Bronwyn Kincaid loves being independent and single but most especially she loves her job as a Wiccan Healer. Using her power to heal people’s pain completes her. But after the events of Samhain when she helped her best friend, Skye Collins, defeat evil witch Morrigan and stop the Darkness, powers that once brought her so much solace now have a dangerous edge. Which is a big problem given sexy loner Were, River Collins, desperately needs her help.
River can’t trust himself. After the night Morrigan was defeated, his wolf turned into a Beast that longs to hunt and kill. Terrified of what he might do, he pushes everyone away. Except, Bronwyn, won’t be pushed. A light in his tortured soul, she is determined to figure out why his wolf has become a creature of nightmares. And by the Moon, he can’t make her stop, especially as it seems to help her to learn about her new power.
However, the evil Darkness that hunts the Were and their Covens wants to use River and Bronwyn’s burgeoning powers to destroy everything they’ve both come to hold dear. But how can they stop it when they can’t even control what is drawing them to its side?
If you love stories about tortured heroes, fated mates, hot shifters, witches coming into their power and all with a large dollop of sexy romance, then the award nominated Moon Bound is for you.

Usually this type of book is right down my alley and I just devour them in 2-3 days. It took me more than a month to finish Moon Bound. I found it boring and tedious and utterly predictable. The only different thing was the place but with so little context it took me about 2/3 of the book to realize it's set in Australia. The female lead - Bronwyn - annoyed me more often than not and I found myself urging her to grow a backbone and confront the people in her life every couple of pages. Had she done that this book could have been shortened by at least a third. Add to it ridiculous statements straight out of a bodice ripper and I was gritting my teeth throughout most of the book. Same goes for River, the male lead, whom I wanted to smack upside the head for his constant morose bemoaning of his fate. Add to it the unnecessary long descriptions and I was tempted to just give it up and move on to something else.
I really expected to like this book and maybe it's my current mood or the fact I'm rereading some of the very best UF series at the moment but I just couldn't get into this. I couldn't muster even a shred of sympathy for the characters and as a result didn't form any emotional attachment. Personally I wouldn't continue the series. Maybe if I had picked it up at another time I would have been raving how much I love it but now I just couldn't feel it.
My Thoughts - 4 out of 5 Unicorns - I really liked it!!! ***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! Yes, I got a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book! I did buy this book.
This is the 2nd book in the series, and it is for adults only due to the violence and steamy content. I think you really should read the books in order to understand the ins and outs of this world and the history.
This is River’s and Bron’s story! I’m glad he prevailed against the Darkness. I am really found of both River and Bron, and they both fit together. I love how artistic he is with his gardens and making them stars for whoever he makes them for. Bron always gives her all to those in her care. She doubts herself, and this causes some trouble until she gets some help. I really enjoyed this story, and can’t wait to read the next story to see what happens next!
I recommend this unique Were-world to any paranormal fan who love shifters and magic mixed with mate love! I wonder who’s story is next!!
When healer Bron agreed to help her friend and powerful witch, Skye Collins, stop an evil being obsessed with stealing their magic, she never expected a powerful boost to her own magic in return. If she can just gain control of it, Bron knows she can help heal Skye’s twin brother, River. And the attraction she has for him is so not the reason she wants to help, right?
River’s soul fractured the night he and his twin were almost kidnapped when they were children. Those monsters did something to him that night, changed him, and opened him up to true evil. He spent his formative years in a drugged state of repression, but now the evil within is growing stronger, longing to be free. It’s so hungry for destruction, so thirsty for blood, River’s afraid it will gain control and destroy everything and everyone he loves, especially the one woman who’s sworn to make him whole again – Bron.
With River so desperate to keep his distance, and Bron determined to get close enough to help, it takes more than a battle of stubbornness and determination to keep these two apart – a battle that both good and evil are determined to win.
Bron and River’s story tugs at more than just your heart, it pulls at your soul. These two have so much to learn about love and relationships, to trust again, and be open to the truth that sometimes you want to shake them and say, ‘get on with it already.’ But such things take time, and Ms Leighton allows her characters to stumble and fall before they find their way to the truth. I'm looking forward to book 3. :)
