He was created to do their dirty work. Now, he'll exact his revenge through one of their own... if he can resist her.
Humans made me, enslaved me, and ordered me to do unspeakable things. Years later, the cries of my victims still haunt me. How will I ever forgive myself? Even if I can't, I have vowed that those responsible will pay.
When the daughter of Cybertek's CEO conveniently falls into my lap, I know what I must do. Through her, I will have my vengeance.
But my boiling rage gives way to something I never expected. Her laugh, her intoxicating scent, and her beauty have me conflicted. Suddenly, I need her as intensely as I need my revenge.
Although she is human, a woman I should despise above all others, could she be the antidote to my bitterness? Is it possible to find healing and the peace I've always longed for, in her arms?

Broken is the first book I've read by Maddie Taylor and I did enjoy it. The plot line description definitely drew me in, but I did find that it was really hard to get into at first. It seemed to drag just a bit, but I wanted to know how it ended. I really liked Everly and Rage and I really liked them together. They had great chemistry and their frustrations at getting together provided some laugh out loud moments. The story is told in 3rd person from multiple perspectives and I found the inclusion of smexy times from the characters from previous books to be a bit odd. Or at least not something that I would have expected. Overall, it was entertaining, but I'm not sure if I'm going to be reading any more, just based on the how much it slowed down in spots.
Broken brings Taylor and Williams’s ongoing series back to Earth when a group of cyborgs is inadvertently trapped there with a human group called Sanctuary that has been working to free the recently discovered female cyborgs. Everly is the leader of Sanctuary, and I loved that her connection with Rage slowly grew over the course of Broken—there’s no insta-love here. Rage is a complex character, dealing with repressed anger and shame from his days as a prisoner/slave of a maniacal experimental doctor. Everly has her own issues as the daughter of the cyborg’s creator and chief antagonist.
So it was great to see how these two moved from interest to flirting to lust to love. Taylor and Williams continue to build complexity into the story of the cyborg revolt—escaping their entrapped state doesn’t necessarily mean full freedom for the cyborgs. Seeing how Taylor and Williams work in characters from previous books so readers see how the elements of the overarching story continue on brought added richness to Broken.
Towards the end, as Rage and Everly succumb to their mutual attraction, there were elements of light domestic discipline that were jarring to me—they sort of came out of nowhere and frankly didn’t really add anything to the story. This is one of those cases where less would have been more.
But I loved the expansion of challenges that the cyborgs continue to face in Taylor and William’s world, and I’m looking forward to seeing what future books bring!
Action-packed romantic suspense. This 3rd book in the series continues the storyline with a special ops team of cyborgs on Earth to search for the female cyborgs sold on the black market as pleasure slaves.
Everly is the coordinator of Sanctuary an activist group with a mission to rescue female cyborgs. She is mistakenly taken by Rage and his team and transported to their ship orbiting Earth. I loved how Everly never cowered or passed up the opportunity to get her opinion shared when facing off with Rage.
A temporary truce is struck up with the goal of teaming up to rescue more female cyborgs. Sassy, snarky, steamy and non-stop action commences with Everly and Rage paired up and competing for control of their operation.
While these two sizzle, they also forgo a deep emotional connection. I loved the banter Everly exchanges with Arc, Ruthless and Surge - over the course of their mission they become like siblings and continually banter and defend each other.
The main characters from the first two books Shayla/Free and Kristyn/Ransom appear and in this third book and we learn how their relationships are progressing.
It appears this series concludes with the 3rd book, but the m hoping the author will give us more books in this series. I’d love to see more of the female cyborgs rescued and more new relationships with some of the cyborgs who are ready for love - Arc, Ruthless and Surge. The establishment of their new planet and the arrival of the next generation would be exciting to read.
I received a free ARC from the author and Elle Woods PR; and I am voluntarily leaving an unbiased review.
Captain Rage kidnapped Everly trying to get to her father, Sydney Moondrake. He created cyborgs, built them long after the ban and continues to sell them. Everly grew up in her father's house be he never accepted her as his daughter. She has worked for 3 years for Sanctuary, locating and rescuing female cyborgs, who have been abused, starved and some even kept in cages. Everly, Rage, and three other cyborgs work together to find and rescue the females. And the chemistry between Rage and Everly is through the roof. Maddie and Morganna have written an amazing addition to this series. Their character development and world building took me into the heart of their story. I experienced the danger, humor, intrigue, betrayal, new friendships, lies, moles, joy in finding a new world to settle on, new life where it was thought impossible and new love. I do hope the other three cyborgs, Arc, Surge, and Ruthless, find their mates too.

