David Thorne is an Australian humourist, satirist, Internet personality and New York Times best-selling author. His work has been featured on the BBC, The Late Show with David Letterman, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and Late Night with Conan O'Brien. Thorne gained public recognition in late 2008 for an email exchange in which he attempts to pay an overdue bill with a drawing of a seven-legged spider. The exchange spread virally via email and social networking sites, leading to a surge of visitors to his website 27b/6 (27bslash6). 27b/6 features a collection of humorous emails and articles from Thorne's life. These and additional essays appear in Thorne's book, The Internet is a Playground. Published by Penguin Group and released on 28 April 2011, the book debuted at number four on The New York Times Best Seller list.

I love this guy. And I'm sure he'll appreciate that, now that I've finished it with a minimal amount of food stains on a handful of pages, it's going in my guest bathroom for people to read while they poop in my bathroom. It will help me know who actually poops in my bathroom if I can hear snickering coming from down the hall.

Being a fan of David Thorne for years means that much of this book was more like reminding myself of half forgotten posts of his from years back. But it’s delightful to have them all gathered into one compendiums

The only downside being that the printed text is really rather small. And the paper a little cheap. However the content is still hysterically funny, and although a couple of the email exchanges get a little samey and the office banter is never as funny as it presumably is to those involved it’s a fun book and I’d recommend anyone visit cubical 27b/6 if you haven’t already.

Definitely one for the completionist fanbase, probably not one for the newcomers.

The overall quality of this collection is pretty good, but as advertised, this is a collection of all of the emails featured in previous books and on the site, so if you've been reading David's books for a while, chances are there's nothing new here.

Then again, if you missed any previous limited prints or are just really into his emails, then this will be an absolute treat for you.

I like the name of this one too

Very uplifting.

I’m fairly certain that these are the exact emails that are currently on his site but it was so good to read them again! Book was so good that my dog even read the cover and declared it his while I was away at dinner. It’s now a little less fat but still an awesome book.

At no point will I get sick of these email exchanges and his stories/writing.

You either like David Thorne’s writing, or you don’t. I do, and will happily buy any humour book he chooses to print.

As described its all of the emails from the website, which is pretty funny stuff.
I do have one complaint though. I expected the book to be bigger.
I don't mean more content, but the blurb on the front made me think it was going to be like 1/3 bigger.
If I would ever get the opportunity to say one thing to Mr. Thorne it would be request he change the font in this book to size 72.
