... The legend vs. the hunter.
Because I've able to finish it, I gave it two stars.
Tell me, do I have to use a magnifying glass or something, in order for me to see even at least a few of those things I couldn't notice about this book that others fuss about? Because if that'll be the solution, then I'll purchase a magnifying glass not even Jeff Bezos can afford. I'll even sell my soul to the devil to afford that thing. Actually, I couldn't believe myself that I managed to finish this one. It was an achievement. A really big achievement. It was an extra points coming from a reader who dnf most of the bully-related books he came across with. But I tried searching, looking for a new winner. There's no harm in trying, right? But I have to ask, because I couldn't understand every single thing about these books. And yet, somehow, they managed to collect a jaw-dropping pile of shining, shimmering, splendid ratings and reviews.

This book contains most of the elements I've come to hate about romance. Annoying drama. Cliché stereotypes hero and heroine. And overfamiliar plotline. It wasn't new that the heroine annoyed me to death because she was utterly stupid and perpetually used her "vag" instead of her "brain." She was one of those heroines that just takes it all, and that "no" actually means "yes." She was one of those heroines that hates the hero but always end up in bed with him. She was one of those heroines that blames the hero because he was the reason her life was ruined even though she had consented everything he did. And she was one of those heroines that realizes what she did was a mistake but foolishly repeatedly did it all again. And her reason? "She felt like she was guilty of what happened and took all the blame because she felt like she deserved it," even she mentioned a lot of times that she wasn't responsible of every damn thing. I had to sit, stop, and wonder for literally hours how this kind of heroines even liked.
I have nothing to say about the writing. It was hands-down captivating. The story was absolutely well-written. But, it wasn't enough for me to continue the series. I don't know if I have the strength of mind, heart, and will, to tolerate the heroine's self-inflicted misery and stupidity again, and the massive lack of communication between them. It's a series, I know, and there's growth and improvement to come. But first impression is very important for me. Believe me or not, but after that cliffhanger and another drama to come? After that another misunderstanding? Another bullshit? Lots of smut but not enough plot? Capital N.O.P.E.
Maybe, declaring defeat in this genre would be a great idea. I think I should accept the fact that I will die knowing that bully romances isn't really for me.

The Revenge You Seek is book 1 in the Maddison Kings University series, but don't skip out on reading the prequel, The Mistakes You Make. In my opinion, it's a piece of the puzzle you don't want to miss. I say puzzle, because that's exactly what this series feels like. It's a Kane Legend and Scarlett Hunter puzzle the author is allowing us to put together slowly but surely.
Each book gives us a little more insight into the characters and the events that have lead them to where they are now. There is so much pain, passion, devastation, and toxicity between them. It's intense, and in the beginning, we're kind of just dropped into it without knowing why any of it exists.
I can already tell this is going to be an extremely bingeable series. The author has you constantly intrigued and trying to guess what the hell is going on. She gives you the slightest of clues here and there before dropping a bomb at the end that leaves you dying to know more. It feels like you're given crumbs the whole way through, and at the end, someone tosses you the whole damn loaf.
Meanwhile, you're watching in utter fascination, because you have no idea why the hero and heroine are drawn to each other the way they are. Scarlett a.k.a. Letty lets Kane degrade her again and again, and while those scenes are hot, you're seriously wondering if somebody needs to knock some fucking sense into her. Without the whole story, you're just hanging on for the ride and hoping for the best!
Bottom line, Tracy Lorraine has me hooked! I'm here for all the crazy, and I'm going to keep coming back for more. I flew through this book and it's predecessor in record time. Her writing is addictive, and I didn't want to stop reading once I started. I need the next book like yesterday! Thankfully, it's coming out later this month, so we won't have to wait too long.
Wait! I don't know what I was thinking! I can't conclude this review without mentioning Luca and Leon, two of the side characters that stole my heart. They almost make me wish Letty could have all three of the guys for herself. If Kane's hold on her wasn't so strong, I would hold onto hope, but unfortunately, nobody comes close to Kane in Letty's eyes. I hope we get to see Luca and Leon's happy ending at some point in the future. My babies deserve it!

