Thea (Patrizia Norelli-Bachelet) wrote the third volume of The New Way in its entirety in November, 1983, as a result of her own lived experience; she dedicates it to ‘those who wish to assist at the birth of a new world’. She demonstrates how a bridge is constructed between the individual and society, so that simultaneously both are transformed.Top of FormBottom of FormThe Descent of the Supramental consciousness is a fourfold process, arranged in such a manner that each member of Sri Aurobindo’s Solar Line has a particular task which Thea indicates by number power (9/6/3/01). She refers to Sri Aurobindo by the number power of 9, the Transcendent Divine, or the Father Principle. His yoga is centered around the Supramental manifestation, it is based on a vision of wholeness and unity. But the vision of a divine life on earth is not enough - It cannot be an end in itself. It must be ‘brought into the Earth sphere and be the propelling conscious power of our actions in the world’. It was not destined that Sri Aurobindo undertake this yogic work alone; to reverse the direction that all spiritual paths had taken the last two thousand years, Sri Aurobindo needed the help or the ‘shakti’ provided by the Mother (the Cosmic Divine, the 6), the Mother Principle and Thea, (the Individual Divine, the 3 or the Daughter principle). Volume 3 of The New Way is a celebration of the ‘great mystery of the Trinity’: the birth of the last member – the Fourth, (the 0, the ‘womb’), the Male-Child of many mythic traditions, which survives across the ages in the deep recesses of the soul.‘If you only knew the magnificence of the 3, 6 and 9, then you would have a key to the universe.’Nikola Tesla (1856-1943)
