read series!

WOWZA! JACKAL IS SIMPLY PHENOMENAL. WHAT A FANFREAKINGTASTIC ADDITION TO THE DEATH HOUNDS MC SERIES! MY OWN HEART IS NOW PERMANENTLY LINKED WITH THIS BEAUTIFUL 5-STAR ROMANCE! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

What a FANFREAKINGTASTIC addition to the Death Hounds MC series by Author H.J. Marshall . GAH!! Every time the author adds another book to this series, I can't decide which one is best. They're all that good.

Jackal is the perfect damsel in distress/white knight/MC romance with a huge heaping of darkness and suspense and all the feels. It's a highly emotional story so prepare yourself. It's no fairytale that's for sure. Lucky for me this trope is a favorite of mine.

Were there twists? You bet. There are different types of twists in this story that eventually unfold but my romance loving lips are sealed. I will say that by twists I mean some of them refer to the sick twists who wreaked havoc in the lives of one broken woman, two sisters, and a young child. The after affects as well as past events also touched the lives of an entire MC including extended families and friends. This includes an alphalicious biker with a penchant for being so swoony he made me weak in the knees and breathless, a beautiful loving but lost and broken woman who's looking for a way to heal and get her family back, a prospect, and finally, a madman and his brother!!!

Our Hero Jackal/Adam is a member of the Death Hounds MC. EEP! Let me tell you he is to DIE for! He is INSANELY swoony, INCREDIBLY patient, UNBELIEVABLY kind, SERIOUSLY lovable, and DELIRIOUSLY sexy and not just because he's gorgeous. He's all that and so much more because of his beautiful heart and the goodness that resides within him. He never falters. But don't piss him off, threaten his woman, her daughter or his family/brothers and you'll see a whole other side to this white knight on a steel horse. His compassionate, understanding and patient nature is what makes him so wonderful. He's exactly what our heroine Rose and daughter Iris needs. I flipping ADORED him! You will too.

Our Heroine is Rose. She's Violet's identical twin sister whom we met in the last book. This woman is so completely and utterly broken. I don't want to give any spoilers other than to say she lived a nightmare. A nightmare that follows her wherever she goes.

When the twins were 12 years old they were together in foster care. That's when the lives of these two sisters take a dramatic, heart wrenching and unimaginable turn for the worst. What happened? Sorry no spoilers.

As I mentioned before, we were briefly introduced to Rose and her daughter Iris in the third book in the series, Needles. Rose had been held captive and was subjected to acts of depravity that soured my stomach. She was determined to escape somehow.

She was just 13 when she gave birth to a baby girl, Iris who was fathered by the sickening lunatic and child rapist Preston. 3 years later she and Iris ran.... ran as fast as they could. Right into another nightmare that changed everything! Lordy have mercy on what she endured.....

Rose is fighting the ghosts of lunatics past in her present and needs someone to guide her. That's where Jackal comes in. He is just the man for the job given his need to control.

Because of her secluded upbringing Rose struggles with social cues and is uncomfortable around other people, not knowing how to act or what to say. Jackal is awe inspiring in his quest to help Rose heal from her tragic past and feel at ease around others. Every hurdle is handled together. Every heartache is felt together. Just as it should be. But just as things settle down, a storm approaches.

The evildoers in this story affected this group of people in different ways. That's all these loose lips are saying. Every single character plays a vital role just as in every book in this series. It's very character driven. I loved that.

Will deadly lightning strike Rose twice? Three times? Someone is hell bent on taking Rose back. Who is it? Well, all I'll say is that it's a delusional sick freak with a heavy iron fist when it comes to Rose and they've got no problem wielding it to remind Rose who's in charge. Could it be the lunatic Preston? Did he come back from the dead? Yikes!

When the evil arrives, will the powers that be, meaning the Death Hounds make it in time or will it be too late? Will one strong and brave yet vulnerable and scared woman rise up against all odds and take back her power? Will one woman's nightmare turn into one night of vengeance? I'm not saying. But it's soooooo good.

Nothing says "brotherhood" like 30+ men on motorcycles showing they stand united as Death Hounds, ready and willing to help save the day, save an old lady and save one of their own.

In this book, you'll learn what heroism is all about. That the real heroes in this story may surprise you. Shock and awe baby! Maybe you'll catch glimpses of softness from these tough as nails bikers or from extended families. But make no mistake, DHMC family is not to be messed with. Hurt someone in the family, you're playing with fire and you're going to get burned… Death Hounds style.