STORY:
I found this to be ok. A couple of reasons for me, it wasn’t that dark and I didn’t get a feel of bully romance based on the title. It felt more like a mystery/suspense with an enemies to lovers theme. I also take into consideration that this is a trilogy so assessing the first book is tricky when you know there is more to come. It wasn’t an OMG book for me, but it wasn’t bad either.
Chapter 1 to 10 was ok. The author was establishing the main characters and their surroundings and friends. Up front, Kane and Letty does not actually have any major scenes together. By chapter 11 it started having a pulse as you are really seeing the interaction between Kane and Letty. As the story progress, it went in and out of ok to excitement to ok as you are seeing layers of drama peeling away.
Letty was ok in this story. One of the reasons it didn’t feel like a bully romance in book 1, she had all these sexy guys protecting her. The author also had me discombobulated with the connection between Letty and the Dunn twins. It felt like it teetered on a RH read.
Kane came off angry all the time, morning, noon and night. That’s not a bad thing as it gave me a good read in certain scenes.
CHEMISTRY:
Sexually, Kane and Letty were fire for me. It gets put in the box of I hate you sex, hence, why it felt more like an enemies to lovers theme. They definitely had my pulse beating with their sex scenes. Kane not able to get enough and Letty can’t help herself getting weak in the knees for Kane.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS:
There are secondary characters that I found interesting. I listen to the audio so I might spell these names incorrectly.
Dunn Twins - they seem to be main characters for me apart from Letty and Kane. They are sexy, and I almost wanted something to happen with Letty (almost).
Ella - One of Letty’s roommate. I like her I wondered if she has some sexual connection with Micha another roommate.
There were other characters like Letty’s brother didn’t see much of him. Colton, hangs around the Dunn twins and the others that are around Kane.
OVERALL, it was ok for me. The drama was there and sexual chemistry was there. My mind came prepared for Dark Bully but I don’t feel that’s what I got.

That's a Whole Lotta... WOW
Kane and Letty have the epitome of an unhealthy relationship. He's a bully and forces relations between them. To a degree, she craves what he does but she's also living in the fear of what happens next.
A couple of warnings: there are triggers. There are drugs. Things end with a cliffhanger.
I haven't read any of the Rosewood High series but plenty of references are made to it. Normally, I'd make a reference to how I've enjoyed this book despite not having read the lead-in series but I'm not sure enjoyed is the right word. I liked it and I'm looking forward to seeing where things continue to go with these two but it's so dark that I have trouble associating a word related to something happy to describe it as such.
Reading this without Rosewood High has left me a little intrigued about that series but it wasn't necessary to figure out what's going on here. Tracy does a good job of providing enough info for it to make sense. I do recommend reading the prequel, though. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

My interest in this is definitely not piqued.
There is nothing I dislike better than college themed books with grown adults acting juvenile, wasting my time by participating in meaningless conversations.
The author simply tells too much and the conclusion does not make sense. The entire premise of the book was a circular motion of nothing.
The details about Letty are too vague and hard to follow, so it is difficult to even grasp why she is so jumpy around Kane and why he is in lust with her.
I don't want to engage in this naivety and one-sided conversation with one-sentence dialogue any longer.
Then there's Letty. She has some kind of self-conscious attitude about her body, but for some reason everyone wants her and wants to protect her.
This begs the question, why? It's so confusing and I can't keep track of all the names and people.
The relationship between Kane and Letty is forced and has no chemistry! No matter how they manage to scrape together in this book between enemies and lovers, it is a nonsensical snooze.
The target audience for this book clearly is not me, so I've not bothered to read any of the other books in the series.
A thin storyline and a lack of plot marred this poorly written book.
As far as I am concerned, I do not recommend reading this book.