A simply wonderful read, great characters and a wonderful scenario
I loved everything about this wonderful book kit was a simply wonderful read and I guarantee that like me once you begin reading this story you will find it impossible to put down until you reach the end.
I found the two characters in this story to be simply wonderfully written the way their story pulls at your heart and makes you think will ensure that this is a story you will read more than only once.
As always, the two authors have written a simply wonderful story that you will love, you will be blown away and will recommend it to other readers if you are like me you will be left looking forward to future books in this series.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read. I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

The story continues with book three of the series. This one takes place mostly on earth with a new couple.
I enjoyed their interaction and also the relationship Everly had with the other members of the team. It made me laugh at several point. There is more background about what happened and the scope of the operation.
There is a lot gong on in this book and their story isn’t finished. I did feel the story sometimes dragged a bit or scenes were repetitieve.
Part 3 finds Everly and Rage working together to save female cyborg slaves. Despite the political topic, rescues, and twists and turns, it is funny, tongue-in-check, satirical and intellectually witty. The characters are delightful. I am not typically a cyborg reader and hate cliffhanger/series that run together I truly enjoyed this book. Make sure to read parts 1 and 2 first.
Another great cyborg read!! I am loving this series so far! Rage and Everly have chemistry from the start and an almost enemies to lovers feel. As the story progresses you learn why Rage picked that name and his story could have some triggers for some. This needs to be read as part of the series imo as there are parts that continue throughout for the while story. This story is unique, steamy, and full of action. Can't wait for the next!!
I liked this well written and well described story. I enjoyed the interaction between the characters. I loved the strong and sweet Everly and hard soft Rage. They fit each other so well. There are so many different elements to this fast paced full and interesting story. The two authors have a great collaboration writing full, hot and sexy stories. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book and I recommend it. Please don't tell me that this series is over.
I thought this book was a real heartstring tugger. Rich angst, deep emotion, powerful feels and intense inner turmoil combine into a potent brew that hits hard and has you consumed by the story. Honestly, my heart ached for both of these characters. Another exciting entry for this great series. I am independently posting an impartial review.
This is the latest story in the Cyborg Liberation series and while this is a standalone, with it's own HEA, there is a continuing story arc and understanding of the story would be better if you're at least familiar with book 2 (Salvation). I continue to really enjoy this series and liked reading the progression of the relationship between Rage and Everly from hatred through to love. It was also wonderful to have interaction from the other cyborgs on the team as they often contributed some great light-hearted moments. Normally by book 3 in a series, particularly sci-fi, the stories start to become a bit same-same, but this series continues to be fresh and enjoyable.
Although this is a great ending to this series, I am sad at the same time. Rage selected his name for what he felt inside at the hands of evil humans. Everly, as the daughter of the creator of the cyborgs, fights for the rights of those female pleasure cyborg slaves by freeing them. Sparks fly between Everly and Rage as they work together to free those female cyborgs. Then, as the worst happens when the sanctuary is compromised, they find trust and love with each other and their mission continues.
Everly isn't about to let anyone push her around. Not her evil father, and definitely not a bossy cyborg captain named Rage. She is going to do what she can to keep saving trafficked cyborg women and getting them to freedom.
I really respect her for sticking to her convictions and putting herself right out there to do what she thinks is right.
Beautiful emotional romantic conclusion to this series, with falling in love, continually fighting to survive, and finding more answers they need. My only wish is for a fourth book to complete their happiness and explore their new world. Thank you for sharing this awesome series❤❤❤
Thought this ended rather abruptly & with many things unresolved. Is there another book coming? Everly was a pain - a know-it-all who wanted to be in charge, even tho she didn't have the experience, knowledge or strength for most of the operations. She kept making foolish choices & trusting the wrong people. Just shut up & stay in the car.
The HEA is complete but the overlapping plot continues. Enjoyed the group of Cyborgs and assume they’ll get their stories. Felt connected to all the characters and want to continue on with them on their journies.
I liked Everly. She is fierce and friendly, challenging and compassionate. Her goal to rescue the imprisoned cyborgs, despite her being a "frail" human, only shows the strength of the heart
