Charlotte I shouldn't have witnessed the murders. But I did. And now I can't escape the men who want nothing more than to make me pay for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Kronos, Hypnos, and Ayres hold my life in their hands. And they just so happen to live by the motto of Leave No Witnesses. They are psychos who love nothing more than death and destruction, but for some reason I've intrigued them enough to be kept as their pet. They want my submission but I'll do anything to get my freedom.
Kronos I'm under her spell as she struggles to break free. Her eyes haunt me in ways I've never experienced. But she's the sole witness to our crime and she has to die. Eventually. Right now all I can think about is sinking my cock inside of her, claiming her for all of eternity. Am I crazy? Fuck yes, I am. Especially when it comes to her.
Hypnos I instantly fell for her but no one needs to know that. She's smart - too smart for her own good. The moment she tried to fight us, my heart woke up from its dull existence. There was no satiating my desire for her once I took her virginity with my tongue.
Ayres I shouldn't have called her Kitten. I most certainly shouldn't have wanted her to call me Daddy. But those sorrowful eyes nagged at me in unexplainable ways. My own demise from keeping my distance from her dissipated the moment she gave herself to me. Unwillingly? Yes, but she liked it.
I had to emotionally decompress before writing this review so that I could sort out my own conflicting feelings on all the characters involved.
If you read the first book, which unless you are a psychopath with no care for order and lick rock salt for fun, you will have read the first book prior to reading this one... RIGHT?? If not, this review is NOT for you. Also be sure to read the TRIGGER WARNINGS. This book has ALL of the triggers, every single one. It's not for everyone.
What we ALREADY Know: Having read the first book, it will not be a surprise to know the three Power brothers Kronos, Hypnos, and Ayres kidnapped our girl Charlotte and have sexually assaulted, raped, and degraded her for a period of time. Charlotte's guardian David aka Haydes is aware that they are keeping her hostage. He has past affiliation with the brothers and was already in the process of carrying out a plot to dismantle the brother's illegal organization. He wants to cripple them in every way possible. The storyline and history between these 4 men, I really like and find interesting.
During this story we see the rough treatment of our girl escalate. There is gun play and carving as forms of punishment. The interactions between the brothers and Charlottle will fk you up because somehow during all these harsh treatments everyone is catching feelings. As a reader I immediately wanted to diagnose our girl with Stockholm Syndrome.
Shit gets weird... in the form of a consensual group activity... with MM scenes... again, if you read the first book it was mentioned that they are half brothers so it's not really incest but still very taboo.
But and this is a big BUT. The Powers aren't who will leave you feeling some kind of way. Some shit goes down that will leave you shook af. Like you might need to get in your car, drive to the gas station, get you a cigarette, green apple vape, CBD, shit if you're 420 friendly and have access to that you will probably need it. Get you a drank, go sit outside and stare off at the moon, breath, and decompress. You will have 101 questions for yourself, for the storyline, for the characters and your inner turmoil but bish, this cliffhanger is going to force you to read book 3. Even if you struggled with the hard parts of this one, this story must be finished. It's like a 5 part Law & Order Criminal Intent episode.
** Also don't feel bad if your body and brain react differently to the same scene. You are still a good person, this is all fiction, no one was really hurt, you're human, and we all have an unspoken dark side.
I would ONLY recommend this book to an open-minded reader with NO trigger warnings. Possibly someone who has been desensitized from years of watching/reading true crime cases.
I've been dying for book 2 since that cliffhanger and my body is not ready!!
We pick up where Charlotte was doing running away from Hypnos and the brothers, but she choose the wrong path she ended up at the docs where she was taken again but nothing happens since The borhers own the docs.
Kronos makes sure Char learns a lesson infornt of a crowd not to run away again and never betray them. Its humiliating and it breaks her into submitting to Kronos first. When they make it back home she gets more punishment from Hypnos since she was the one to hurt him he took that personally. So in my list so far Ayres is top brother now lol he could be redeem from my eyes from book 1 Kronos can sorta be redeem Hypnos took a step back. But the one I can't see be redeem is Haydes he used the connection they had as sorta brother/sister in Charlotte mind and ruined/tainted it for her. She was raped by him humiliated by him and he without her knowledge emailed video of it to the brother's. I do hope he isn't part of this messed up why choose. Because I don't think he can be forgiven. Which is so wired for me since these guys are so messed up lol.
