It was supposed to be a fresh start. A completely blank slate in a place where no one knew about the tragedy that ripped her family apart six months ago. A tragedy Rowan can’t help but blame herself for.
Now the only thing she wants is to blend in. To escape the house that has become more like a prison. Her new school is her only hope. Somewhere she can pretend she’s just like everyone else.
Only Rowan doesn’t realize how unique she is. Holden is the first to recognize it, but he’s not the last.
Rowan can’t explain the draw she feels to the guys who have found their way into her life. The way something seems to spark the first moment she touches each of them. How it almost hurts to walk away from them at the end of each day.
Things are changing, from the ripple of power humming just below her skin to this new family she’s finding herself a part of. But not all of the changes are good.
Someone doesn’t like the power Rowan is stepping into or the bonds she’s forming with the guys who have gifts as rare and strong as her own. And when the truth is revealed, it has the power to burn everything in its wake…
** A reverse harem, why choose romance. Think fated mates, a heroine who has no idea just how special she is, broody, swoony, crazy protective heroes, and a story that will keep you on the edge of your seat. **
THE SHIFTING FATE BOX SET IS NOW LIVE! A TOP 25 AMAZON BESTSELLING SERIES, NOW WITH NEW BONUS CONTENT.
**An epic paranormal romance. Think fated mates, a heroine who has no idea just how special she is, broody, swoony, crazy protective heroes, and a story that will keep you on the edge of your seat.**
A fun and quick paranormal RH series with a likable prophecy girl heroine and some good suspense. Wisely keeps the story to a tight trilogy, unlike those all-too-frequent 5-7 volume bloated series. Although it's single POV and I usually prefer dual/multiple, the tight focus worked well with the mysteries "what am I" of the first volume and "where did I come from" of the second.
All of the goodness together in one set! I love box sets. Once you finish a book, you don’t need to go searching for the other book, you just continue reading! This box set has everything you need in it. Love, action, awesome chemistry. Of you’re looking for a great read and don’t want to go searching for all of the books on your kindle; this is the box set for you!
A great start to this paranormal why choose romance.
What I enjoyed: Super enjoyed the beginning Great interpersonal relationships Like the h Broody Growly goodness True to YA - parental issues Love the Hs.
* Shifting fate box set has all the books in the shifting fate series, together with a bonus scene + an extra bonus scene you can download through bookfunnel.
After tragedy strikes and she loses the person that matters most to her, Rowan is forced to move to a small town and start at a new school. She desperately tries to blend in while going unnoticed, but fate decides differently. With a family that is falling apart and a town that comes with a bunch of unknown variables, will Rowan find her own place in life?
I love a good fated mates RH, and this series absolutely didn't disappoint. I like the fact that it seems to follow a different path then a lot of other RH books and series. The guys that are fated for Rowan are good guys: protective, lovable and dedicated to their girl. While they aren't perfect, and some of them struggle with their own demons, it is clear they have a good heart that deserves the love of a girl like Rowan. A series like this was a nice change for once, and I highly enjoyed reading it.
The bonus scene at the end and the extra bonus scene you can download through bookfunnel were nice additions to the series, especially if you like a view in these characters' futures.
This review written by a straight guy and I understand this book was not written with my demographic in mind.
I’m not entirely proud of this read. It wasn’t great, but wasn’t bad, and was interesting enough for me to finish all of it.
It is a RH story with 5 dudes, which in itself is weird. Then there’s the “spice” which doesnt happen til 60ish % through book 1, but then they occur somewhat frequently after. None of the scenes are lengthy so not too much detail. Also, two of those five guys are brothers, which is extra weird, especially with the S scenes… and the MC is 17 for the first portion. So for a while you’re reading a 17yo HS girl getting laid or romancing 5 different guys and 2 of em are brothers. Pretty weird.
The plot and story were good. Many different themes. The exploration of different types of families was excellent. Bullying was done ok I guess. There’s a bit of trauma in book 3 I thought was done well.
The characters were good, but Holden and Keene I felt were more forgettable. The other 3 just got more attention. Vaughn’s development was the best done of the 5. Anson was my favorite if that matters.
I feel like the pacing was inconsistent. First book is a slow burn, but the big things, particularly the end of book 2/start of book 3 and the end of book 3, are just blazed through. The big fight at the end felt especially short. Rushed, even.
The writing itself wasn’t impressive. There are many things that are repeated. There’s a lot of growling from humans. There are a lot of muscles “ticking” and twitching in jaws or cheeks. A lot of someone responding to something angrily and then someone else saying “woah, that’s not helping.” And many mentions of Diet Coke and Adirondack chairs. I actually wondered if the series was sponsored by Diet Coke. I know these are 3 separate books, and so my reading em all together may have made the repetitions seem extra common.