I have to say that the Pack Bound series is off to a great start, the first book Pack Bound was an exciting read and now Moon Bound is one thrilling read that had me glued to the pages. Bronwyn and River are strong, compelling characters that readers can’t help but fall for and cheer them on toward their happily ever after, their romance is full of emotional turbulence and the story invokes a gamete of feelings in readers throughout. The romance is sweet and the chemistry between Bronwyn and River has sparks flying but due to several issues has them both turning away which certainly keeps readers filled with suspense.
The plot is fast paced and full of thrills, intrigue and danger with the pack’s enemies coming back to try and destroy them once again adding suspense and excitement to story while also keeping reading readers on the edge of their seat with anticipation of just what those enemies will do next and what the Pack will do in retaliation. Oh and the antagonist is one that still sends shivers down my spine and has me continually trying to guess just what she is going to come up with next.
The Pack Bound world is definitely fascinating and full of intrigue which ensures that I am going to keep coming back for more, but while I find some things unexpected, there are a couple of predictable elements but not enough to keep me from enjoying the story and I can’t wait to visit with Pack McVale again in Shifter Bound which will be released in April.
Bron is the Pack Healer that is misusing her powers because she is trying too much to be like her Grandmother and because she lacks self-confidence as her own mother treats her like she is wasting her time and embarrassing her father, the surgeon and she, her own mother. River is Skye's brother who, as a Were is on the brink of becoming Feral, if not treated properly. He has been taken over, in part, by a darkness that, if not destroyed, will kill, not only him, but all the people around him. As Skye's friend, Bron is asked to treat River and cure him. The author masterfully creates a story that is gripping from beginning to end. In fact, the book is hard to put down. The plot unites Love, fierce loyalty, adventure, betrayal, manipulation by evil and, a series of twists and turns that makes the reader root for Bron, River, and even Eloise the spy who has been brainwashed. Which craft paranormal shape shifters, Spirit communication and, Pack Unity make this book a 5 Stars rated page-turner.
Fighting against the evil witch Morrigan and the Darkness took a toll on everyone involved, most especially Bronwyn Kincaid and River Collins. Bronwyn loves being a healer and her skills are needed for River as evil inside of him is gaining control over him. He is afraid if he loses that control of himself, he will hurt those he loves, including his twin sister, Skye. Although Bronwyn knows her own magic was made stronger and with a dangerous edge now, she needs to gain control to be able to effectively use it. Can she help River? Or will he push her away for her own safety? And can the two of them hold back the evil Darkness that wants to use them to destroy those who mean so much to them?
This is the second book in the series and firstly you need to know that it’s not a standalone and you absolutely have to read book one first. Ok now I’ve said that I can tell you just how brilliant this series is. There isn’t as much steam in this book but the story leads on exactly from where the first book finishes and poor River goes through hell in the majority of this book. Bronwyn is determined to save him, oh and of course Morrigan doing what she does best. The writing is brilliant, the world created is getting better and better and I seriously can’t wait to see what is in store for the pack.

This is the sort of book that grips you from the start and wont let you put it down. Most books can be read as stand alones but this is one that I would say is better read as part of a series and in the right order. It is action packed from start to finish but if you are looking for a light hearted shifter romance this is not it It is, however , a very well written story that will keep you riveted and does have several twists that you wont see coming so for a brilliant series of paranormals you cant go wrong with this series.

This is book 2 of the Pack Bound series with the Werewolves and Witches fighting evil and break the ancient curse. This book is the story for Bronwyn and River as the beast needs to be drawn out of River. This is a good paranormal that has two groups fighting together to get rid of the evil that has engulfed the pack for so long. There are at least two more books in the series. Fans of the paranormal will love this story. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.
The story continues with Morrigan ramping up her desire to use River to end the ware population. Will Bron, Shelly and Skye be able to stop Morrigan and her renegade coven of witches before she manages to corrupt River? Will Bron ever be able to fully embrace her power and mate fully with River? Book 2 is full of action, twists and turns that will keep you guessing up to the end! To be continued in Book #3!.