And that cliffhanger! I need book 3 RIGHT NOW!! Fight back Char!!!
Angst,om drama (her sorta caregiver) no cheating, drama, sexy times, no virgins

So deliciously taboo and thrilling that I couldn’t stop turning each page.
I feel for Charlotte and everything she had endured throughout this story and I love how protective the Power brothers are over her. Sure, they show their feelings/emotions in ways others wouldn’t but that’s what makes this series all the better.
I can’t wait for book 3 and to find out what happens next, especially after the ending that occurred in the second instalment.. definitely was NOT expecting that!
“I’ve done some minor-well, minor to me-stupid things in my life. Today, I’ve accomplished the stupidest thing in the world: getting myself caught into a somehow worse situation than I was already in.” -Psychos Take Love
I was dumb to try to run. I should have known better, but a girl must try, right?! Now Kronos has me paying for it. Not only did he have his way with me in front of all the dockworkers, but then Hypnos branded me. The weird thing was… I was beginning to enjoy it, what is wrong with me?! Just as I was gaining a tiny bit of trust back, Haydes has to go and ruin everything. I thought I could trust Haydes. I thought I was safe with him. Question is, can I escape him with my life?
S.J. Ransom has done it again. I could not wait to get my hands on the second book of the Psychos in Love Series. Boy did she not disappoint! I devoured this book in three hours. Unlike in the first book, Ransom starts to give us a little back story involving the Powers brothers and Haydes. I thought that the author did a brilliant job showing the inner turmoil within Charlotte, revealing how she was feeling and how she knew that she shouldn’t be feeling that way about her captors… typical of Stockholm Syndrome. Although you want to hate Kronos, Hypnos, and Ayres, you grow to hate Haydes even more. S.J. Ransom has a gift for writing cliffhangers… and let me tell you, just like the first book, she leaves you craving the third book…which, let me add, is not out yet!
Of course, I must rate this book 5 stars and only recommend it to those who are 18+, desensitized, and not easily offended. This novel touches on extremely sensitive topics and should be read with caution. I would suggest that you read the first book in the series first, Psychos in Love, because this story picks up exactly where the first one ended. I also highly encourage you to check the content and trigger warnings… the first book was not banned for no reason on Amazon.
Content/Trigger Warnings from the author herself: murder, kidnapping, rape, bondage, blood pay, torture, angry violence, very descriptive scenes, double penetration, choking, different objects used for sex, BDSM themes, and MM action… others I want to include are profanity, blood, branding, emotional abuse, and pregnancy
Charlotte tried to get away but they got her back and made sure she wouldn’t do it again. However Haydes finds her and takes her showing her his true psychotic self , he makes Kronos , Ayres and Hypnos look all cute and cuddly like Winnie The Pooh!
I am going to say it right off the bat... or off Ayres' bat... HEED THE WARNINGS. This really is not for the faint of heart and if you read book one, you know, but also, this one to me is way darker than book 1.
We start this one right where we left off in Book 1 and we are thrown into action. From there it only gets wilder. This book is fast paced and will leave you questioning yourself. These men prey on the weak and Charlotte is no different. They may be awful to her, but they also have a soft spot for her.
I was not sure where this one was going to go. I cannot believe that it ended that way and can only hope that almost everyone is going to come out unscathed. I cannot wait for Book 3!!
Here me thinking how is S.J Ransom going to top psychos in love and well ...... Here it is part two of the psychos in love series. This book continues following Charlotte and those terrifying but fine men that have come crashing into her life. Is this book messed up ? Oh Yes. Is that a bad thing? Hell no, I mean it's not for the faint hearted it's dark and twisted but that's what I love. Darker the better and well parts in this book went places I wouldn't have even imagined but it was so good. Its an amazing quick read which left me on edge but wanting more and that cliff hanger I mean 😱😱 can not wait for book 3 and to see what is in store for Charlotte. And I need this book in paperback to join my shelves because I mean look at that cover it's stunning !!!
Why!!!!?? After Psychos in Love, I despised the guys. Kronos, Hypnos and Ayres were not redeemable in my book. Haydes was the one I was rooting for - he was the one I wanted to save Charlotte. WELL… Psychos Take Love shot that all to hell.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 I wouldn’t say that S. J. Ransom has redeemed anyone - maybe she will by the end of the next book though. Kronos, Hypnos and Ayres show some softer sides in this book, but I wouldn’t call it a redemption. The biggest shock (AND IT IS A SHOCK!!!) is Haydes. I WAS CHEERING FOR YOU!!!!! I knew deep down he had some kind of issues, but I somehow convinced myself that he was the “good” guy. I was duped! If you can get over that disappointment, the cliffy will make you toss your kindle across the room.