Another thing about the writing is that there were many times I caught myself thinking “that’s not how guys talk.”
Of course it’s all fantasy, targeted to a female reader, so I can’t say much. Maybe the growling and uber-protectiveness and the guy always admitting when something hurts is what ladies want. It was a decent read but I think I’ll stay out of this genre from here on out haha
This story had me so intrigued that it kept me glued to it. I loved the action, drama, and suspense throughout the story. It is extremely well written and developed. Rowan is kind and loving. She goes through a bit of a rough time throughout the story but is strong throughout it. The guys and their personalities are felt throughout the story. The descriptions are vivid and this adds that extra element to the story. It ends in a huge cliffhanger and has me so excited for the next book. And luckily as this is a boxset I can move right on to the next one.
Mark Of Stars
OMG! This was amazing. It had me on the edge of my seat from the beginning to the end. There is so much action throughout the story. It is like Rowan and the guys can’t catch a break. It has drama, suspense, action, and even betrayal. It has some moments that make you laugh and then there are moments when the story actually can bring you to tears right along side of the characters. They are stunningly beautiful and you can just feel their personalities throughout the story. It is extremely well written and developed. Yes, this book ends in a cliffhanger but boy is it a major one. When I read the end I could only sit here and blink as I couldn’t believe it.
Bond Of Destiny
Oh My! We come to the third book in an amazing series. It is a moment of happiness and sadness as it is the conclusion of the series. Rowan and the guys have become like friends that are moving and you will miss them. Throughout the series we see Rowan growing and getting stronger. The bonds with her mates continue to develop and become stronger.
I love that this book is packed with action, drama, suspense, and some hot sexy scenes. The story has you feeling their pain, happiness, anger and sadness. It is extremely well written and developed. The storyline is amazing and unique. I love how different it is as it pulls you in and doesn’t let go. Tessa Hale really packed a punch on this one and it is felt throughout it. It is most definitely a must read and doesn’t disappoint. If you like action packed, kick butt females with strong protective alpha males then you definitely need to read this series. I loved the Bonus Scene in this boxset. Great addition.
I absolutely love this series. Once this series was finished, it quickly went into my rotation of "re-reads". Sometimes you just need a feel good re-read with a completed series, and this is it for me.
Spark of Fate- We start with a cute prologue of two sisters, and a bit of tragedy. We jump forward a little bit and see Rowan in a new environment, and she meets one of the men in her H. He's the golden boy, Holden, they are in high school together and she's a brand new student. While attending school she meets 3 of the 4 remaining guys in her H. They all play different parts, Lucas- cinnamon role vibes, he's a sweetheart and super helpful. Keene is a bit skeptical but I love that Rowan (our FMC) goes back at him, and he's just lovable. Anson there's more to him than meets the eye and Rowan recognizes this almost immediately, because she also hides her sadness. She actually met her 5th and last guy, but doesn't quite realize it yet until further in the book.
We meet Ro's new best friend (Cass), a few other characters who will come up throughout the series. We start to see more of the plot, and a few questions pop up about Ro. She is strong, bada$$ but not too proud to ask for help (right now...), and she truly tries to let herself feel and trust again.
The cliffhanger pulls at the heartstrings...
Mark of Stars- We pick up right after Spark of Fate, we see more of our angsty guy Vaughn (who's younger brother is Keene). We also see a few new "players" into this plot with the council and a few other shifters. We also see someone from Ro's past come back around, but it's not all sunshine and roses. We also have a few trust issues to work out with someone in her H.
Ro starts to solidify her bonds with her H, her "bonded" as they're called. We see how each relationship between Ro and her guys differs. What they can offer each other, and how they are all different but also come together to help out Ro and lean on each other.
I was not a FAN of this cliffhanger, one of the mean girls rears her ugly head and to be honest, I have no idea what I was expecting with this development.
Bond of Destiny- We pick up rather quickly on this story, and we see evil truly rear its ugly head. This is probably the darkest part of the series, and we see really how much Ro has grown as an individual. She's become so strong, even though it seems like she's alone at the moment, she doesn't lose her heart. She bounds with another female shifter and they lean on one another through the ordeal.
Without giving too much away Ro is able to help the guys find her and rescue her. This is the peak of when the plot comes full circle! It picks up speed a little too, you don't want to blink. I'm so glad that evil doesn't win out and we see some changes that Ro wants to help make. She really comes such a long way as do all her guys, I'm so happy that they got to their HEA after all. Don't miss out on the first bonus epilogue before reading the bonus box set epilogue.
