When things didn't go the way he expected, Hudson does everything to get Parker back, while he battles his own inner demons and finds things from his past resurfacing. Things he wished would just disappear for good.
Follow Hudson and Parker as they fall deeper into obsession, fear, and uncertainty. Because the Obsession never ends...
I truly cannot get enough of this series. The second book of the Within series came to serve and did not leave any crumbs. I cannot even begin to explain how much this book has been on my mind since I finished reading it. The plot twist left me SHOOK and it was one hell of a read that had me awake all night. Dealing with darker themes and painfully real scenarios, the author has also brought awareness to a number of different issues such as PCOS, ASPD and forms of domestic violence, yet does not glorify any of them. by no means a lift-hearted read, and some scenes may leave readers upset, but an absolutely incredible book from start to finish. I do not want to give too much away. Parker finally discovers the truth about the darker, caged side of the man she cannot stop loving. despite numerous anonymous warnings and psychiatric reports, she finds herself still trying to receive love from a man incapable of such emotions. Ending with an incredible plot twist that literally made me sit up and shout WTF at 2am, it is a thoroughly dark read that quickly absorbs you into a darker and more painful world. I truly do recommend this book to everybody, but please check the list of trigger warnings before reading as there are some very dark and upsetting topics included. Appropriately named as this series is my new obsession. i could not put the book down, and it has not left my mind since.
Dear God. A. Briar really messed me up with this one. I'm still in shock. So we'll per ieved and delivered. This is the 2nd book to the With in Series. It is a continuation of our innocent FMC, Parker and my favorite sociopath, Hudson's love story. The novel is correctly titled obsession due to each character's never filling need for each other. The lust and passion is still there along with this constant push and pull with in each other. Thier tragic story is on for the books. I couldn't get enough while screaming at the twists and turns. The ending will shock you. Proceed with caution. 😈☠️🤯
There is no neat and tidy ending because this is a relationship based in reality. I found it unique and satisfying after reading 1000s of pages where the hot billionaire player suddenly changes his ways (after abusing the fmc) and only wants her, unable to look at another woman. And the fmc always gives in. That was a bit disappointing but not outside of the plot. Anyway, it felt like real life. And I appreciate the courage it took to stay with that theme.
Hudson is a broken man, and meeting parker is different from what Hudson usual game is. This is a man with, issues in reliant someone you can count on. Childhood drama and situations with his family members. Parker is amazing character.
This was a good book but all that build up for a weak ending. It was anti climatic. Nothing played out, It was like I’m at 96% oh let me just write quick ending. And there is no redeeming Hudson. In the end I’m glad it’s over. I couldn’t take either of them anymore.
