“FAST BREAK is a gripping tale of social and political intrigue, set against the sweltering milieu of Florida's Panhandle. The shocking twists in this legal thriller come fast and furious.” A great read!— Joseph Souza, author of The Neighbor .

“Lewis combines crisp writing, honest dialogue, nuanced and layered plotting, and intriguing and complex characters to maximum advantage in this compelling tale of courtroom intrigue and murder. With a startling ending which seems inevitable, and yet also surprising, Fast Break is a five-star winner from an author at the top of his game.”— Claire Matturro, author of Skinny-Dipping and The Smuggler's Daughter.

“A well-executed fast break is not only a work of art and a thing of beauty; it is wonderfully symbolic of a life in motion, fast, furious, but hopefully, under control. It requires a combination of finely tuned spatial skills, depth perception, speed, balance, and instinct; a mind’s eye that lets you see even that which is not in your line of sight.

And I loved to be in the middle of it.”

This is a really good book. And I don’t say that because the events take place in Tallahassee, my home for 28 years. Or that my name is in the acknowledgements for my role in reviewing draft chapters. This is an interesting, suspenseful story that provides a lot of insight into judges, lawyers, the law and the judicial system in Florida.

Terry writes well and, due to his day job as a trial judge, has a good command of the interesting details of cases and the process by which crimes are handled by the prosecuting attorneys and defense lawyers. There is also an interesting subplot about domestic abuse.
