Sometimes murders jump right off the pages of a book.
Rylie is back in Prairie City and trying to find her new normal.
With her best friend busy with wedding planning in a different country and her love life in a precarious position, she's been avoiding the world by losing herself in mystery novels.
But when she gets a call about four seemingly unrelated murders, Rylie sees the connection instantly.
Back in the game, Rylie and her friends have to work together to solve murder mysteries straight from the pages of a book before someone else meets an untimely death.
The ninth book in the Rylie Cooper Mystery Series will have you on the edge of your seat turning pages well into the night.
Stella Bixby is a native Coloradan who loves to snowboard, pluck at the guitar, and play board games with her family. She was once a volunteer firefighter and a park ranger, but now spends most of her time making up stories and trying to figure out what to cook for dinner.
As a mystery lover who wants to read, rather than watch, mysteries unfold, I was stunned at the newest Rylie Cooper book. It was Rylie 2.0, and she was back better than ever! Sure it might seem she was avoiding life and staying up late to read mysteries and eat snacks, but I prefer to think of it as honing her special skills. Because you will soon discover as you immerse yourself in this Rylie post Garrett, Shayla, and Luke story, that she's back and better than ever!
I loved the way the author included social media and apps into Rylie's funk that was primarily being satisfied by reading physical books. It was the best of both worlds! I admired the determination of Rylie to follow through with her personal resolutions. A fantastic, nail-biting mystery, a 6 day plan from an app to turn her life around, and a shocking revelation causing her to return to her Park Ranger job.
Great characters, amazing plot, and vivid imagery combine to treat the reader to another fantastic Rylie Cooper adventure. It was non-stop excitement and fun!
Rylie finally decides to go back to the Park Ranger service after being left at the alter and also having her best friend move to Ireland (Hopefully another series here?). There have been 5 murders so far, and the Park Service needs Rylie's help. Rylie notices similarities due to her activities while taking a leave of absence.
Pro's: A good story with developed characters and a solid plot line. I enjoy the writing style in this series and the interactions of the characters. Mostly.
Con's: I really hate romantic triangles, each book tends to end with one. Rylie needs to make up her mind. Okay, I get it she was engaged and the wedding fell through. The author needs to make Rylie's long time crush a permanent thing or remove him from the story. It's getting old.
I'd like to thank the author for the oportunity to read an Advanced Readers Copy of this story.
Rylie Cooper is back and this time her best friend has moved to another country, her love life sucks, and she still hasn’t decided if she wants to return to work as a park ranger. As she battles this downward spiral of her life, she immerses herself into the fiction world of mysteries.
I have always enjoyed Rylie as a fictional character as well as most of the characters the author has created for this series. I am enjoying the flirtation between Rylie and Antonio. The plot was engaging with a clever mystery that connected all the murders together. Add a bit of romance and humorous moments and it all climaxed into an exhilarating story. The ending was unexpected and has left this reader wanting the next book, NOW!

It’s been a while since I’ve been in Riley’s world, but boy am I glad I didn’t forget about this series.
Riley is trying to get out of her post-almost-wedding funk. There’s just so much to love about this. Her resilience. Her determination. The book theme murders. A budding romance. An awesome female friendship. The twists and turns. It was such a ride. The murder and Riley coming back into her own were perfectly balanced. I loved all of it.
I love this series. Rylie is such a great character. I started in the middle of this series and then decided to start from the beginning because the books just draw you in. Booked was another great installment and as always keeps you on the edge of your seat. Looking forward to the next installment in the series. Totally recommend this book.
The author provided me with an ARC for my honest opinion.
Great book. Excitement and perils in boatloads! I think this one of the best of the series. You had an inkling of what was happening, but weren’t quite sure until the end. And Rylie needs a break with boyfriends! ‘Nough said. Can’t wait for the next one!
Another fascinating installment of the Rylie Cooper series! The author does a great job getting a good balance in the story especially when it comes to the characters. This book is best when read in order in the series with slight language and innuendo.
This series keeps getting better! Rylie is contemplating big changes and a friend reaches out for help. Lots of twists and turns and excitement. But, is Rylie too late? Great series! Stella Bixby does it again! Highly recommended
Love this series. Coming back from being left at the alter Rumor seeks change in her life. Karma or life has a different idea from hers. Enjoy the unexpected and humor packed in this book. Series is Best if read in order but it can be a stand alone.
Riley finally acknowledges she can't stay hidden in her apartment. She is pulled back into action when the park rangers have four deaths on their hands. Only to discover lack of acknowledgement led to more grief than was ever necessary.
I really enjoyed reading another Rylie story. I love all of Stella’s books. I couldn’t put it down and read it in 2 days. Lots of adventure. On to her next. Highly Recommend!
Who is killing all those people and why??? Fame and glory??? Rylie will figure things out though, won't she??? I enjoyed this story and recommended the book.
Rylie it’s pretty down in the dumps after everything that’s happened. Fortunately, the rangers won’t let her stay that way and pull her into a case. This is another page turning installment that I pretty much read in one sitting!! I’m happy Rylie is getting her mojo back and #TeamAntonio!!
Rylie has some free time on her hands so she starts reading mystery novels but then the cases start happening in real life! No fear Rylie is on the case!! Another great addition to the series.