I love the fact that the Death Hounds couples we've come to know and love in the prior books as well as Devlin and James are all in this book as well. That's why I love this series. Each book has the "Family" in them. So you don't have to miss them.

One child. One woman. One life. A child that was ripped apart from her only family and was thrust inside a world so dark she could not see her way out. A world of deep depravity and debauchery beyond one's comprehension and belief. How could this happen to her young life? A life of a child having to grow up too soon and too fast and was now responsible for another life. A life she would risk everything for. Then it happens again. Her life was ripped away from her once more. This time, she would do things differently. She would lay down her life if need be.

A woman started out afraid, weak and defeated and that grew into hopelessness. With the love of a good man and his MC family, she came out the other side of darkness a brave, strong, triumphant and victorious sister, mother and survivor and woman in love. She has the best of everything. A beautiful, endearing daughter, a sister who would do anything for her happiness and healing and a man who changed her life, her world, and made her dreams come true. He gave her freedom. She gave him her trust and then her heart. They gave each other a complete family.

Each and every member combined in this mc family tell the story of how far FAMILY goes to protect their own. They don't think about it, they just do it because it comes naturally for them. I really wanted to be a part of this family. The abundance of care, love and affection they show each other was, in my eyes, EPIC!

This book has it all and it's most definitely UNPUTDOWNABLE! Which is exactly why I had both eyes taped open when reading from dusk until dawn, so as not to fall asleep. I was fully focused and completely enthralled with this amazing romance. It had a stranglehold on me and didn't let go until the very last word written was read. And still, I wanted more....

For me it was terribly heartbreaking to see Rose be so afraid at every turn. Her thinking she was worthless and unlovable, and that there was something wrong with her nearly broke me. Having had her family stolen from her life, left her a broken mess without hope. Her fear was stifling and tore my heart to shreds. Reading how she navigated through the horrors that followed was excruciating but necessary for the reader. Given her history as well as Jackal's, things could have turned out much worse. Their pasts had the power to destroy them both. Their unconditional love was stronger, fiercer and more powerful and was the driving force that healed them both.

Jackal ended with the biggest bang I ever read! It's so cringe worthy yet so satisfying. Yup, can't say I've ever had a romance ending on such a powerful note. Trust me. It's dynamite. I'm still smiling at the justice of it all! I guess you could say the devil got his due. It was positively perfect.

BOOK FAVORITES:
I have a lot but I'll say the two top faves involve honesty after a morning argument. And the epilogue.

Favorite serious line:
"With Adam and the club standing behind us, danger didn’t stand a chance."

Favorite funny line:
When Gladys says "I'm going to go home and finish that new book you suggested last week. It’s just getting juicy, and I want to know if she ends up with him or his brother.”

Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, the author went and blew me away with one of the most powerful and moving epilogues that I've ever had the pleasure to read. I was truly gobsmacked and filled with such joy.

And as hard as I tried I couldn't hold back the tears. But don't you worry. I promise that they were the best kind of tears. Tears that held the power to heal this reader. Those tears watered my soul and I swear to the heavens my heart soared and my soul bloomed with a happiness that felt good all over. For those blooms were aptly named Rose, Iris and Violet. This beautiful bouquet, including their men, now owns a piece of me. I will never forget their story.

As I wiped my tears and approached the end of this unforgettable tale I was so sad to say goodbye. But I know I'll be seeing them again in the following additions to this series. At least I hope I do. When all was said and done Jackal and Rose linked hands. Just like my own heart permanently linked with this beautiful 5-star romance! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