Please remember this is a VERY dark series with a slew of triggers. Read the list before diving in - if your cool with it, enjoy the depravity!
This book is not for the faint of heart amazing story telling. And a big cliffy at the end in preparation for book 3.
If you are reading this book, do not report for you own stupidity of not reading the triggers. It is pitch black when it comes to those.
Only complaint as with the last book. It was too fast paced. I wish S.J. had slowed down and let me enjoy the character development a little bit better. But was an amazing book regardless.
Please check the Trigger warnings- there are quite a few if not all of them, you have been warned ⚠️ You MUST be open-minded and remember this is only fiction. This is the second installment of the Pschos series and again SJ Ransom has left us on a cliffhanger!! As with Pschos in Love this book is fast paced, full of dark spice and definitely not for the faint of heart. Now let's see if this one gets banned like PIL!
Received this as an arc for my honest review. First and foremost read the triggers. This book had a lot of them. This continues the story of power Brothers and Charlotte from book one. This as a lot of spicy and delicious men. Charlotte is learning her place among the brothers and come to term of her situation when it change yet again. She kidnapped a second time by who well you have to read to find out. Can't wait for book 3.
Ok where do I start!!?? This book was better than the first because we start to get deep into the plot. Book 1 left us on a cliffhanger with Charlotte escaping. Damn, this girl cannot catch a break! She did escape but didnt get far. Then she gets saved...well so we think. Haydes pissed me off so bad!! We really start to see how deeply stockholm syndrome can affect someone. Poor Charlotte...she needs a serious HEA!!! But....this book ended on a cliffhanger too!! Ugh!
100% read trigger warnings. Honestly wow I did not see all of that coming. First book you absolutely hate the psychos and want her to be rescued and second book you want her to stay with them. Poor charlotte though things started getting better and went to crap again :( I can't wait for the third book to find out what happens next.
A great addition to the series! Just a heads up: ends in a cliffhanger and it is DARK!! Make sure you read the trigger warnings before starting the series.
I love the woman Charlotte is becoming. She is strong and she's a survivor.
The cliffhanger has me screaming into the void until the next book comes out.
What a crazy ride! This book is just as fast paced as the first, with all the triggers…be warned lol. Could The guys be developing a soft spot for little Charlotte? Read and find out! Unfortunately, some people aren’t who they seem to be and she has to pay the price. Another nasty cliffy!
Holy darkness batman this book is incredible. It’s hot and heavy and dark and depraved and the story line is PERFECT!! If you like really dark pretty sick things, this book is for you!! Can’t wait for book 3!
Love the second book in this series! It picks immediately after the first book ends and continues the wild ride of Charlotte and the Psychos. This book is slightly darker than the first, in my opinion.
The cliffhanger !?! Cannot wait for the next book in this series! So many twists and turns! Absolutely loved this book! 🖤
I just wanna start out by saying CHECK. YOUR. TRIGGER. WARNINGS!!!!! ⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️ This book literally had them all!!! So don’t go complaining that y’all were not sufficiently warned in advance!!
With that being said, Book 2 is a wild ride of ups and downs and sideways and flips and turns and twists that will knock you on your ass and have you coming back for more. After Charlotte escapes the brothers in the first book, only to be recaptured in the 2nd, her punishments are immediate and gut wrenching. From the moment she’s captured on the dock and then picked up by Kronos, to the moment she is taken back to the brothers new hideout, she is severely punished. Excruciatingly so by Hypnos. But you also see the dynamic of the group change afterwards. The effect Charlotte has on each of them is changing them all in ways they never thought even remotely possible. There is group play involved as well as MM action.
