It's NOT In Your Head: Your Body Doesn’t Feel Right But You Don’t Know Why

“If you’re one of the lucky few who wakes up feeling great every day, this book is not for you.”

If you picked up this book, you’re likely one of the many people who just doesn’t “feel right.” You may have joint pain, stomach issues, brain fog, or immune issues. You may be on some medications that you wish you didn’t need. Overall, things just “feel off” but you can’t seem to get the answers you need to get you back to feeling great.

Maybe your doctors keep telling you that “you’re fine” or some variation of “you’re just stressed,” “you’re just getting older,” “if you lose weight, you’ll feel better,” “it just your hormones” or … maybe they are even implying that … “It’s all in your head!”

Sound familiar?

As a nurse practitioner and primary care provider, Dr. Efrat LaMandre has met many patients who come to her from all over the country with some form of “I-don’t-feel-good-it is.”

A very personal experience led Dr. E to discover a different way to look at the health issues her patients were experiencing. This motivated her to get her Ph.D. in Integrative Medicine and invent “The Knew Method, ” which empowers people to realize that their symptoms are not in their head.

In this book, Dr. E provides the framework to figure out what is going on in your body and how to start making changes that will get you feeling like your “old self” again.

Note that this book offers no quick fixes or magic potions, but if you are ready and willing to make some real changes, you are in the right place. Reading this book and following the protocols it lays out will give you the right questions to start asking and the steps you can take to start feeling great.

You have this book in your hand because you always KNEW there was a better way.

Dr. Efrat LaMandre is a nurse practitioner, author, and national speaker whose work focuses on medical gaslighting, patient dismissal, and the limits of how modern healthcare is designed to listen.

She is the host of The Medical Disruptor podcast, where she brings together clinicians, researchers, and public health leaders to examine how medical training, system design, and clinical culture shape patient experiences. Her work translates complex medical systems into practical ways patients and clinicians can navigate care more effectively without abandoning science or blaming providers.

Dr. E is also a practicing clinician and the founder of EG Healthcare, a nurse practitioner–led primary care organization. Across her clinical work, education, and media presence, she focuses on the gap between lived symptoms and diagnosable disease, and on why early signals are so often missed, minimized, or dismissed.

She lives with her wife, is the mother of three adult(ish) children, and shares her home with a rotating cast of rescued cats.

Want to know how to heal your body? This is the book! Reading this book confirmed what I already knew and have been working on.

Provides solid information on the stuff YOU can do to heal and reverse the state your body is in. It didn't happen overnight and it will not take overnight to fix it.

A good introduction

This book is written in a way that is easy to understand. It provides enough for a basic surface understanding.