What I've come to learn about H.J. Marshall's books is that they are full of twists and turns and the unexpected and no not all of them are good. This author writes some really dark things and they are all relatable and realistic. Sure you can read Jackal as a standalone but I really don't recommend it. If you want to understand everything going on because of how all the books crossover you have to read the series Embattled Dreams before starting the Death Hounds MC series. Part of Jackal's story is left over from the last book in the series. Jackal knew Violet since a young age when Gladys and her husband adopted her. She kind of became Jackals little sister in a way. In the last book we learn that Violet has an identical twin sister Rose that she was separated from in foster care when they were young. Violet ended up with the happy family that every child could want while her sister Rose ended up in the nightmare. They know this because they saved her daughter Iris and that had Violet determined to find her sister once and for all. Jackal swore to her that he would find Rose and he did. He found a completely broken woman who was just trying to survive for her daughter and he felt an instant connection to her. Jackal was everything Rose could need to put herself back together again and with him came his army of brothers who would hurt anyone that threatened her or her daughter ever again. Rose had been secluded since she was very young and that made her very awkward in social situations but with Jackal by her side with his patience and love helped her learn things she never did before. Even with the past coming for her she strives to be the woman and mother Jackal and Iris needs. Every character in this book - good and bad - is there for a purpose. This series is so intertwined that you have to read from the beginning to understand all their purposes and how they strive to save the innocents that are wronged from their nightmares coming back for them. The men of the Death Hounds might be looked at as the bad guys but they really are the heroes no one knows about and that's how they like it. They do anything and everything to protect their family and the ones they care about. Having the outside help of Devlin and James just makes them stronger. H.J. Marshall writes some really dark stuff that could trigger a lot of people but it is brilliant. I don't know how anyone could love these books. Hatchet's book is up next and I can't wait to see where this story goes cause it is no where near done.

Devastating, redeeming and healing.

This fourth book in Author HJ Marshall’s Death Hounds MC was such a beautifully written yet devastating read. She can place her characters into the worst of circumstances and respectfully, sympathetically and without the use of gratuitous descriptions, give voice to past victims and acknowledge their trauma and ongoing healing. Check this dedication:

“For those special individuals who have been able to move past the trauma that left you broken, I stand in awe of you. Continue to rise above the past and lift your head to a brighter future.”

My review isn’t speaking to the blurb or Rose, Iris and Jackal’s story, because there are some pretty awesome reviews out there already, nor am I saying how much I love each of the characters who all play an exacting and important role in our couple’s life. It’s about the gift of Ms Marshall’s writing, her sensitive handling of Rose’s childhood sexual, physical and mental abuses, her escape, her demeanour and her recovery. Absolutely yes there are obviously triggers, and with the high percentage of her readership perhaps having suffered similar abuse in some measure, they will need to read responsibly, yet may find validation in Rose’s written POV, so I would urge any reader who loves dark deadly yet honourable men, and heroines who find inner strength and healing, to definitely give these words from Ms Marshall a go.

Twenty five percent remember, that’s one in four women and girls who have experienced such pain and abuse at some stage over their lifetimes. The stats aren’t good and potentially are a large portion of Ms Marshall’s fan base. If you’re tempted enough, let the words of Ms Marshall’s heroine Rose be your voice, her strength become yours, and her healing become your healing. Maybe you even have a man in your life to provide that tower of strength as Jackal is to Rose. He was beautifully and carefully crafted to be exactly who Rose needed.

I could continue because there is so much that I love about Ms Marshall’s gift of writing, but instead all I’ll add is that if you love dark romances that celebrate dark saviours, the ones who will go to deadly extremes to protect the ones they love, and heroines who find their strength and recovery within the proximity of these men, then hit these books, because they’re freaking All-Star-Awesome!!! 🖤💙💀🖤💙

She found her daughter, her freedom from captivity, and The Community, but she still felt as if her life was a mess. Would her daughter, sister, Jackal, and the Death Hounds MC family be better off without her around? Can her life have meaning after the tragedy that she’s lived through? Rose is a strong woman who has fought to get her freedom from the devil and his mother, she was able to find her freedom and some sanity when she killed her devil. She’s been reunited with her twin sister and her daughter. Now she needs to find purpose and a place in her sister’s life as well as a happiness. Adam might be the man to help her, but she has no idea if what she is feeling is real or not.

He's fought his demons and has found a family within the Death Hounds MC; his aunt and his cousin are special to him. Rose’s daughter is a special little girl and has stolen his heart, but so has her mother. He doesn’t feel as if he is good enough for Rose or that he is the right man for her, but his feelings overpower him, and he can’t deny that he wants a life with Rose. Adam, “Jackal”, will fight for the woman he loves and prove to her and himself that he is the man for her and Iris, her daughter.

