Another good book in this series! I enjoyed reading about Sam and Stephanie falling in love. Sam giving in to his want for Stephanie was such a treat to read. This was a quick and sexy addition to the series.

When Sam allowed his childhood friend’s daughter to stay at his house, he had no idea that she would rock his world. Greg’s daughter is stunning, smart, sweet and curvy. Stephanie assumes Sam is avoiding her because she’s not his type but nothing could be further from the truth. Can he control himself around her or will he be surrender to the need to claim the younger woman who is out of his league? This older man/younger woman romance is short, with heat, good world building details and a colorful cast of supporting characters. Sam says all the right things and I like the way he demonstrates his desire to take care of Stephanie in every way. They realistically realize that her father may have an issue with their union and that conflict is handled well. This is a very entertaining story with a “seize the moment” feel - when you know, you know!

When Sam is asked, by a childhood friend, to take in his daughter, in he is reluctant, but he agrees. Greg asks, him because he is on business, in Ireland.
And, due to an emergency, in her apartment complex. A minor issue of, having a carbon monoxide poisoning leak. She has nowhere, to go, but since Sam and Greg, are friends, a natural fit. Stephanie now happens, to live in, Chicago, and he is now, batter up.
But he never expected, Stephanie to be so, absolutely gorgeous. She is everything, he never knew he was missing. He had never wanted to feel this way. Only one-offs, for him. He had planned to be the last in his line.
Stephanie made him think of a future and made him feel. Most of all, when he laughs it is not like, the court jester in him. See how these two, are hit hard when they are caught pleasuring themselves.

After reading the first novella in this series I had to move on to this book the same day. I love a good forbidden romance and what is more forbidden than the daughter of your childhood friend. Just like the first novella I loved watching Sam and Stephanie try to fight what we all knew would come. The small number of pages is packed with a good plot and great spice.

Greg is Sam's good friend, he has had a broken relationship with is daughter and now she is in his life, he is very protective. Not wanting Stephanie to be on her own, he arranges for her to stay with his good friend and perpetual playboy Sam.
Sam is instantly attracted to Steph and she makes things hard (pub intended) by walking around in skimpy bikinis.
They grown closer over the short time they are together and embark on a relationship. When Greg finds out, will they be able to stay together or is reality too much. Definitely worth a read to find out.

I could not put this novella down. Wow the chemistry between these characters was sizzling. Sam is this older daddy who as a friend to Stephanie's father has offered his home to her due her apartment having issues. This close proximity of course has made Sam very aware of how much his childhood friend's daughter has grown and just how attractive she has gotten. Both Stephanie and Sam are very much attracted but Stephanie is worried about her father's reaction. The couple faces their challenges but in the end they overcome it and have their HEA.

His to Hold is hot fast tale that will have you melting in your seat. Sam receives a call from his friend, he needs Sam to check on his daughter. Stephanie is out of her apartment, due to a gas leak. only when persuaded does she accept Sam's help.
Sam and Stephanie's chemistry is electric, the pull between them is strong and the passion is hot. Sam, who is known to be a playboy, realizes that he has only been waiting on Stephanie.

I really enjoyed this second book of the Chicago Steam series. Genni wrote another well-written hot story that I was able to read in less than an hour. -Brier

Stephanie is new to the city and has a job with a nonprofit agency. And is 18 years younger than Sam.

An age gap romance of falling for your friends daughter. This was a slow burn with electric chemistry between Sam and Stephanie, where they took the time to get to know one another. Now can they really make a go of this relationship and how well will her father react, enjoy this short story romance.

Another super quick, super short book that easy cute and easy to stay up too late reading (because you have a toddler who woke up and won't go back to sleep without you rocking her for an hour and then you both fall asleep in the rocking chair.) I liked Sam and Stephanie. This one started right away and never let up!

sweet and quick
Sam and Stephanie have an age gap and though Stephanie is Sam’s friend’s daughter nothing stops their attraction. They get closer and closer quickly and want to start a family soon but they need to tell Greg Stephanie’s father and Sam’s friend. I’m not sure it will go to well but one thing is for sure. They want each other forever.
