The explanation is clear. I am not a beginner in crochet and as English is my second language I wanted to learn to read or how to understand pattern in another language. But I could use some more photo's, this was already a challenge for me. But it is a good book and I have learned new things from it.
I'm a huge fan of photos. This books has a lot of info but without the photos a beginner can get lost in the details. Not to mention a picture of the finished item gives you an idea of what e finished item looks like.
The explanations were clear – until I realized how ignorant I am about knots and stiches. Which is okay, as I am beginning to learn ABOUT crocheting. The two pattern diagrams for the cardigans were helpful and I enjoyed learning a little bit of history.
Exactly what I said in the title… This Book is full of directions, however there are no pictures or examples to go with it. When you’re doing a new skill Pictures/examples Are things that really helps!