If you thought the first book in this series was good, book 2 is just as good. This is the story of Bronwyn and River. Bronwyn has doubts as has River but they have to find a way past them to defeat Morrigan and the Darkness that is within River. Old secrets come to light that have a massive impact on the entire pack. But love of each other together with the love of the pack might just help them. I couldn't put this book down and really can't wait for the next one in this series.

The continuing saga of the Pack Bound series, Moon Bound bring us Wiccan Healer-Witch Bronwyn Kincaid and Wolf, River Collins. This is a great addition to the series with a fabulous storyline and engaging character I found myself glued intently throughout. I will be recommending this book and series to readers and look forward to reading more
Moon Bound is the second book in Leisl Leighton’s Pack Bound series and this story is definitely far better than book one. A fabulous storyline, with exciting characters and an intensity that leads the reader to want so much more.
I’m absolutely looking forward to the next book in this wonderful series.
Another great book to the Pack Bound series! The author brings strong characters and weaves an interesting and intense storyline. It's well written with perfectly painted scenes, moves fluidly and is a terrific read. I can't wait for the next book.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
It's a fast-paced book that will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. There's action, adventure, drama, danger, suspense, twist/turns, enemies, survival, intrigue, lust and love. Yes, and I forgot to mention magic.

Second book just as good as the first! The world building continues to enthrall, the storyline is action packed and exciting, gripping and entertaining and I just couldn’t put it down. Filled with danger and suspense and twists and turns to keep you guessing as the story continues on from book one. It’s a great paranormal read and a great continuation.
Interesting world building. River has darkness and a beast inside of him. Bron is a healer and his mate. I liked how we got to see Skye and Jason who were in the first book.
I loved the bron and river story , always love a good witch story , I actually cried at the end ,,, and that has never happened before ,, ok on to the next one !!
As per usual with me I read this out of order despite having the first book. There is enough in this book to somewhat explain what the first one was about - enough so that you aren't lost.
I love this book. The characters develop as the plot goes on which is good to me. It helps you keep wanting to read. River and Bron are a great couple. I relate to River a bit as I block everyone from me not to see whats really there. Bron needs to find herself to become what she was meant to be and to save River from himself & the Darkness. River needs to learn to let others in to save himself and Bron.
I received this book from netgalley.com for a honest review.
Moon Bound, book two in the Pack Bound series, by Leisl Leighton is a one hell of a compelling story. Bronwyn and River are such rich and vibrant characters and their story is compelling. I struggled to put this book down as I was so invested in the characters and their fight against the Darkness.
This was a lovely light read where the evil hiding inside our hero’s body cannot fight the power of love. We meet characters of the previous book so there is continuity which this book indicates will continue into the next in the series.
Release Day Review! Moon Bound (Pack Bound #2) Leisl Leighton!
Only her love can heal his broken soul... Five hundred years ago, facing extinction, a group of powerful witches united to create a pact with the Were to save witch-kind. The pact expelled an ancient evil, known only as the Darkness, that was blocking the Were from their wolves. With the Darkness destroyed, the Packs and their Covens grew strong as they thrived beside each other in their brand-new world.
But the Darkness was not destroyed. Wiccan Healer-Witch Bronwyn Kincaid wants a quiet life. Her new powers have other ideas. Her increased healing magic and empathy mean she can’t ignore the plight of River Collins, a wolf brought up thinking the animal inside him is an evil he must forever suppress. If Bronwyn can’t control her powers and help River accept his wolf, the evil Darkness that hunts the Were will use them to destroy those they love.

I received a copy of Moon Bound by Leisl Leighton from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I was intrigued by the summary and wanted to like this novel, but it was a chore to keep reading at times. The characters and threads of plot could have been pulled together better (more linear). There were flashes of real goodness, but then the story would get bogged down or off track.
Also, the primary characters' interactions seemed stilted and did not have great chemistry together.
I would try reading another book by Leisl Leighton to see if a future novel would improve in pacing and character development, but I wouldn't re-read this novel.
I have come to love this series and can't wait to read more of it either. These are the first books of Leisl that I have read and can't wait to read more work. Strong characters and a great story line. Can't wait to read the next installment of this series. You will love reading River and Bronwyn's story.
