Alex Wolf has managed to blow my mind again. Cain has taken my heart and is in a very close tie for my all time favorite Book Boyfriend in Alex Wolfs cocky suits world.
Caine Reardon is ruthless, demanding, all business and a take no prisoners kind of lawyer, Boss and Business man. He runs a tight ship and is determined to grow his company even more than he already has. He's worked his A$$ off for the last 10 years to get to where he is. Has sacrificed his personal life all for the end goal. To have his law firm be the best in Milwaukee. Everything was in track until she crashed into his life.
Marissa Wilson Graduated top of her class, has her life mapped out and is on her way to greatness. She has her dream internship at the prestigious Law Firm Reardon & Associates. She's truly on cloud nine and is completely focused on being the best intern they've ever seen and show that those Ivy League Graduates got nothing on her. Everything is on the right course, until he causes everything to crash down around her.
Heading to her first day of the dream internship, Marissa is buzzing with excitement. She's breezing through the streets on her bicycle in the cold Milwaukee morning. Loving the crisp clean air and focused on making an amazing first impression. Then it happens, a man steps out right in front of her and causes her to have to Veer off and out from the crosswalk, which caused her to wreck and land in an icy puddle. Her outer winter clothes are ruined and palms scraped up, she is livid. Her fiery temper ignites and she lashes out at the inconsiderate, arrogant, self absorbed man who caused her to crash. There are heated words and his arrogance just fuels her rage.
After making it to the Reardon Building and changing into her office attire she's headed to orientation. Not the last to show up but certainly not the first she's still determined to make a great impression. Her whole career depends on it. When the orientation begins she's notices those eyes and that voice. It's him the jackass that caused her to crash and the name sake of the Firm Mr. Caine Reardon himself. Holy Crap!
Cain is amused and sees the gorgeous spitfire of a woman he "collided" with that morning and is determined to get her hackles raised even more, just because he can of course. He waits to drop the bomb he in fact does recognize her and the fireworks start from there.
They go back and forth bickering and throwing down verbally. This fires up the chemistry neither one can deny and neither can act on.
It's just the face that Cain can help but feel different about her. There's something that has him wanting to throw all caution in the wind and go for it. Only problem is she's completely off limits and he can't jeopardize her career. The desire becomes to much and the craving each of them have is to demanding. It's off the charts hot and they cave to their carnal desires.
They have an amazing secret relationship but life has a way of flipping upside-down when it gets too good it seems and troubles at the office,
jealousy and sabotage brings their Bliss crashing down.
Cain has to find out the truth before it destroys his Firm and the only woman he's ever loved. He is also determined to have it all no matter what the cost.
Cain is off the charts Hot.... I'm talking the spiciest, filthiest, sexiest, fanning the face book of Alex's I've read yet. I'm begging him for more!

I must start this review by saying that I loved Marissa for her attitude. She knew her worth and wouldn't not back down from getting what she wants in life. The banter between her and Cain was at times sizzling hot. The chemistry was off the charts between the two. I've gotten used to sexy times and dirty language but Jesus Christ on a cracker Cain takes the cake.
He was arrogant, ruthless at times, knows where he came from and what took him to achieve his status. I loved the fact that his life wasn’t all blitz and glamour. His family life is more than ideal but I loved him for being there for his brother.
Now here comes the tough part of the review: I was loving this book hard up until the drama that unfolded by the end of the book. I found her reaction to him a bit over the top. I mean I get everything that has happened was really bad but she really didn’t let him explain himself and (in my opinion) she should have been the one to beg for forgiveness. But that was a small bump in the road, because I believe they were good for each other.

Alex Wolf knows how to write gritty romances and he certainly didn’t disappoint here!
I genuinely couldn’t put this book down and read it clean through!

Get ready because Cain Reardon has arrived. Cain is a hardworking attorney who has worked his butt off for years to build his very successful practice. He provides the best and expects the same from his employees and interns. Now let's introduce Marissa Wilson, top of her class, sassy, brilliant and does not back down from a fight if she is right. She has just landed a dream internship and is ready to prove her worth and capabilities. A not so meet cute between Cain and Marissa on the sidewalk and these two have now met but it is only going to get better when she Marissa is one of the new interns at his company. Let's just say the attraction is palpable, forbidden and unstoppable. This couple has wonderfully smart sexy witty banter and I loved being pulled into their world. A small sassy woman is about to bring the big bad alpha to his knees in more than one way!!