Well this surely is an explosive beginning for this brand new series .
I don’t even know where to begin .
My emotions are currently all around the place.
This book is just the start of a never-ending rollercoaster of emotions.
Kane is definitely something else. I don’t even know how to describe him. But he is definitely the bad boy your mum always warned you to stay away from. For sure.
His life hasn’t been easy , from where he came from the only way to survive is by being bad and having strong walls around you that no one can surpass .
But now he finally has the opportunity for a good future , college and football .
“The crack of electricity between us is almost enough to alight the room. I feel it right down to my soul”
What he didn’t expect was to find there her : Poppy Hunter
The girl from his past , the one who broke him.
And now that she’s back he’s not gonna stop until he destroy her . No matter what.
“Threaten me all you like.
You can’t break what’s already broken”
But sometimes there’s something that no one can avoid : Feelings and a burning passion that will consume you from the inside.
The chemistry and the anger were the perfect mix for an explosive story .
And that cliffhanger ?! I’m still speechless , I wasn’t prepared for that.
I need the next book like right now!
I gave it 4.5 stars

Love the hate/love relationship between Letty and Kane. These two have a history dating back high school which just adds to the tension between them. Be prepared for a heck of a cliffhanger.

Plot Summary :
Letty and Kane have always been at each other's throats. Well , sort of. They used to be friends until a simple mistake caused Kane to turn on Letty and from that moment he has been making her life hell. Nothing she says is going to stop him and there is no way he is stopping now. After years of hate and a forbidden night later , they both are back together now.
But things are not the same. Letty is changed. She is different with her whole personality broken. Kane is curious as to why she has that light missing from her eyes and he still can’t stop wanting her. Only if he knew that he was somehow responsible for that missing light and the whole he played in destroying her life.
Overall Opinion :
I absolutely loved this book! I have always been a huge fan of Tracy’s books but this one clearly is my most fav one. I have been waiting for Kane for like months , ever since I met him in his brother’s book. I knew that his and Letty’s book was going to be extremely explosive and the author did not disappoint me for sure!
Kane is the best Anti Hero ever and I am going crazy for the next installment of this series. The ending blew my mind! I sort of saw that one coming but the way Tracy wrote it , holy shit! So freaking amazing!
Letty was the perfect counterpart to Kane and I can’t wait for their story to progress. From that ending , I know that their story is not going to be an easy one but seeing the obsessive need these two have for each other I just know that it will be full of hate and love both! A must read for all the Dark romance lovers out there. If you are a huge fan of Dark Bully romances Like me , then make sure that you don't miss this one.

This was my first Tracy Lorraine book, and now I'm going back to devour every single one of her other books! Her storytelling style is addictive.
I was hooked from the start and with each page I turned, I had more and more questions I was dying to find the answers to. What happened in the past to make Kane want revenge on Scarlett so badly? What happened to Scarlett over the last 18 months that made her so damaged? Why are these two people so undeniably drawn to each other?
This story is dark and dangerous, like the hero...my favorite kind. Once I started reading, I couldn't stop. I ignored the world to plow through the pages.
And when I got to the end...well, let's just say my Kindle is lucky to have survived. I was so engrossed with what I was reading, I kept trying to turn the page when it was over.
The book took me on a major feels trip, and I can't wait for the next installment so can go back for more.

