Roughly 30 min SE of Nashville, two bodies have been found in a small-town alleyway near the Davidson/Rutherford County line. The victims were identified as recently missing persons, and both of them were missing an arm and a leg.
Another young woman has gone missing, and the local sheriff is freaking out because that makes three disappearances in the last two weeks under his jurisdiction.
Could there be more abductions on the way? The team heads south, but the trail they find may lead them right back home.

Available on kindle unlimited! I enjoyed this second book in the series even more than the first. Another short, quick mystery read. I’m liking how the characters are developing and the way that the story is told is very interesting. Different from many mystery books.
I do love a Mary Stone book but not finding Stella Knox series that great. It got better towards the last half of the book. It was an enjoyable book just not as great and enjoyable as the other series.
I was given an advance copy by the author but the review is entirely my own.
KILLER STYLE is the second installment to the Stella Knox Series by Mary Stone and Stacy O’Hare. This FBI scenario set in Tennessee is another page turner that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Once you start reading, make sure you have plenty of time to get lost in this killer thriller.
Stella Knox is the probie in the Tennessee FBI office and still getting to know her team when they get a call about a missing woman. It's not long before there are bodies being dropped. With no connection between the victims and no clues to who the killer might be it doesn't look good for their investigation or the victims. Will Stella and her team find the missing woman before it’s too late? Will they find and stop the killer before there are more victims?
Once the case is some how closed, Stella begins planning for some time off when the team gets called out on their next case.
I highly recommend it to all lovers of murder mystery/thrillers and I look forward to the next story in the series.
I did receive an advance readers copy of this book from the author and this is my honest and freely given review.
In Killer Style by Mary Stone, Stella Knox teams up with her law enforcement cohorts to solve a series of murders that don't seem to have an pattern. Old and young, black and white, male and female all seem to be "up for grabs". Stella has a theory though and follows her instincts to find a killer who lurks on the edge of the art community. Little bits and pieces finally add up. A compelling story with great characters and plots that unfold at a steady pace. I received this novel as an ARC. All thoughts are my own.
Here we are following FBI agents Stella, Chloe, Hagen, and Ander on yet another wild and disturbing case. This story compared to the last blew me away. The mixed feelings of sadness and anger towards the grieving artist were hard to sort through. On one hand, you feel sorry for the old man who has lost his wife of 25 years... but on the other who can look past his disturbing display of grief in the shape of a rotting, corpse-filled peace sign? This quote by Stella is a perfect way to summarize this book...
"Peace and Love. Delivered in a package of murder and mutilation."

Great read a real page turner, lot a twists and turns. it was hard to A down at times. . The aurhor is a great story teller, has a way with words and paints a picture so well you think your write there living with them. It had an amazing number twist and turns that I just didn't see coming, it was frustrating at times , but it had a some what satisfying ending. . I really kept looking forward to the next reading section of it.. Looking forward to the continuation in the next book.
Killer Style by Mary Stone and Stacy O'Hare is the second book in the series about Stella Knox. Stella is an FBI agent who also is searching for her father's murderer. Her father was a law officer who was murdered in the line of duty, or was he? Who is Uncle Joel. On this case Stella and her fellow FBI agents are looking for a young lady named Kati? As they investigate the find more bodies. Are they connected? Art is not what it seems! Highly recommend!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Well this killer's style, murder and mutilation isn't as beautiful as he thinks. In this outstanding new book in the Stella Knox series, Stella, Chloe, Hagen, Ander and Slade have a new case full of missing people. It morphs into much more than that. Can they reach the hopefully still alive girl before she dies ? Another race to figure out who the maniac is, but it's definitely a thrill ride to the end.
Killer Style is a thrilling read! Mary Stone and Stacy O’Hare have created a story that is terrifying and mysterious. For Stella Knox and her FBI teammates bodies are turning up missing arms, legs, fingers and always placed with Shasta daisies. From the first page of this book I knew I was reading a winner. Mary Stone books always have a good and creepy element about them. Killer Style is no different! And the cliff hanger…
Mary Stone never disappoints. Writing with Stacy O'Hare, Mary has created another not to be put down book. I don't know a time that I have read one of Mary's books and not felt sad when I was done with.the book. Not sad because of the book but sad I had to wait for the new book in the series. If you love mystery, murder and intrigue you will enjoy this book and series. In fact any book or series of Mary Stone 's you will enjoy every word.
I received this book as an ARC from the Author for an honest review.
This is an ARC by Mary Stone and her co author. Stella Knox is settling into her role with the FBI team in Nashville, Tennessee, and now they have a new case. People are being murdered and nothing adds up. Can Stella and her team figure out what is going on before another person dies. Also can Stella get any more information on the death of her father. This is another great read as is usual with Mary Stone. I can't wait for the next installment.