I must say that Alex Wolf outdid himself with Cain. Absolutely above and beyond my expectations.
Cain Reardon is at the top of his game. His law practice dominates. And yes, he’s domineering and has a bit of arrogance going on, but he has the goods to back it up. His firm is where interns are fighting for a place to make a start. And one such intern, Marissa Wilson, has caught his attention, both physically and intellectually. She hails from his alma mater and comes highly recommend. She may not have the same background as the other interns, but she has already proven she has what it takes to compete. She’s a mirror image of Cain. She’s earned his attention and respect quickly.
And for these two, the chemistry and attraction are mind blowing. Cain is her boss, he can’t cross that line and endanger his career. Marissa can’t be labeled as sleeping her way to the top. But there’s just something there that can’t be contained. He lets her see his vulnerability and personal life. She lets him take control of her pleasure. Dangerous maybe, but for them it’s almost like a necessity. And alas, obstacles rear their ugly heads and attempt to overthrow this love affair. Are they strong enough to overcome?

I am always excited when I get word there is a new Alex Wolf book on the horizon and Cain was no exception!
Cain is a lawyer and owns his own law practice. He's everything you'd expect; he's cocky, he's domineering, he's a workaholic and he can be a royal jerk. When the new crop of interns show up at the office, the last thing Cain ever expected was for one of the newbies to catch his attention.
Marissa has recently graduated and comes from the same alma mater as Cain. She's excited to be working at this firm in hopes that it will catapult her into the next phase of her career. She never expects to be drawn to her boss, but there is no question there is a pull there she's never experienced before.
Both Cain and Marissa know that being together isn't smart considering the circumstances, but they also know they can't stay away from one another. There are more than enough obstacles for them to deal with, but in the end will they make it?
There was so much I loved about this book. Marissa is a strong woman. She knows how to take care of herself and knows her worth. She also manages to bring out the softer side of Cain, which is wonderful to see and isn't all that easy to do! I also loved how characters from previous books made cameos in the book. That always makes me smile. This is one to pick up for sure!

I love the grittiness and rawness of the romances that Alex Wolf writes. I love that alpha hole and the power dynamic that comes in these stories. Cain has all these things.
The attraction between these two is intense and raw. They are fighting throughout the whole book trying to figure out what works for them. When these two are together they are not just burning up the pages. The chemistry and passion between them is undeniable. Honestly cold shower needed once you are done reading it.
I am all in for Cain and Marissa’s HEA and honestly if you are looking for a quick and dirty read with great characters I highly suggest you give Cain by Alex Wolf a try!

Holy hotness Batman!!!! I think Cain might be the dirtiest, hottest alpha leading man that Alex Wolf has written and I LOVE him. I couldn't put this one down. Cain and Marissa had that instant spark and the story moved fast from the beginning. I loved all the supporting cast in this book especially Jordan and his witty 12 year old self. I really enjoyed how strong Marissa was and how she never backed down to Cain and I think that added to the hotness in their relationship. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book for my honest review.

Amazing. Loved it. Cain and Marissa’s chemistry burns off of the pages. You will love this as much as I have. Everything about this is addictive: the steamy passion, excitement, drama and once you start reading, you never want it to end. Every word draws you in to a story that you will read again and again. I cannot recommend or say enough about this. A must must, captivating, fiery touching, and sensational story. ⭐️🔥🔥🔥⭐️

Alex Wolf delivers another cracker again with this sizzling enemies to lovers romance. I loved Marissa’s go get ‘em, take no prisoners attitude - it’s always inspiring to read strong heroines who know their worth and back themselves thriving in a man’s world. Cain provides the perfect counterpart in this pairing with his domineering, cocky ruthless approach to life - causing the sparks to fly and the trademark witty banter we all love in these stories. Hot, hot, jalapeño hotness ensues; increased by the gradual unveiling of Cain’s vulnerability and protectiveness. The appearance of characters from previous books is always fun, although the I think one of the supporting characters Jordon almost stole the show this time! There was a gritty realness to the relationship between Cain and his family which added depth to the character and increased my enjoyment of the story. As always a pleasure to read, I recommend you pick it up!

"No matter how much I pride myself on discipline, it all flies out the window when Marissa Wilson's involved. She makes me went to break every rule I have and she's currently succeeding."
You know that saying "lead by example?" Well if Cain Reardon had abided by that mantra, we would have had a really boring story. Thank goodness he was a hypocrite because this story was H.O.T.!!!! It doesn't matter that he's breaking his no-fraternization rule, or that he's nearly 15 years older than her, or that she's an intern, these two had chemistry OFF THE CHARTS!!!
Throw in a creepy, inappropriate partner, a twin brother struggling with demons, and the inevitable misunderstanding that requires Cain to do some groveling, and you've got one heck of a story!
I have loved every book I've read by this author. And, let me tell you, no one writes a steamy scene like Mr. Wolf. Trust me, you just might need to take a break to take matters into your own hands, if you get my drift. (Not sure this last part will make it to my Amazon review. We'll see)
Definitely grab this one if you like age-gap or office romance. Heck, even if you don't, grab this one anyway! You won't be disappointed!

