June July August

THE At an all-girls’ summer camp in the Middle of Nowhere, Upstate New York, a group of teenage junior counselors spend three life-changing months together as they navigate the complexities of womanhood, social hierarchies, and the irreversible consequences of their actions when things get gravely out of hand. JUNE JULY AUGUST is an unflinching exploration of what it means to be a woman on the brink of adulthood and the bonds that are forged in the process.

Really well written. Such a large ensemble of female characters and the playwright does a great job of focusing on each and every one and giving them a backstory. The plot was really good and unexpected at times.

Characterized but fun but I stopped going to summer camp when I was 15 so I never did this.

I wish there was a version that could be directed at a high school, the language is just a little too much even though it a realistic for the most part.