This story was heartbreaking and beautiful. Rose is a strong woman that has had devastating childhood since she was twelve years old and adopted without her twin sister. Her life was not what Violet had pictured it as when she was left behind. Rose had to fight so hard to get free of The Community and the man that owned her. When she finally found her freedom, she thought she was okay, but then another predator found her and preyed on her. She left him behind, but he found her and now her life is in danger again, only this time, there is someone else in the crossfire too and they are loved as much as Rose is by the Death Hounds MC and they will stop at nothing to find their family and protect them. I loved Jackal and Rose’s story. There was some miscommunication to begin with, but when they decided to talk and get their feelings in the open things were great. I love the Death Hounds MC, they are a great family, they love hard, and they fight fiercely for their loved one. I’m enjoying meeting the Death Hounds and reading their stories and I can’t wait for more. I give this book a 5-star review.

Jackal is the continuation story in the Death Hounds MC series that H.J. Marshall has written. Another mind boggling story that leaves you completely torn to smithereens then slowly Put back together seeing the story evolve. Now… as in my previous reviews… Marshall puts real life scenarios into her stories, the kind that would make most ppl cringe thinking about the reality of it. But I appreciate her story writing and flow, because I can relate to them, go through my emotions, and be happy in the end, when the characters have what they were looking for. So fair warning… if there are ever any type of warnings given at the start of her books, take them as they are given.

Now, this is about Jackal and Rose. Jackal is part of the Death Hounds MC, a group of men that have come together and sometimes are more family than blood. They take care of each other and those they make part of their family. Rose is a very strong woman but has gone through some very life altering situations in life. Trying to keep herself above water and safe. There’s push and pull between them, but something is always going on in the background. Will they get their happily ever after? Or will things go south? There is only one way to find out! And that’s to give this book a chance and give it a read.

I highly recommend Jackal. But I do suggest to read the stories prior to this one, if you haven’t.

After reading Needles I really wanted to know more about Rose and her story. Then you have Adam "Jackal" and that cute little Iris, together they create a unique family. I loved this story and how Rose became stronger and was able to finally live for the first time. Adam has baggage of his own and with Rose and Iris he knows he doesn't want to let them go. When Rose's past comes knocking full of danger and evil, the struggle to keep together is a hard one. I love this MC family and how they are all so accepting and loving of each other. This story was a great one that kept me engrossed through the last page and wanting more.

This book hurt my heart. All the obstacles that Jackel and Rose face, makes them stronger but gosh the hurt it causes. This one has two very strong main characters and when you put Iris in the mix:: you couldn’t ask for a better read.

I finished reading this book a week ago. I am just now able to form the words to express how much I loved this book. Rose and Jackal's story is beautifully written. It's written in a way that you physically feel every feeling the characters deal with. Rose is the type of h that I love to read about. A woman who has every odd thrown at her, but kicks a$$ and over comes. She has trust issues, she's survived the worst of the worst, but hasn't lost that ability to love. Jackal is a strong alpha MC member who has a soft side that he lets Rose in on. Jackal is strong enough to know what Rose needs before she does. It was magical watching each character grow as well as their relationship.

When a line from a book sticks with you, that you randomly think about it in the day, you know you have read a book that touched a part of you deep down. Jackal is that book for me. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. This will be one of my top reads for 2022.

Jackal is the next installment in the DHMC series. Adam and Rose have both been through traumatic experiences in their lives. Rose has literally been through h*ll and back in her young life and she has become stronger in spite of it all. Rose and Adam are two damaged souls that fit together perfectly and you can’t forget Rose’s daughter Iris, she completes them. She is the sweetest kid. This might be my favorite couple yet. I was very engrossed in their story. It was full of emotion, intense at times, and such a beautiful story. Also if you like age-gap stories, this might be one for you. Just know if you have triggers, make sure you read the warning beforehand. I cannot wait for more DHMC!!

HOLY HELL!!! We finally get Rose's story. Her story is not for the faint of heart and you will definitely find your heart breaking. You will also find your heart mending with hers. When Jackal saves her stays with her to make sure she is safe. He proves to her what a real man is truly like. These two complete each other in ways neither of them thought possible. Throw in our darling little Rose and their little family feels complete.
I am trying to figure out what to put in this review without ruining the book. I am not going to lie I am at a loss because everything I want to write I feel may be a spoiler.....

