Down the Basement is a suspense-filled thriller. A parent’s worst nightmare, the kidnapping of their child from a local park has Detective Allie Down on the case. When she herself is abducted, she ends up in the same basement as young Katie Meroni. When she is released and the kidnapper turns himself in, Allie will have to use all her training to find the young girl. This book is a nail-biter from the first page to the last. With this introduction to Detective Down, Fernor introduces us to what will be a great series. Well done. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