But if you think that’s where things start improving, WRONG!! When Charlotte is taken from them, the things she endures is worse than anything the Psychos could’ve ever put her through. And while I wasn’t impressed with her overall demeanor in the first book, my girl rises to the challenge in book 2 and finally shows us she absolutely has a backbone!! *The cliffhanger at the end will leave you anxiously awaiting the 3rd book!*
You will need to decompress after everything is said and done to get your thoughts in order. This is a very very dark romance, but do not think there’s something wrong with you for honestly liking this book. It is just fiction, and in no way means that you are a horrible person for liking it. Let your mind compartmentalize what’s going on between your mind, heart, and body. Take as much time as you need in order to come to grips with how you’re feeling about everything that happens (the author is amazing and is always there if you have questions or need to talk some things through). Good luck!! 🖤
First and foremost: Read the Triggers!!! This book starts off right where the first left off and doesn’t let you take a breath until the very end. It is wall-to-wall action and just flies! Charlotte is struggling with her emerging feelings, knowing that they’re not right but not being able to deny them. Our psychos continue to be some of the kinkiest MFs in the world, but are also starting to question why they are starting to feel the warm and fuzzies for Charlotte. They’re by no means best boyfriend in the world material, but they wouldn’t be Psychos if they were. But coming in to take the twisted bastard prize this book is Haydes. He definitely started out as the righteous man in her eyes, but quickly became the villain of the story. Whether or not he’s doing it for the right reason, he’s just as bad, if not worse as the Psychos he hates so much in the end. And that cliffhanger . . . Omg . . .
I don't even know where to start with this book. To say this story takes you down a dark hole and leaves you there is an understatement. I went through so many emotions almost chapter to chapter. Charlotte starts off in trouble and it doesn't stop. You will love her, want to shake her and cry for her. The guys, if you thought they were bad in book 1, then you better buckle up because they are not happy and let Charlotte know it. With all that, by the end, you will still want to hate them but end up loving them instead. It's a testament to Ms. Ransom's writing and vivid imagination that you will actually like such despicable characters and you actually start rooting for some of them to pull through and the cliffhanger will leave you reeling and wanting to scream at the book while wishing book 3 was already out.
Another great dark RH from SJ Ransom. Check trigger warnings before reading and don’t report the book because it’s dark and you have issues with it. Hence the warnings. Very fast paced, attention grabber, I’m glad to know what charlotte chose from the cliffhanger with the first book. Great cliffhanger on this one too. It makes me what to know more and find out what’s happening next
Please check trigger Warnings! Haydes has taken Charlotte, but he is not who she thought he was. He was her protector and someone she could call on but he is a worse monster than Kronos, Hypnos, and Ayres were. The guys are struggling to hold it together and to find her.
Oh my goodness! Oh my goodness! Oh my goodness! how dare you leave me with that cliffhanger… Also when is the next book coming out? Because you have me hooked and I am addicted to this series and these characters. I need more ASAP. Pretty please, pretty pretty please!
This story just keeps getting more intense and darker the more it unfolds.
This book picks right up where the last book has ended and it is all kinds of craziness to keep you glued till the very end.
The Power brothers are back to their depraved acts with Charlotte but things are starting to change for them all this time around. Haydes becomes more of a threat to them and Charlotte. Just know this book deals with some tabooish dark issues so make sure you check TW. Otherwise just enjoy this insanely dark world!
I have been completely pulled into this insanely addictive dark world where Charlotte is used however each man decides. This book definitely continues on with the depravity from the first, but with a little more love than hate now going to Charlotte. Things will start to unravel only to bring more questions and the cliffhanger is an epic one once again.
If you love dark romance with a taboo aspect then this would be a great book to grab. I had the pleasure of reading it early and was completely riveted by the strength of Charlotte and the need for her to be controlled by each man she's with. This is definitely a intense, dark, and depraved book, but has a lot of story from past to present regarding Charlotte and her guys. Buckle up on this one because there will be a ton of things happening at rapid speed. Highly recommend this one! Can't wait to see where the next book will go!
Psychos take love picks up where we are left off. Charlotte tries to get away from the Powers brothers. But they get her back and deal more damage to her. But they have now fall in love with her and she gets take away from them by David “Haydes”. Just when she thinks she is safe, she finds out different. Haydes is definitely worse than the brothers and, in the end, we are left with another cliffhanger that leaves us wondering if Charlotte and brothers will find their way back together or will she is finally get free from everyone? I can’t wait for the next book.
Love me some psychos! This was a great second installment that actually had me a bit stressed in the best way possible. Thus author has definitely become a favorite of mine, and I am looking forward to book 3 and anything else she writes!
Highly recommend if you want some dark and dirty boys along with a great plot!
