Correct me if I'm wrong but she's like 17-18, right? I thought she was older. Sorry, but I couldn't enjoy the story knowing she's not in her mid-twenties, also, I didn't like Jordy.
Savage Wolves and Dangerous Deals - Daniela Romero (Hellbound Hearts Book 2)
My Review: My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice: 🌶🌶🌶 Pages: 375 Genre: Paranormal Romance Tropes: Accidental Pregnancy, Mates, Bully Romance
Joaninha is moving away. Her last night in town she decides to throw caution to the wind at a party. Gives her virginity to a wolf shifter but refuses to give him her name. Nine months later Caesar is born. Nine months after that her mother decides to move them back to their home town. Her first day back at school for her senior year she comes face to face with her baby daddy.
Jordy with looks to die for has no shortage of girls throwing themselves at him. He won’t do relationships. He can’t get the girl from the party months ago out of his mind and his wolf is constantly reminding him. Then first day of his senior year there she is in the school hallway.
A week later he finds out about Caesar. He immediately scents him and knows that he is his.
This begins the battle to convince Joaninha that she is his and that he fully intends to be in his son’s life.
First they both have to go through very unpleasant things in their home lives before anything can happen.
You are going to have to read the book to find out if Jordy convinces her or if she runs and leaves town again with his son this time.

❓Have you read a reimagined series or book? I can’t help but wonder how ACOTAR would be if a contemporary romance instead of fantasy. I love how this series turned out.
This review of book two will be shorter than the first, simply by virtue of "ditto." A lot of what was true in book one is true in book two as well, and I don't see any reason to repeat it all. Jordy is a different sort of alpha a-hole than Rafe was, and my complaints on the treatment of women are reduced by at least a third. Rafe, after all, has found his forever mate—his one woman worthy of being treated with respect—and Jordy is chasing his. But much of the rest is still true.
Despite all that, I think this is a stronger book. I was pleasantly surprised when, early on, it took an unexpected turn into something significantly more interesting than the blurb let on. (I won't spoil it though.) Jo and Jordy are characters with a lot on their individual plates, each with their own additional baggage. The writing is clean and easy to read. I enjoyed the cultural characteristics coloring the narrative, and I like how the plot wrapped up.
I did find that explicit, on-page sex involving a 16-year-old is my personal ick limit. I suppose everyone reading the book won't be old enough to be the characters' mother. But I found that, for me personally, though I don't mind knowing teens have sex (of course they do), I felt all sorts of skeevy reading a hot sex scene from a 16-year-old's point of view. Nope. I'm not saying it shouldn't have been written, just that it hit my personal perv limit.
All in all, I liked this more than I expected and look forward to book three.
Ok so book 2 once again leaves us with no real ending and certainly no real HEA , maybe a HFN. Our FMC from book 1 still hasn’t even made a decision to join the pack or not which seems so ridiculous at this point. Everything we’ve ever learned about fated mates from every author is they can’t be apart and she has a whole new family now. It shouldn’t have been drawn out at all once she mated. And then we have Jordy the manwh☀️re and our water bender lady who are from the jump written with the heavy connotation that they are fated mates yet the word mate is only sparsely tossed around and never talked about between our two MC’s. So disappointing. Then another abrupt ending and then the last 12~15 % of this book actually ended up being the next books first chapters so rip off. Too many unfinished loops and storylines and very unfulfilling and abrupt endings ruin it all.
This book needs a edit. Minor consistency/word problems. Overall it's it enjoyable, but there are unanswered questions. What happened with her mother and the vamps?? Her dad Lots of things just left to the "grey" of us assuming and just accepting what happens without reading what actually happens (the pack Alpha accepting main female and kid when is was presented as a problem. How was this solved??) No one saying I love you until the "bonus" scene. But overall I did enjoy this. I did not read the first one before this. Not sure if I will read another from this series.
I read her other series first I forget the name. but its the same exact series word for word except their wolves in this one and normal people in the other??
