This is the final book of The Conquest Series, a seven-book set of American history through Indian eyes. It tells the story of Moravian missions among the native Americans and is helpful to understand the settling of eastern America. Following are two important takeaways.
1. Greed for Indian land played a large part in America’s Revolutionary War. This may have been one of the primary reasons for the war.
2. Trying to spread your culture while trying to convert native people to Christianity is a bad idea. Today, we talk about the indigenous church. While I admire the Moravians for their sacrificial mission efforts, this book demonstrates what an indigenous church should not look like.