I think this mat be my favorite book from the collection that started with Cocky Suits! Cain is a workaholic, cocky, domineering, hot headed, jerk, but he has a soft side that comes out with Marissa, his brother and his nephew, but meets his match when he meets Marissa. She is just as much as a workaholic and is starting as an intern at his law office. There are so many obstacles for these two to overcome for their hea that you won’t be able to put this book dow with the never ending twists! You will be taken on an emotional roller coaster with these two and the chemistry is off the charts hot! Marissa is smart, strong willed, determined with just enough self doubt to make her realistic. As usual the past series are brought in to tie the stories together but only as secondary characters and quick mentions. All I can say is READ THIS BOOK!

I think Marissa and Cain definitely take a top spot as one of my favorites from Alex. I freaking loved the magnetic pull between the two of them and their banter with each other. Such an easy read with a lot packed into the story. Definitely a must read!

What an unexpected delight this book turned out to be. It was witty and realistic and I fell in love with the characters every step of the way. After weeks of watching the Johnny Depp and [She who shall not be mentioned] trial, I've been wanting to read about a lawyer romance. This was perfect.
If someone would have told me that this author was male(I'm really not trying to stereotype here), I would have laughed because I haven't had very good luck finding one that can write a story with steam scenes and not have the story come off as awkward or cringy. This was very well done. I, absolutely, loved the characters (Cain and his brother Cade were hilarious together. Cade almost stole the show a time or two). I'm not sure if this author is going to do stories for the secondary characters, but if he does, then add Cade and Logan to the lists. Now, I need to go back and start reading the back log from this author. I'm glad I took the chance.

Alex has a way of writing his characters that makes them feel authentic, relatable and lovable with just the right dose of cockiness to keep the storyline interesting.
Cain Reardon is cutthroat, demanding, ruthless lawyer and boss. He runs his firm with an iron fist requiring his employees to be their best while he strives to build his business even bigger as he continues to make his firm the best in Milwaukee. He lives and breathes to be the best firm even if it means sacrificing having a life outside of work.
Marissa Wilson graduated the top of her class and was accepted by the prestigious firm Reardon & Associates for her post-grad internship. She worked hard to get this far and is determined to be the best intern they ever had and prove you don't have to go to an Ivy League college to be the best. It was a cold blustering day as she fought to stay warm as she rode her bike to her first day at the firm. Once recognitions sets in on his part he smirks to himself thinking it's going to be fun to rile her up. There is just something about her that he is drawn to and soon they are verbally sparring again when he switches her mentor. The fire and chemistry between them is smoking and soon they begin a secret relationship that seems to good to be real. Just when things feel promising life, work, jealousy and sabotage changes everything. Everything goes topsy-turvy and heartbreak and destruction takes over.
Can they endure when the dust finally settles or will there be too much baggage to survive?
The banter back and forth between them and all the characters were spot on and made the storyline flow beautiful.

Another wonderful read from Alex, I love how his alpha lawyers always have their softer side brought out by the strong women they fall for.

Alex Wolf returns with Cain, and he comes back with a bang. I read his previous book Ethan, and while it was good. It was missing something. Reading Cain, I realized what that something was. Wolf often creates these gritty intense alphas who are border jerks. But there is always something about them that you just want more… Cain returns Wolf to this gritty alpha hole that is blunt and intense. Is dirty but has a sweet side when needed. Is in charge of his life and his career in a way that doesn’t falter.
Marissa is an intern at Cain’s firm… he has an almost out of body experience they meet in his office, and he does what he can to keep his distance. But then he decides it isn’t worth it, because this woman is going to be his. No matter what. Once they take that next step, their lives entwin almost seamlessly. However, when Marissa needs Cain to step up and back her up, he doesn’t. So, she steps back and then some. This story works so well, and Marissa is no shrinking violet. She stands up for herself and then some. I love the strength that she has even when she is falling apart.

Marissa is a very strong female who knows what she wants and also isn't afraid to tell others how it is. She earned a post-grad internship at Reardon and Associates. Cain Reardon is a hot as hell lawyer of his firm. His number one rule is to stay away from the interns but he can't seem to get Marissa out of his mind. Marissa and Cain start an office romance which leaves Marissa wide open to take the fall for something she didn't do by a jealous lawyer of the firm. Cain isn't around to protect Marissa because he is taking care of his twin brother and his family. Will Marissa be able to forgive Cain because of her strong personality? Alex Wolf has done it again in writing a hot work couple story. I appreciate the writing of Marissa as a very strong woman in a so called man's work. She knows what she wants and works hard for it. Fellow author and friend of Alex Wolf, Sloan Howell, took part in this story by writing a bonus epilogue that fit so well and have the ending of the story that it deserved. You are missing out by not reading Alex Wolf's books. Enjoy!

