The wrong way to act as a villain no. 1: Get rid of the protagonist while he still hasn't become powerful.
The wrong way to act as a villain no. 2: Take the limelight from the protagonist at a key moment.
The wrong way to act as a villain no. 3: Make the protagonist fall in love with you, thus making him incapable of completing the final step, eliminating the major villain.
Han Chnagshen, Head of the Demonic Cult, is a major villain who has employed all three incorrect methods.
No matter how much I love Han Changsheng, I have to face that the ending is kinda bad and not even rushed, it was almost skipped over. An Yuan barely has a personality beside being righteous, the people from the cult were barely important till the end and the people outside the cult were forgotten all together once they weren't useful. The plot dumping cat that just explained everything around chapter 80, it just went puff after the Wulin thing; and the main villain in the story, aside from not appearing much in the novel, we don't even know if he died, was just caught by the righteous side, qi deviated or what?
