The Third Beast
The year is 1969, and Sister June has been sent on her first mission for the First Order. A mysterious corpse has washed up on a Cornish beach, and the local doctor's initial examination suggests that it's not entirely human...
Once she begins her investigation, June discovers that this case might be linked to one that occurred several decades earlier. Many locals believe that something unnatural is living in the bay near their village, with some even suggesting that these creatures might be linked to an infamous pirate ship that sank in the area many hundreds of years ago.
June soon finds herself trapped in a nightmarish battle. Something ancient is after revenge, and an equally powerful force is determined to resist. Soon the entire village is in peril as a terrible storm hits the area and the dangers of the sea make their way onto land.

Another intriguing story in this series, which sees Sister June investigating strange events in a village by the sea.
It's mysterious and sad and horrific in places. There's a great sense of place and the characters suit the plot. Will lessons ever be learned, however?

Sister June off on another world of chaos and terror.
I enjoyed the book. Sister June is still the stoic, determined nun, who has found herself in another strange venture for The Order
