Solid story, solid plot, solid romance and, even though it’s not finished yet, I know it’s based on a true story so I can tell it’s also gonna wreck me

Tek bir gecede okuyup gözlerime ağrıların girdiği ama asla pişmanlık çekmediğim ve devamını çıktığı gibi havada kaptığım bir seri. Karakterler arası dinamikler gerçekten çok etkileyici. Özellikle ana karakterler arası küçük laf dalaşları aşırı hoşuma gitmekle beraber benim ne zaman bundanım olacak diye yastığı kemirmemle sonuçlanan bir döngü içinde gelip gitmeme neden oldu. Hikayeye gelirsek zaten bu tarz dönem işleri genel olarak tarihten etkilenerek ortaya koyuluyor. Bu da onlardan biri geçmiş bir dönemi işleyen bu hikaye gerçek bir hikayeden temel alıyor. O yüzden bence benim yaptığım gibi wiki araştırması yapmaktansa hikayeyi kendi akışında okuyun. Ayrıca bunun bir dönem hikayesi olduğunu unutmamalısınız. Hikayeyi o dönemin şartlarına göre değerlendirip modern bakış açısıyla okumamak sizi hikayenin içine daha çok çeker. Bunlar dışında hikaye aşırı bilgi verici bazı insanlar çok hoşlanmayabilir ama ben böyle şeylere bayılıyorum. Bize sarayın işleyişini ve hizmetçilerin görev ve statülerini çok güzel bir şekilde açıklıyor. Aynı zamanda bazı noktalarda ciddi edebi noktalara kayıyor arada olayı anlamak için hafif araştırma yapmam gerekti olayı daha iyi anlamak için. Ama bu tamamen tercih meselesi hikayenin ana akışı üzerine o kadar da etki etmiyor. Elimi vicdanıma koyarak hikayeyi herkese öneriyorum. Zaten çizimlerin görünce vay canına diyip bırakamayacaksınız sadece bazı noktalarda sabırlı olmak gerekiyor.

This is a very wholesome and entertaining story. The political drama, moments of sisterhood (strong female friendships, gotta love that!), humor, and dash of romance has me hooked. And the artwork? SOLD!!!

The visuals of this webtoon is amazing, it is so beautiful that I sometimes stop reading just to enjoy the drawings.
It is delightful to read this webtoon which is as good as the excellent and beloved K-Drama.
Deok-im is a strong young girl and it's fascinating to see how she is unafraid of the crown Prince and the sneaky Hong.

This story was heartbreakingly beautiful and so very sad! As much as I cheered for the King and his court lady to find their way to each other, I also couldn't help but wonder if maybe her life would have been better (and definitely longer) if they had never met.
