This was an easy read BUT
This was just too undramatic for me.
I was hoping for some sort of drama to occur for these two, but it was too sweet and cute for me (atm).
I might be broken for wanting pain or anything close to it lol
I also wanted to know more about WHY he was celibate for that long? I might have missed an explanation but even though I love when men are like this in books, it just was not enough for me.

We enjoyed this one, it was one of those super sweet romance reads that was fun and flirty and full of banter, both the clean and dirty kind.LOL
Tori and Aiden had awesome chemistry, they burned up the sheets. We loved how supportive of each other they were with each other's careers. This couple had great friendships, which is kind of how they met.
Overall, this was just one of those romances that is easy to read and super sweet with not a lot of fanfare, just one that concentrated on the growing romance between the two and making the distance that their jobs put between them work. For me, this was the perfect read that lightened up my day and put a smile on my face, and made me laugh.

4.5 Star review of Aiden (San Francisco Shockwaves #2) by Samantha Lind
This was an entertaining read that ticked a number of boxes for me. I enjoy friends to lovers stories and quickly became invested in Aiden and Tori’s story.
From the moment he saw Tori, Aiden knew she was meant to be in his life. However, Tori has trust issues and the last things she wants is to be another “puck bunny” which is actually the last thing Aiden wants.
Convincing Tori to take a chance, they become friends but the sparks fly between them. The attraction between them is immediate and it was entertaining to watch their relationship develop.
I loved this couple, they are easy to relate to and I found myself smiling throughout. Their support of one another was also heart warming, as was the witty banter . The relationship that Aden has with his teammates also added an additional layer to my enjoyment.
This was a wonderful read and I am excited to see what Ms.Lind has in store for the remainder of the series.

After reading the first book in this hockey-fueled series I was eager to see what Ms. Lind had planned next for us...and what she planned for us was a charming tale of opposites attracting with friends becoming lovers. Told against the backdrop of hockey, and the heroine's career, readers will find this an entertaining journey with conflict coming from within and easily investing us in the future of the main couple. It’s a story that’s been done before, but it was done well here and it kept me satisfied from the first page to the last.
Aiden Fox is a star of the San Francisco Shockwaves hockey team and from the minute he meets Tori he's smitten with her in a connection that crackled. Aiden's a drool-worthy hero, a commanding and confident man, a man used to getting what he wants. Tori leads him on a merry chase from their very first meeting though as she's a woman full of self-doubts. She's comfortable with the two of them being friends however and from their first date they engaged in a journey teeming with sexual tension. It's a journey low on angst yet high on steaminess, a journey with witty banter and scorching talk...especially courtesy of Aiden. It's an entertaining journey that has me invested in their future as a couple, weighing his hockey career with her new job offer on the road, all while navigating their burgeoning romance.
On a whole this was a satisfying story courtesy of its likable couple and their endearing burgeoning romance. The connection between Aiden and Tori is instant and becomes a slow-burn as Tori's been burned before and is hesitant to open her heart again. Their exchanges as friends are funny and heartwarming with the transition to something more becoming combustible. Alongside the romantic journey of this main couple are the interactions amongst the teammates. It was enjoyable to see the brotherly and playful banter between Aiden and Ryker (from the previous book) as well as Aiden and other teammates like Tristan, Damian, and Jason (players who have me excited for future books in this series. The balance between hockey and romance was ultimately spot-on and added to the overall enjoyment of this book!

Tori didn't know much about hockey, but her friend Avery helped her with that world, especially when she got to go to an aftergame get together, and this is when her story really takes off. She feels a real connection with Aiden, even before she saw him, and he felt the same about her so he's going to get her to go out with him. The sparks are flying that night, and it was easy to tell that they would be amazing together but there was just a slight issue, she has some preconceived notions about hockey players & puck bunnies, so she's not as fully on board right away as Aiden is. What follows is a new journey for both of them, and I loved every minute of it since they dealt with real issues (like both of their jobs were time consuming not to mention both travel schedules), and how to make things work through it especially since his sports star status was a complication on it's own. Don't sleep on Aiden because everyone needs to experience all this sexy hockey goodness that I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Aiden is the perfect mix of sweet and sexy as he shows Tori that she can trust him with her heart and that as long as they are together there is no challenge they can't overcome.

