This book was boring, slow, drawn out and I thought many times I would not finish it. The story did not seem to come together until Chapter 93. For some reason I did finish it and I am glad of it.. in particular hearing from, the author helped me understand why the book was written in the fashion that it was. There was so much detail about minor actions, describing how and what Anna Fox drank, lifted a glass, her internal thoughts versus what she expressed on the outside to others, her agoraphobia. It was so slow but it was suspenseful. Finally as I completed the book I recognized the brilliance of this author, taking the time to build a story with great detail. Everything that seemed non essential at first, eventually played a part to the unexpected ending. This was truly an Alfred Hitchcock experience. We now know the complete story of Anna Fox,and we really now understand her character. Well done! I will probably read his next novel.
Al principio puede resultar algo lioso, pero pronto te engancha y coge ritmo la historia, el final es muy inesperado pero antes de llegar a ese final la trama se queda un poco estancada, como si ya no supieras qué pasa, algo vacío.
Very slow and confusing beginning. Took to about page 100 to get somewhat into the book. Ending was a twist but uneventful. Was a long read as I kept loosing interest.
Took a long time to get into it, a lot of repetitive unnecessary information. The ending had a very good and interesting twist. If it wasn’t for that I would have given it 2 stars