If you want to learn how to rip a good book into pieces or throw it down the gutter just follow into the "print" steps of Tracy Lorraine. I guarantee you you'd f*uck up even the best of books!
That said I am going to jam my 3 book review into one.
When I first got my hand on this series especially starting off with the novella I was so hyped that I finally found a series similar to Boys of Tommen. And to be honest Book 1 started perfect with hints of bully romance, past traumas, heartache, and shady lives.
Kane is a typical bully gangster with possessive tendencies (just my kind of dark romance MMC). You can feel from the beginning his obsession with Scarlett and that he has been pining for her for so many years but he has always put himself last in favour of his family and friends and that resulted in the MFC picking his best friend over him and that's when all this hate/obsession dynamic between them started.
Scarlett is not a typical MFC that I would like. She's indecisive, always making the most stupidest decisions but as this book had three installments I thought that her character would eventually evolve into a better version of herself. Especially that they missed out on their first years of college and they're actually in their twenties starting out as freshman.
Their relationship morphed into that of hate fuck, bullying, abuse, mouse/cat chase and provocation. Which is fine if the author kept her unnecessary awakward relationship with her twin bestfriends out of the equation.
You see, Scarlett, or Letty, wanted her best friend Kane to ask her out and not Riley, but as we mentioned before, Kane put himself last and encouraged Riley to go for it. Letty later changes town and thus school breaking Riley's heart in the process because she doesn't want to do long distance. Riley gets hammered and dies in a car accident. Kane obviously blames Letty and that's where their bumpy relationship starts.
In her new school, Letty becomes friends with twins, Luca and Leon. She has a crush on Luca, he doesn't, he's a jock and a womaniser. So drunk at a party she goes and sleeps with the other twin, Leon but they both agree not to mention anything to Luca.
Fast forward in the story, the trio meet again in college. They have an OTT PDA dynamic which is uncomfortable, unrelatable and bordering "cringiness".
She leads them on, especially Luca, but at the same time she finds that Kane is at the same college and she hate fucks him at every turn.
She then finds out that a woman claims to be pregnant with Kane's child. (Kane has been pimped to this woman by his gang boss). Letty loses it, gets drunk and goes to her twin "best friends" and tells them to please make the pain go away and this is how ladies and gentleman the author inserts a totally unnecessary, anticlimactic, shock (more like disgust) factor, stupid decision where the MFC has a threesome with the twins.
Like WHYYYYYYY?!!!!!! Why would anyone do that? For drama? A gasp moment? A lapse in judgement? WHY????
This is the starting scene in Book 3 and this is where the series goes downhill. I would have and should have dnfd but I kept reading because after a novella and 2 books I owed that to myself.
And don't get me started on hypocrisy and double standards. The MFC and her best friend slut shame jersey chasers because they seek hookups with football players. YET the best friend constantly talks about wanting threesomes with the twins, seeks ONS at every party and sleeps with any guy that gives her a bit of attention.
And the MFC instead of growing some titties she goes and has a threesome with her twin best friends, so you telling me these two's behaviour is not borderline slutty! Puhleassseeee...
The MFCs character is still volatile, making one stupid decision after another and frankly her character development is null.
Disappointment doesn't even come close to what I felt after reading book 3. My blood still boils after reading that first scene in Book 3! What a clusterf*ck of regrettable actions.

I'm still sitting here trying to come up with a review, but I knew I needed to get it done. From the first page, to the last, I was hooked! Kane Legend is just AMAZING! I wanted so much more, and I cannot wait for the next book.
Kane and Letty's chemistry is off the freaking charts! The steam that came off these pages, along with the lust/hate relationship was everything I needed to drag me right out of my reading slump.
Lorraine hits the mark and excels at enemies to lovers, and she most certainly dragged me along for the ride. I did message her right after reading those last few sentences to beg and plead for the next book! A steamy, intoxicating, and addictive story that's left me wanting so much more!
If you love your bullies hot and filthy, and your heroines feisty and sassy, you HAVE to read The Revenge You Seek!

2.5 ⭐️s - not enough interaction between the h and H. No explanations for why they are acting so weird. No explanations for why she has an army of men trying to defend her. I skimmed quite a bit. The smexx was hot, I guess. Not feeling the love. Hated the ending. The writing is fine, besides some timeline issues.

summary: Letty moves to MKU after something happens and she had to drop out of Columbia. Kane starts his first year in MKU. She blames him for the things that made her drop out, and he blames her for the reason he had to repeat a year. He hates her, she hates him.... is a bully romance.
I haven't been able to sit and read lately because I'm behind on school work, so when I saw this audiobook had only 6hrs, I had to listen. i wasn't expecting this, this was way darker than I imagined.
i used to read more dark romance, so this might not be that dark, I just haven't read dark books lately.
if you want to read about a messy but sexy ''relationship'', read this, is super short and very addicting.

This book bleeds revenge and that is all Kane wants when he looks at Letty, she has no idea how deep his need for revenge is and how deep his torment is when he steps foot on her campus but she's about to learn quickly. Kane and Lettys tumultuous relationship was everything that I love to read about!