Rose not only suffered a horrible childhood but also through adulthood until she escaped. Reuniting with her daughter and twin sister brought her hope for a future. Only if she could handle the weight of the demons that haunt her.
Adam felt an attraction to Rose the minute he laid eyes on her. He's wants to help her with the demons that haunt her.
"No matter what, I can handle your darkness, and if it gets too much, I’ll step inside with you and help you find the light. You’re precious to me, and I don’t ever want you to forget that."
Adam senses there is danger on the horizon. When Rose's past comes back to haunt her there is a slim chance that she won't make it out alive.

Jackal picks up with Rose's story. We got a bit about her in Needles, she's Violets twin sister and has a past that's enough to make the mama bear in me roar in fury. Rose has been to h*l^ and back in her short life. Jackal is completely taken with both her and her daughter Iris and will stop at nothing to get retribution for all that she suffered. This is a beautiful, intense, age gap story that's full of emotion. Like a Phoenix, Rose rises from the ashes that was her life and blossoms with Jackal.

Jackel & Rose + Iris

He rescued her and stayed with her to make her feel safe as well as to protect them. Both had feelings for the other but were afraid to admit it. Would they finally give in?

Was she safe to live a happy life? Or was there more danger in the offing? Could he protect her from anyone?

The story is filled with Death Hound brothers and their women, all who care strongly for Rose and Iris. Great characters, story, plenty of heat, it is a winner and one you won't be able to put down.

This is the fourth book in this incredible series, and this is Adam / Jackal and Rose’s journey. Both characters have traumatic pasts which they are trying to overcome. Jackal will do whatever he must to protect Rose and her little girl Iris. Jackal and Rose complement each other perfectly. This is a beautifully written story which is dark, raw, gritty, intense, and intriguing, with secrets, suspense, twists, family, healing, emotions, truths, and love, which leads to a riveting and addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Rose is back with her sister and daughter. At thirteen she was adopted and that when her hell started for her. She’s broken and half living till she meets jacke. Jackel is her sisters adopted cousin. Finally when things start to make sense. Her memories are more then she can handle. It’s up to jackel to show rose that their is love worth fighting for. The new family her sister found is breathtaking. They protect family like no other. Best one yet.

OMG! Heart pounding

Jackal was another favorite, but....I still love my Needles. I loved this book baby you got to see the strength of Rose and Violet and you really hot to see Jacob shine.

Rose was the best. Strong, brave and definitely incredible. It was great to see the MC embrace her and although Rose feared judgement, not o e person ever judged her. That is what family is all about.

Absolutely love this series and can't wait for more.

I really enjoyed this book. It was nice to see progression between Jackal and Rose. I couldn't put book down once started.

I loved Jackal and Rose together, they really suit each other. As they both give something to each other. Jackal is patient with Rose, and love his interactions with Iris. Rose gives Jackal peace.

I can't wait for more.

Suspenseful, action-packed, never a dull moment.

HJ Marshall has once again written a wonderful book about surviving the worst of humanity while holding onto hope.

Adam and Rose were the perfect mix of loyalty, resilience, passion, and love.

I adored Iris and the relationship she had with the MC members. That little girl was certainly a light in their dark world.

While we have seen glimpses of him throughout the series, I sure am looking forward to finding out what Jacob has in store for us, his story will, no doubt, knock my socks off—just like all of the previous books.

This is a FANFREAKINGTASTIC addition to the Death Hounds MC series by Author H.J. Marshall. Adam and Rose have both been through traumatic experiences in their lives. Rose has literally been through h*ll and back in her young life and she has become stronger in spite of it all. Adam felt an attraction to Rose the minute he laid eyes on her. He's wants to help her with the demons that haunt her.

Jackal and Rose are perfect together, they both have traumatic pasts and they just bring a peace to each other. Jackal will do whatever he has to do to protect Rose and her little girl. When Rose’s past comes back to haunt her will she let Jackal in enough to be able to protect her and her daughter?

Jackal and Rose both have had troubling pasts that makes your heart break for what they have been through. This book has everything I love in a book, romance, suspense, a protective hero, and a strong female. Look forward to more from this author.

This book hurt my heart. All the obstacles that Jackel and Rose face, makes them stronger but gosh the hurt it causes. This one has two very strong main characters and when you put Iris in the mix:: you couldn’t ask for a better read.

Good read

While some elements of this book were not things I like to read, the author's abilty to highlight the person's strength in bad situations caused me to keep reading and see the inevidable happy at the end.