Another good read, and an interesting series, looking forward to book three. Stella Knox FBI agent not only does an excellent job, but she is also searching for who murdered her dad. The team is quite small but all have good character's to portray. Not only is the story line well put together, but it is the mystery of each character in the team that keeps things going. Once again Mary Stone has come up with a brilliant new series.
A solid book. The beginning was a bit slow for me with balancing the underlying missions and secrets with the current case. The second half of the book was much more action oriented and full of crime solving and character development. The ending was tense and built up a great cliffhanger between some characters. This is a good series and I like the characters. I hope for more of the background reason/case solving in the next book!
One of the most unique plots I have read to date. An elderly artist driven to insanity through the grief of his wife's murder, commits murder and dismemberment to bring forth his artisti5vision for world peace? I couldn't begin to conceive a book plot such as that. Probably why I am not a published writer. Well done, Mary and Stacy. Thank you for another excellent story. P.S. Give the rookie a break! Y'all are gonna burn her out, mentally and physically.
The first book in this series was awesome, and I'm happy to say book #2 definitely did not disappoint. The suspense built throughout the book leaving you teetering on the edge of your seat. Worthy of 5/5* for sure. Every time I'd put it down to take a break, all I could think about was, "what's gonna happen next?..." I hurried through whatever I needed to do so I could get back to reading ASAP! Looking forward to#3...
Did not finish. This was too much like the first book. Some demented killer executing, hacking, and dismembering, innocent people. Same kind of families, witnesses, interviews—even the same kinds of dumpsters used by the killer! Same kind of sheriff. Just like Margaret Atwood has a proclivity toward sexual sadism in her books, Mary Stone evidently has a proclivity towards mentally ill sadistic murderers in hers. Sorry, for me, it’s just too much.
Stella Knox is back with her FBI team in Tennessee. The rookie on the team, Stella is sharp and driven and quickly earning the trust and support of her senior agents. She and Hagan are linked by tragic pasts involving each of their fathers. If Stella can survive this assignment, Hagan might just include her on his hunt for justice.
I love this book, and all the characters and I feel like I'm right there with Stella. This is the second book in this series by Mary Stone and Stacy O'Hare, there is lots of action and suspense and I can hardly wait for the next book. I received an early release and the opinion here is in my own words.
Book 2 in the Sella Knox series is a page turner. The plot is intriguing and exciting. Stella, in her spare time, is still investigating the death of her father. Unbeknownst to her, one of her fellow investigators is after the same killer. There seems be a spark of romantic interest between them, as well. So, I wonder where that will lead. This book is full of suspense and it’s a must-read, for sure. *this was a complimentary copy and this is my honest review*
Killer Style (Stella Knox FBI Mystery Series Book 2) By Mary Stone. Absolutely Loved It! This book left me speechless.. A sweet Elderly man kills everyone with kindness, to dismember individuals and create art … Stella and Hagen have so much in common, yet duty calls . I can’t wait for the next book… I recommend this series….
Finally a great crime novel not in the North or Midwest. We Nashville folks don't want more crime, but it's fun for a novel to be based in a great city of the MidSouth. Stella, Chloe, Hagan and the other agents are trying to find and stop a murderer who is leaving his victims with limbs missing all around the region. Will they find him?
Wow, just Wow! Loved this book. Reminded me why Mary Stone is one of my favorite authors now! She can weave a plot like nobody else! Serial killers don’t stand a chance with this main character but the journey from start to finish will keep you spellbound. Be careful who you see as harmless, it might get you turned into a madman’s piece of art!
Stell, Hagen and the FBI team is looking for a very disturbed killer. The main problem is the victims don't have anything in common other than the town they live in, and some white flowers left with or around the bodies. This is going to be a tough case to solve, but there is a life hanging in the balance begging to be found before it's too late. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Interesting story. As I was reading I tried to picture what the individual was working on that he killed different people and unique body parts. What was seen as a normal, friendly and older individual turned out to be an extremely crazy individual. Of course they caught him but only after he had killed four people.
The Stella Knox series is definitely not the best series I’ve ever read but the stories are entertaining enough for me to want to keep reading them. I think i’ll finish the series because they’re easy to read and interesting plot lines for each book but definitely the best, most well-rounded crime/thriller books but they do the trick!!
Killer Style is the 2 book in the Stella Knox FBI series, as I found with the first book in the series this series has not caught my attention like previous series by this author has. Not sure why I am just not connecting with the main character in this book. Having said that I will still recommend it to others, because I realize not everyone enjoys the same books.
Mary Stone has written a series of books about a former police officer turned FBI agent as the main character. Her and her fellow agents are working some very strange cases. Also her and one of her colleagues both lost their fathers as teenagers and their murders have never been solved. Read!!!!
