Cute book. Good if used in conjunction with LLPSI. Feels like it’s been designed as a part 1 in a 2 part series, as much grammar isn’t covered in the text (subjunctive isn’t mentioned or used at all).
I think this would be AWFUL to try to learn Latin for the first time from. It was okay as a review text focusing on grammar. (The exercises are mostly grammar.) "All in Latin" does not mean proficiency-based.
Also, the part where we are introduced to Larentia, Romulus' and Remus' adoptive mother, first is nice and all, but it's because she's 1st declension, not because this text does anything even resembling a good job at representation.
I really appreciated that this had some sort of aspiration to entertain the reader, honestly, this is like Crime and Punishment in comparison with Familia Romana.