I’m still trying to decompose from what I just read. How in the AF did I give this a 5 star rating and be okay with it, and yet have no regrets. ‘The Revenge you Seek’ was nothing I expected and everything I needed from a a dark bully romance. I has hook from the very beginning. After I read the prequel I new I was in for a twisted ride, yet noting prepared me for this hell of a ride.
Scarlet aka Letty and Kane’s relationship is beyond complicated. The hate and love relationship between this two was off the chart. Kane is an enigma out for revenge and Letty was the perfect prey. When he finally got a hold of her, he did what he promised to do...ruin her for anyone else to come. But fate has other plans when they both end up in the halls MKU. Doing what he does best. He causes havoc on anyone brave enough to come between him and Letty.
I’m still salivating from all the hot kink between this two. The way Kane treated Letty was beyond degrading, yet I could not get enough. I’m still fanning myself from the heat this two produced. The vengeance Kane craves will never be enough, noting will ever be enough when it comes to Letty and with the colossal cliffhanger of an ending. It’s only the tip of the iceberg. My time isn’t close to being done between this two. When it comes to Kane fucking Legend he takes what he wants and damn the consequences.

Tracy Lorraine has done it again, with a brand-new enticing and angst filled romance series, this time a trilogy rather than interconnected standalones. Maddison King University is very loosely connected the Rosewood series, but with brand new characters and set in a neighbouring college town. This is the start of Scarlett Hunter and Kane Legend’s story, and will continue in the next two books, and it’s definitely worth reading the prequel The Mistakes You Make first to get the full perspective of how much they hate each other.
Letty’s life was perfect, until suddenly it wasn’t. She had to leave her dream school, Columbia, and return home to a more local university, Maddison Kings, and is ready to start her life over. She has her close friends, twins Luca and Leon, from high school there to support her, and is quickly welcomed by her dormmates, and she can see herself healing and being happy in her new place, until she runs into the reason her life fell apart, Kane Legend. Kane is new at the school too and had no idea the girl he hates most in the world, and blames for one of the greatest losses in his life, is now a student too. He makes it his mission to make her life hell and will stop at nothing until she pays for everything she’s done. Letty is keeping secrets from Kane, about their shared past, but all she wants to do is move on. Will Kane let her or is there more going on than meets the eye?
In some ways, this is a slow burn, because by the end of the book, there is still so much hate and animosity surrounding these characters, nothing has been resolved and you are on the edge of your seat waiting for the next book to come out in May. But that doesn’t mean that Letty and Kane don’t get hot and heavy at any opportunity they can, they do, in all sorts of places, and it’s one of their main ways at getting their frustration and hate with each other out of their systems.
Kane took a while for me to warm to, because Tracy is yet to explain why he hates Letty so much, it’s one the biggest questions you’re left with. By the end, I was becoming more understanding of his actions, but he still wasn’t my favourite and at times I kind of wanted Letty to end up with one of the other guys in her life. But I am sure that throughout the next two books, Tracy will make me see that Letty and Kane are meant to be. He is from such a dark world he is trying desperately to escape but keeps getting dragged back in to. But as much as he wants to escape that world, he can’t let go of the past, and is constantly trying to get even for what happened. He was a very complex character; one I don’t think we have even scratched the surface on.
Letty was broken at the start of this book, and I think we have only seen the start of her healing process, I can’t wait to see her return to her full feisty and sassy strength, even if she will always be changed. I think she was my favourite characters; how nervous she was about moving to a new university but also how brave to jump in with a new group. I felt for her in terms of being around Luca and Leon, and I can’t help but think there’s more going on three, as much as she claims it’s platonic. I’m looking forward to seeing her grow more and more into her own skin throughout the rest of the trilogy.
Tracy has linked this new series to Rosewood so well, with characters who are related to previous heroes/heroines or have been mentioned in passing in previous books. It keeps you interested because you feel familiar with the setting, but it’s way darker and more angst ridden than the books set in high school. But she has also introduced brand new characters and leaves you wanting more of their stories too, so I can’t wait to see who out of the new group will be getting a book.
The Revenge You Seek is such an incredible start to this new series by Tracy, giving you enough drama, secrets, angst, and steam to hook you into wanting more. I am so excited for the rest of this trilogy and to see how Kane and Letty mend their broken bridges.

I don't know why I waited so long to read this series because as usual I am blown away by reading Tracy's books.
Letty and Kane had a lot of work ahead of them to fight through their past traumas which haunted them both. The hate they had for each was so strong they couldn't see past it enough to notice that they meant so much more to each other than just hating each other. The journey from hate to love was a rocky one and I don't know how many times I asked myself " why do they keep doing this to each other?" "Why is everything stacked against them?" But of course, that's what makes the story of Letty and Kane just so exciting.
I also always love the side characters we get in any of Tracy's Books. The friendship that is more like a chosen family always makes me fall in love with her books even more. I can't get enough and I'm so glad I picked up the Madison Kings University series. I look forward to the next journey with our leading man and woman I have a feeling these books will get better and better as I read on.