Overall Series Rating: FMC POV Shifters / Wolves 🐺 FMC - doesn't know how strong/powerful she is Protective Men / Growly Fated Mates 🌶 🌶 🌶 Plot 5/5 - This isn't the typical shifter romance, yes it's fated mates, but that's where similarities end. It's a great story
*Bonus* Box set Epilogue: I own all 3 books separately and couldn't wait to get my hands on this box set. I absolutely loved the *bonus* epilogue that was extended beyond the other epilogue. It was so sweet to see a little bit more of their family and the other kiddos even more! It was great ending to Ro's story

This is the second series I started by this author. I’ve just finished book 3 and let me tell you. This series is nonstop. There is no shortage of action in this book. But, it’s very repetitive. I got similar vibes from the other series I started by her (legacy of shadows) they seem to follow the same script. To be frank, by book three I was bored.
‼️🚨Also, don’t bother downloading the bonus scene. It’s literally the same exact scene as the epilogue only years later ‼️🚨
✏️ They have: frequent panic attacks, bitchy and abusive mean girls (stay away from him or else 👿), they black out often (a very concerning amount actually), one single mate who is grumpy and reluctant to join the bond in fear of hurting the FMC or other bond members.
🐺This was also a shifter book. I feel like outside of the “pack” I didn’t get the werewolf/shifter aspect. Honestly, the author could have just gone with mates, and gifts and had just as good of a book. We didn’t really see too much of the wolf side. I would have liked for that to play a bigger part in the story.
🌶️ For a why choose/reverse harem series I’d say the spice was pretty minimal. Yes we get very semi frequent singular couple scenes and only a few group scenes. And they aren’t even “group” scenes. It’s more of a everyone is present during smexy time. We dont see any MFM fun time and certainly don’t get MM action. It’s quite vanilla compared to what I normally like.
I liked this series. But I’m not in love with it. just found myself predicting what’ll happen too easily. I have much more faith in the Legacy of Shadows series in which I am quite excited for the third book. I’m looking forward to that release date
Things I loved : The trueness of their bond with minimal third party invasion, there were bit of bitch squad but there main role was to bring the pack together, loved the background details for Rowan with adopted parents mean streak and abusive track. Loved the villain role of "true Alpha King". It was a nice spicy read
Things that were not so good More focus on FL with less attention to ML and their chemistry to each other, would have enjoyed more if there were more moments of friendships or even their POV.... Spoiler Ahead
No mention was given how they located Rowan from her cell their was mention of old mad healer training with Luc but it was barely there, No moment was given to the boys with how they were feeling it was all in all Rowan world....Rowan was a healer with her accident she never felt guilty after recognising her healing ability if she knew about it earlier she could have saved Lacey and adopted parents having such a U turn there was a hint of the dad cheating but it was swept under rugs, it feels like lots of missed chances...There was also when poor Keene tracked Kaleb's location but no interest was made to take some action..It was a fun read but a bit rustic on edges..

This is the boxed set/omnibus edition of the Shifting Fate series by Tessa Hale.
Book 1: After a deadly accident, Rowan’s family moves her across the country to Washington state. There she meets some interesting guys at her new school, little does she know that they are all shifters.
Book 2: Finding out she’s a shifter herself, puts Rowan in harms way, as the strength of her gifts and number of her bonds puts a target on her back, as those seeking power will want to use her.
Book 3: Rowan and her bonds will have to face the evil that is infecting the shifter community as a whole. This means getting stronger, and learning how best to use her gifts.
This story, a RH romance, features one heroine and her five lucky men. Set Ina world of shifters and magic, there are bad guys to discover and overcome, and a high school senior year to navigate (with mean girls and more).
It’s an entertaining read, with an intriguing premise and interesting characters. RH Fantasy/Academy fans will enjoy reading it.
Tessa Hale’s Shifting Fate series was one that had lots of potential, is clearly enjoyed by many, but did not work for me. There was enough throughout the series to ensure I finished to see how it came together, yet nothing about the series was memorable.
My main problem with this series was the lack of depth. The story was filled with cliches and predictable moments, which can be fine, but to make these moments worthwhile I want a story I can connect to. I want characters with depth and emotions that hit hard, and such was not the case with this. For me, it felt like it could have been one single book, or each book should have had a lot more to it. As it was, it never went far enough into what I’d wanted, which prevented me from falling for the series in the way other people have.
I’m clearly in the minority with this one, though. Many loved it, it just didn’t have enough to it for me.
All three books together and a bonus scene? Sign me up!