I received a complimentary early release e-book prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was a really hot and sexy romance and I absolutely loved it. If you are looking for a sexy and flirty romance then this the book for you.
Based on the description of the book it sounds like it's a friends to lover's romance but it's so not. I would characterize it as insta lust/love within a sports romance between two people who have very high powered day jobs.
In this book we meet Aiden a hockey player who is more of a family guy and one who is more into a relationship. He meets Tori one night after a game when she and her best friend are visiting Ryker (teammate from the first book in the series RYKER) after a game. He asks her out but she thinks he is a player/playboy but he isn't. He asks for a shot and she asks him if they can take things slow. And so begins their relationship.
Tori is a VP of Marketing for a record producer for bands. She works a lot and is very dedicated to her job, bands and her work team. When she meets Aiden she is very much into him but asks to take things slow to make sure he is not a player.
I loved how the author took us through them getting to know each other and we get to come a long on their dates. Aiden is a total hottie, and he falls pretty hard and fast for Tori. Tori falls just as hard for him and I loved watching them get to know each other and also have lots of sex.
Be warned there are LOTS of sex scenes. The author definitely knows how to write hot and sexy scenes.

Aiden is a young and talented hockey player who’s been traded to the new expansion team. He’s built a decent bond with some teammates and is excited for what the season has to bring. He meets Tori from a mutual friend and their first meeting couldn’t have gone better. Now he needs to convince her to go out with him. He’s not a player and wants her. Can he show Tori that there’s more to hockey players than meets the eye, as well as having proof to back up the stamina she’s heard about or is this relationship going to move at the speed of light and into the future?
Tori is hard working and driven. She meets Aiden through her best friend and is instantly smitten. She doesn’t care that Aiden is a hockey player, but those muscles definitely help. Can she give herself a chance to find a guy who means something to her or is being away from each other too much of an exhausting sacrifice?
This book is good! It’s a quick read that has a ton of spice. Aiden is a freak in the sheets and loves to let Tori know exactly what he wants to do with her. I loved that he was honest and domestic not just a guy who only cared about hockey. Tori was a bad ass with her job and everything she accomplished. She liked Aiden for him and not his money or his title, she was a boss herself. Really enjoying the series and can’t wait for more.

Having read Ryker earlier this year, i’ve been looking forward to more from this world! As soon as this second installment was announced i wanted to read it. I picked it up and got right back into the San Francisco Shockwaves world! I so enjoyed it!
Tori and Aiden’s journey had my attention right from their very first meeting! As these two become friends, will they ignore their feelings? Or can they open their hearts?

A fun and flirty story about a HOT hockey player that isn't the man he is believed to be. Aiden and Tori had me laughing, swooning and just really cheering him on throughout this book. Another great book by this author!! ~Jen
"This was such an easy book to read. I liked how both Tori & Aiden just clicked right from the beginning after being introduced by each other’s best friends. That part also helps them both navigate their new relationship because their best friends are practically going through the same hurdles.

Great addition to this new series! I fell in love with Aiden, who's got one of the biggest hearts ever! And Tori, a strong independent woman will make you proud! 5 hot hockey stars for this one!
Tori met Aiden while out after a Shockwaves game with her bestie who is dating one of Aiden's teammates. She's not looking for anything right now, but Aiden certainly catches her attention, and the two hit it off, talking all night, and exchange phone numbers, but she say's they can only be just friends.

Aiden and Tori hit it off immediately when they meet through mutual friends and despite their hot and heavy start, this really is a story of a slow burn love that they continue to work on together.
Aiden is taken with Tori from the start and even though he might want to keep up the frantic pace with their relationship, he recognizes and respects that Tori is going to need some time. They use this time to not only grow their love, but to really get to know each other and how to work their relationship despite busy schedules for both.
Aiden is a bit of a dirty talker and I love it just as much as Tori did, he isn't afraid to say what's on his mind and ask what she wants....swoon!
As usual with Samantha's books, the angst level is low and characters handle disagreements with logic and maturity. Can't wait for the next Shockwave book!!

