Reading this reminded me how much I hate the Snyderverse (if it even is called that nowadays). And even though The Flash had the coolest scene in the Snydercut, Ezra Miller's portrayal of the character must be one of the most obnoxious ever and some of that portrayal is depicted in this issue. And reading that The Flash cares about not hurting anyone in front of Batfleck who is just a murderer in the DCEU is laughable. Keep up the terrible work WB, I'm sure I will hit 70 before I can see a good live-action adaptation of The Dark Knight Returns again. Thank god we have the animated movie at least.

Also, very bad art.

Note: Review is solely based on reading Issue #1!
Few references to the Justice League movie's jokes (i just push people and run away)

having the same old, same old villain backstory.

Literally flash trying to practice THE SUPER SONIC PUNCH arc felt the exact replica from the CW's shows just with Batman in Cisco's voice (same old, same old)

Batman using friendship and inspirational words to push the Flash to his boundaries and save the day felt like a really boring plot.

Though I didn’t always love the art style, I really loved seeing these versions of the characters following the events of the movies. I’m so excited to see where it goes for the next 2 issues and the film

This was a pretty great comic. This actually felt like Flash and was in character. I'm pretty interested to see how the film will go. The only issue I have with this is incorporating that stupid "I don't fight, I shove criminals" line from Josstice League, but they did make a great story out of it.

Love comic books based on live action comic book adaption. Love them!

These 3 issues are a bit of mixed bag. Barry spends a lot of time running from supervillian encounters to pep himself up, then goes back to finish fight. It seems odd and breaks the pacing.

It’s a movie tie-in book so I wasn’t expecting too much to happen and I think that was a good expectation. Also the plot of this issue literally happened in the CW show

Cool

I still like Barry's first suit, this helmet is wonky, but it's a fun read nonetheless. I like Batman as Barry's mentor.

Story was fairly basic but the real downfall is the unsuitable style of art.

Fortunately issue #2 was better.

A proper start to the sendoff of the DCEU

I'm just now more excited than ever to see The Flash film. Really great comic to start that journey for the audience.

Definitely better than the film. Another reminder that lack of money drives people to villainy.
