Intergalactic Warriors #2

Jessica's Protector

Rate this book
Being abducted by aliens was bad, but even worse? The UFO I'm in crashes on a rock of a planet. And what's waiting for me in the woods? Yes, still more aliens. Lovely.

Cinq might be the hottest man I've ever seen, with brains and arrogance to match. Then, speaking of matches, he's insisting we're fated mates. Like I believe that. Still, he cares for me. His friends hiding out on the deserted planet are decent men, and I could be happy living here in their little band of exiles.

Except, when the chance comes for me to leave, I have to take it. Even if it means leaving a man I love behind.

Beautifully written, I so enjoyed all the creativity that went into making the different races, and hybrids, along with how complex the technology is. Brilliantly done.

Cinq is so full of himself but his love for Jessica is unwavering. I absolutely LOVED the fact that Jessica is independent and that Cinq's overly protective nature warres with that type of personality!

If I'm ever abducted by aliens, I hope I am brave enough to be like Jessica, who rolled with the punches with so much grace and compassion. Plus, I wouldn't mind having a hunky love interest either.

I love Quin and S'Tou too, I find their stories super interesting and would totally love to read more about them. Okay in reality I just want some steamy hot scenes where I can oogle them.

Speaking scenes, this one was super sweet, I love the passion that Cinq has and his utter devotion to Jessica.

The only thing I didn't like was Cinq's ego. The man has an ego the size of a planet. Like for real, the man needs a few lessons in humility but most geniuses are like that, no matter the galaxy it seems.

Overall, an excellent book. I enjoyed book 1 a little more but I am DEFINITELY hooked and can't wait to read the next one!

P.S. You should seriously read the series that came before this, you'll totally appreciate the complexity that Mara has created and have a better understanding of the universe she's created. Plus, each book has some amazing scenes in them. Basically I'm say read everything because it is bellissimo *chef's kiss*

I loved this

Great humor and an epic romance. Can't wait to read the next one. This is a fascinating world with many diverse aliens I'd love to meet.

What attitudes!! 🙂

Jessica is another victim in the extremely long list of humans kidnapped from Earth. Making friends with Staci helps both during the traumatizing trip in the aliens cargo hold.
Cinq and 3 others have been hiding from the authorities on a mostly barren planet titles X-113.
When Jessica and Staci end up crashing on the same planet, both of their lives are changed.

not as good as the first but still fun

The first book in this series was so good - mostly because the author made the female lead so REAL and relatable. This one definitely not as good - but still a good read. There are more sad events in this book though, which was harder to read. :(