The second book in the San Francisco Shockwaves series is here and is a great addition to the series! Aiden is an honest and caring member of the team and Tori is the best friend of one of the other players on the team. They meet through their friends (the couple from the first book of the series) and hit it off immediately and sparks start flying!
This is a story with very low angst but very good spice! The characters are loveable and relatable and you cheer for them through the entire book. It’s refreshing to read a story that doesn’t have a massive heartbreak or problem that leads the characters to figuring out their feelings. Samantha just shows how a couple naturally falls into their feelings and become a couple. Definitely worth the read!!

Aiden is swoony and the way that man talks....well, let's just say it's spicy.
I liked the fact that Tori was cautious at first, and I like how she was confident in herself and her world. And when she slowly introduced herself to Aiden, it was quite the education.
The chemistry and flow of the relationship between Aiden and Tori was honest, organic and the flow was spot on.
Ms. Lind really knows how to write a hockey romance, and the way she describes everyday things makes the story more real and relatable. She has a down-home feel to her stories that I really enjoy.
This story is such a great addition to the Shockwaves series!

I’m loving the Shockwaves series! Book 2 was just as good as the first one! Aiden is a professional hockey player and meets Tori through friends. Even though she wanted to take it slow and be friends first…these two couldn’t deny their insane chemistry for to long. I especially loved how supportive they were to each other’s jobs. They were very sweet together. I enjoyed The quick paced story and loved these characters. I laughed Out loud at some of the teammates banter and just love their friendships. I love this amazing hockey romance series and I’m already looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

So this was my first book by this author. Aiden and Tori were meant for each other from the start. Brought into each others lives from their friends Avery and Ryker, these two decided to take it slow. I enjoyed the ride they were on. And man does Aiden know how to dirty talk! He’s the type of guy you want in your life that’s fore sure. This is part of a series, but I didn’t feel that they needed to be read in a certain order. We got to hear about Ryker and Avery and their love still. Just loved the storyline without any drama.

This was another great book by Samantha Lind! I'm so happy to see more books releasing in the San Francisco Shockwaves series.
Aiden and Tori have great chemistry from the beginning and I was hooked on this story from the beginning. Tori is a little apprehensive about getting involved with Aiden because of his celebrity status ad a hockey player but he does a good job at convincing her that he will make her his priority because he's convinced that she's the one who's meant for him the moment he meets her.
I loved the banter between these two and the family feel of the hockey team.
This was an easy, quick and fun story to read!

Aiden by Samantha Lind is book two in the San Francisco Shockwaves and each book can be read as a standalone if you wish. It does follow the new hockey team in SF and will portray a different team member and the continuing team story. Aiden and Tori meet and while their connection is instant she is hesitant based upon his actions. They know that each other's friends would warn them if they were a puck bunny or after only one thing and they are not. The connection is instant, hot and a great addition to the Shockwaves team and WAGs. If you enjoy sports, instant connections and true friendships this story is for you.

Samantha Lind is one of my favourite hockey romance authors she never messes about and gets right to the swoon, the chemistry and connection to the couples are always believable and, none more so than Aiden and Tori, I loved their banter, the fact that Aiden was supportive with Tori's job at the same time wooing her, this is the second book in the San Francisco Shockwaves and I am already hooked, the extra magic at the end, getting to know more of the players and what might be to come just made this a must-read.

This is the second book in this incredible series, and this is Aiden and Tori’s story. From the moment that Aiden sees Tori, he knows that she is the one for him, and the sparks fly. The chemistry between these two is combustible and undeniable, and they complement each other perfectly. This is a well written friends / lovers’ sports romance, with fun, trust, humor, friendships, witty banter, and love, which leads to a sweet, entertaining, and heartwarming page turner.

Another great book in the series! One thing I love about reading a book by Samantha Lind is it's a make you feel good romance. It's a beautiful love story with all the feels. This book was no different. I so enjoyed going on this journey with Aiden and Tori. There are few surprises along the way for them, but beautiful ones that made my heart full of happiness. The last few chapters were read with a huge smile on my face. If you want a book that delivers on the romance this is the book for you! I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Aiden is the second book in the Shockwaves series and can be read as a standalone. This is Aiden and Tori's story. I really liked Aiden. He was sweet and head over heels for Tori right from the start. He took every opportunity to tell Tori his intentions and he was committed. It took longer for me to really like Tori. She was back and forth with Aiden even after they had some very intimate moments. It was like she trusted him but not completely. It wasn't until about 70% that I really connected with her character. Looking forward to the next book in the series!!