For the First time all the books in the Shifting Fate trilogy by Tessa Hale are together. I loved this trilogy and have now read it 3 or 4 times. I love Rowan and her men, I love their story. Each book repeatedly grabbed and held my attention and I loved it. Tessa Hale has done an amazing job and has given us a fantastic trilogy. Rowan and her mates will do anything and everything to help each other no matter what. The characters that you'll come to love do in fact get their HEA. This box set has a bonus scene included plus another bonus scene you can download at the end of the book. I would definitely recommend you one-click or borrow the Shifting Fate series with KU now. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This is a box set with a prologue, books 1, 2 and 3 and an extended epilogue. This is a high school paranormal reverse harem book with wolf shifters, warlocks, humans and latent powers all happening during senior year. This was a page turner and I was glad to get the box set since books 1 and 2 had a hell of a cliffhanger. I really enjoyed the story, the characters and their struggles, even though high school drama always makes me uncomfortable. This was a fun reading and I will definitely read the Royals of Kingwood Academy next.
this is the first book (series) that i actually finished rereading it with ebooks, congrats to me lmao. shifting fate is always my favorite series by tessa hale, rowan and her mates are one of my favorite harems of all times. i always wanted to revisit this series and im glad i finally did! it was just as good as the first time i’ve read it, probably even better since i didn’t get to binge read the first time. my favorite is still vaughn and holden, there are just something about them that is so *chef kiss* anyway, i’m pretty sure i’ll reread it again in the future lmao
I loved this triple book series each book was exceptional. Loved the characters and the and depth of feeling and connection and Rowan was a kick ass woman except for all the tears I do think the author had her boo hoo ing a bit too much. I really liked the action and mystery. Rowan learning who she was her history was great. Loved the humor through out the book. Rowan was very tender hearted very empathetic which may account for the abundance of tears. Loved the ending and thank you for giving us a great epilogue This was my first book by Tessa Hale I will be looking for more.
What an awesome story! Totally loved Rowan & her Bond and the adventure they found themselves on.
I found the characters & story line well written with flowing timelines and backstories that worked well. The slow burn & development of relationships was great & our lead FMC was brave & raw in her learning of a new world!
I’m a bit of an alt POV kinda person but this trilogy is all from the MFC perspective & really works well. I never felt like I missed out an anything behind the scenes.
This box set has books 1 through 3 plus a bonus epilogue that you just have to read! I absolutely adore Ro and love the guys, Lucas, Holden, Anson, Keene, and Vaughn. There relationship is what fate had aligned in the stars from the beginning. The road to happiness and and HEA does come with bumbs and twists but their fight to hold onto their love is amazing. I'm sad to see it end but I was an amazing read to get there.
This series is phenomenal. I loved the growth of the relationship, the world building and the overall story. The loss of her sister sparks a move, a change in the relationship between herself and her adoptive parents. She then finds herself becoming friends with shifters, and discovering secrets about her biological parents. The mystery, action, and relationships keep you turning the pages. Amazing story, great bosses, highly recommend.
I enjoyed the story line. The world in which we share in and the special people in them. The story of a girl, the tragedies that touch her and the strength she finds in her love of her mates. That which doesn't kill us, makes us stronger. And a couple of Mean girls that gets justice served.
I found this box set to be a thoroughly enjoyable read. I loved the story and it was really intriguing, I got my guesses wrong as to who was up to what but I love it when that happens. The characters were great and they all grew on me as the story progressed. I would recommend giving it a read.
This series has been such a roller coaster . I loved all the characters (Anson and Vaughn were my fav ) and the plot build was fantastic! I love all of Tessa work I haven't been disappointed yet ! Must read . Grab your tissues for the last book though . Lots of happy tears
I cannot recommend this series enough! I love these characters and wish the series could have continued. It was great to have an extra epilogue was an amazing addition. I look forward to seeing what else this author writes.
Honestly adore this series, it has everything I needed to get me hooked an draw me in. Rowen and her boys give everything and more, protective mates, fated mates, true love and devotion. This is a must read
A fantastic story with characters that develop and grow along the way. You won't regret reading this boxset, the drama, bonds and trials along the way will have you reading with baited breath!
DNF at 66% once again the repetition, internal monologue goes on. The layout of these books is annoying, the lack of proper paragraphs (there are a few) probably the most annoying. I did try and finish but it's so slow. Personally there was no need to spread this story over 3 books
I enjoyed the dynamics between all the characters. The writing was well done. I got a little tired of the self flagellation on repeat, but other than that, great storylines. Some twists and turns thrown in for go measure.
I did complete re read because I missed these characters so much. Ro and her mates have my heart. I love them. And loved the bonus content at the end!!!
I cant say enough about the this series its amazing. I love the chemistry between all the characters. This series is a must read!!!! I'm looking forward to more great books from this author.