As always with this author's books, I read The Revenge You Seek in one sitting. Her books are simply remarkable. Every book is so vastly different, yet the chemistry between the characters is always magnificent.
I suggest reading The Mistakes You Make first (it's free so go and get it). I think it's crucial in order to understand every step of Kane's and Letty's relationship and the decisions they make.
I loved seeing their story come to life as I turned each page. This bully romance had everything that kept me turning the pages. The secrets, lies, drama, and the hotness made the story highly addictive.
Kane and Letty will definitely take you on an emotionally charged journey, so buckle up and enjoy the ride. I can't wait to read more.

This is one dark, twisted, bully, hate, a kind of love triangle and drama filled story that captured my attention right from the start. I was intrigued to read Kane and Letty's story from the end of Legend and the prequel. This does end in a cliffhanger. There is so much chemistry between these two it's explosive. There's a lot going on that catches you attention wanting to know what happened and what's going to happen. Can't wait to get my hands on the next part of their story.

I have loved every book by Tracy Lorraine that I've ever been has been phenomenal, and this is no different!
I absolutely love the way she can tell a story, drawing me in with various emotions and making me both love and hate her characters.

I absolutely love the way she can tell a story, drawing me in with various emotions and making me both love and hate her characters.

Read the whole trilogy...yikes
Oh boy, where do I even begin? I guess let's start from the beginning, ***SPOILERS AHEAD****
In the prequel to this book when Letty and Kane have their first sexual experience we need to call that what it is. Rape. She screams no several times and fights him off of her but is unsuccessful, resulting in Kane raping her in a mud puddle. This isn't sexy or kinky, this is full blown rape and it isn't even the only time he does it. For the first two books the majority of their sexual experiences are non-consenual.
And while on the topic, sex is pretty much the only thing these characters do with each other. If you enjoy characters that get to know each other, communicate and explore each others worlds, this is definitely NOT the book for you because none of that happens at all. The characters in this book talk more about each other to anyone who will listen than they actually talk to each other.
The spicy scenes were also super repetitive. Almost as if the author just copy and pasted the same scene over and over only changing up the location they were in.
As for the characters themselves, I couldn't root for a single one. Kane raping letty, I just couldn't get over. Maybe it was supposed to come off as her playing hard to get but it doesn't come off that way when the inner-monologue is also confirming its non-consenual. Letty is just a manipulating, attention-seeking drama queen. She's constantly putting herself in inappropriate situations and when her friends get upset, she plays the victim.
Overall these two were just toxic and definitely not a couple that I could support.

I noped out of this so quick I had to redownload the book to write a review. I got 18% in and once the "hero" told someone to move from "his" seat and the "heroine" okayed it, I was just done. This is supposed to be college, not high school. And everything is just reading wrong. Was the FMC abused? Why is the MMC so damn cranky? The book already has a level of seemingly needless angst, mystery, and immaturity that I don't have the time or patience for. I'll spend my time reading something with a little more substance.

DNF. The intense hate and sex was off putting. Why would you have sex with a guy who you feel hates you? After the second time this happened I stopped listening. It started off with too many characters. I can put together where the lines are drawn but there is too many people involved. There was a bit of background for Kane but his hating Scarlett is some mystery and I don’t like either of the enough to continue.

This is the first book in the Maddison Kings University Series, it follows the event a year ago. Letty is now decided to transfer to the MU from Colombia Uni. As for Kane unbeknownst to him that he and Letty will cross paths anew. These two didn't end up with a clean slate at the ending of the prequel.
Anyways, I liked this a lot, Kane and Letty's sexual tension is off the charts. I like to see how the story will unfold.

Wow! Just when you think you’ve figured out the plot- it just gets better and better at every turn!!!! The chemistry between letty and kane is ridiculous and their entire world is a labyrinth of unmistakable chaos! Just you wait and read this book! You’ll thank me for it!!!!
