From the back
“It is time for you, son, to receive power!” The witchdoctor’s mysterious chanting started filling the room and as if on cue the other men stepped closer. One took my right leg and another took my left. Angry tears punched their way from my eyes as I thrashed violently… bound by my own blood to the demonic long before I had the full capacity to choose, I was now locked into the trajectory of becoming Dokojum’s next witchdoctor. I grew to like this idea and accepted my fate. I wasn’t looking to be free; I didn’t even know I was trapped. I was simply a pitiful pawn in the cruelest grasp. However, far beyond the confines of that place was a great purpose and destiny which no human could sabotage. The true story within this book is the astounding way God’s kingdom crashed into my darkness and drew me into the transforming love of Jesus.
This book was so good that I read it out loud to my husband. It's a first-person account of family life in rural Africa which I found to be fascinating. I loved this adventure story about grit, survival, triumph, and the miracle of God's love. For a quick, entertaining read that will stay with you and keep you inspired, I highly recommend this book.
This book is such a great testimony of how God is with us, protecting us, taking care of us, even when we don't know it. The things that this man has gone through his entire life are absolutely unbelievable. God is good, ALL the time!