Alex knows how to write a story with magnetic characters. The main characters are goal orientated in what they want. Cain is very successful alpha hot man and lawyer. He is running a successful law firm. This firm is a good stepping stone for interns finding their way. The one rule Cain wants to enforce is don't sleep with the interns, a miss uses of power. Yet when headstrong Marrisa starts her internship Cain feels connected to her. Something new to him. He wants to break every rule when it comes to her. Marrisa doesn't wants this kind of attention. Their ideas go out the window the first day. Game on!!!!! These two push and pull each other in the best ways. Until they can't help the hot sexual feelings that happen. This is mine even when it is a secret. An amazing story about having it all if you are willing to go for it. From chapter one to their HEA in the end!!!!!

Marissa gets a job as an intern at the prestigious law firm, Reardon & Associates. She was recommended by the dean of her school directly to Cain, who was a former student of the same school. Since they NEVER accept non Ivy league interns, she has quite a bit to prove. I loved that she did everything she could to learn what she could even when Cain moves her off a case for her own good. At the time, she doesn't agree, even though he warns her, but as time goes on, she will see he was right to do it.
Cain decides right away that his sights are set on Marissa. He becomes protective of her too. Good lord this was hot! Especially the first time they kiss! Wow!
Besides all that, I loved Cain's relationship with his brother Cade and also his nephew Jordan. No matter what Cade was dealing with Cain did his best to help him.

I loved CAIN because Alex Wolf writes the best arrogant, alpha bosses and this one has it all. Cain has it all together - being the big boss of a great law firm with his name on the door. What makes it such a great story is this all together, successful, driven guy completely loses his self control when intern Marissa shows up.
Cain tosses his years of self discipline and rules about “dating” someone that works for him, and it doesn’t do it half way, either. He becomes one of the steamiest dirty talkers we’ve had the fun reading about since the Collins brothers’ law firm of Chicago.
Marissa and Cain melted my Kindle both with their carnal encounters, but also with their love for each other and their family. I read the story knowing Alex Wolf would give us a passion pair, but was the bonus was seeing Cain being there for his brother.

I really enjoyed the story of Cain and Marissa. They had an unexpected meeting soon to find out that the jerk that she met that morning was not only going to work at the same firm, but he was going to be her boss. Cain was the perfect man - alpha, super hot/sexy, attentive, great brother/uncle, and had a great "big moment" at the end of the book. Marissa is cute, smart, and loyal. She was not looking for anything, but when she literally ran into Cain, that was the start of something really special. I also loved the epilogue at the end written by Sloane. I am missing his joint books with Alex, so this was a nice surprise and one of the best parts of the book because of what happened during that epilogue. I can't wait to read more by Alex, and hopefully Sloane too!

Wow! Sloane was right. This one was a bit dirtier. I loved it! Cain is so commanding, intense, and so, so naughty. His possessiveness is off the charts. Makes the Collins brothers look like choir boys. Marissa is so damn fiery, smart, and is not afraid to call anyone out on their bs. I admit, at one point, I wanted to slap them both. I expected it. It happens every time...The urge to knock some sense into one or both of the characters. You know it's coming, you just don't know what. I love this book. Cain is so rough, dirty and absolutely sinful. If that's your thing...this is definitely for you. Alex definitely hit this one out of the ballpark!

Cain is a hot read. Cain has so many sides of him that will make you melt. I love how he is with his nephew Jordan. The banter between Jordan and Cain just made my heart happy. Cain has this caring side that will make you a little gooey when it comes to how he is with his twin brother Cane. Marissa is smart and doesn't let the fact that she knows what she wants and isn't afraid to be heard about it is refreshing. You feel the pull between Cain and Marissa from the very start. The chemistry is red hot and the banter is fabulous. I loved every moment of this one even the surprise bonus from Sloan Howell. I love where Alex Wolf takes us with his strong lawyer men and the women that have them falling to their knees. I could not put this one down at all. Go one click this one and get to know every side that is Cain now.

Wow! Alex Wolf delivered the spice in this book. Cain and Marissa’s chemistry is instant and intense. Off the charts sizzling hot. 🥵 Cain is the owner of a law firm.. the boss. Marissa an intern at his firm.. an employee. When this hookup is against the rules who is going to tell the boss he is breaking them. The situations these 2 find themselves separately in, are all over the place. And trying to stay in control while falling apart just doesn’t work. I was lucky enough to receive an advance book. Cain is the biggest alpha hole, dominating billionaire ever. I enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read Alex’s next book.
