All Veer wanted was to stay out of trouble, but that becomes extremely difficult when she is accidentally summoned into a world filled with wonders and just as many dangers–the Dreamrealm. Expect a children's fantasy fiction story that has that is easy to read and fast-paced.
Expect a book that takes the readers into a magical world of pixies and human-like beings.
Expect a book that is short, sweet and exciting.
Expect a story that has humour, adventure, excitement and morals.
Who can read
The book is aimed at children of ages 8 to 12 years. With a good amount of fantasy and attractive writing, this book is basically for all the fantasy story lovers and also children.
My thoughts
'Brains are weird; it's nobody's fault'.
As the book blurb says, the novel revolves around Veer, the main character in this book. The story is mostly about the mysterious incidents which occur in the life of Veer and the implications resulting from those incidents.
In the months of April and May, when the schools are closed for summer and kids enjoy the summer holidays, I decided to pick up children's literature. In this connection, I had an opportunity to read almost many books written for children and written by children. Thus, happened to read Kavika Sharma's - Veer Trivedi and the Dream Realm.
The book is divided into small chapters with cute drawings wherever needed. The amount of humour in the story makes the readers giggle and smile. Veer's travel into the CM as the Dream Hopper through the keychain or the amulet with all the adventure sequences makes the book a lovely read. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.
How is the narration
Engaging and exciting narration is found in the book.
About the characters
The characters are written with ease, strength and space. The story starts with Veer as the narrator, and the other characters like the unicorn, being with a scythe, the labrador dog and others being aptly introduced added beauty to the story.
Writing Style
Penning a fantasy story is no easy task. And, penning a story with lots of adventure, sci-fi elements with fantasia objects is definitely an excellent task. Here, in this story, author Kavika Sharma went deeper into the minds of children and created a world where they can unleash the power of magic and bravery with simple plans and adventure. Here, it is inhuman if Kavika's writing skills are not appreciated.
Grammar & Vocabulary
The language is simple and flowy. The humour elements in the narration are pretty impressive, and this doesn't hinder the story flow but enhances it. The rich and adequate vocabulary also helped the story entice the readers.
What did I like
This story by a young writer is surprisingly attractive and exciting. The author crafted her characters so strong that Veer, the central character, retains the suspense until the end. Also, the storyline is engrossing & interesting. In parallel, the narration is clear and attractive.

Veer Trivedi and the dream realm by Kavika Sharma is an adventure fiction novel for kids that revolves around a little boy named Veer who embarks on a journey into the dream realm after being attacked by a monster. As he journeys into an alternate world called the dream realm, Veer meets many mystical creatures.
The language used by the author is beautiful. It's a pleasure to read such a well-written book. I was immediately drawn into Veer's story, which is an adventure filled with magic, wonder, and danger. I enjoyed getting to know each of his friends as they were introduced into his life; they all have unique personalities that fit together perfectly in their group dynamic. Each character has their own personal journey that you follow alongside them as you read. There is just one thing I didn't like in this book, it is the description of how the monsters die.
I recommend this book to children since it has been written for kids. There is a lot of adventure in this book which might be boring for adults. This story by a youthful essayist is shockingly appealing and exciting.The book is divided into small chapters and story related drawings which will keep you up with the book. I loved the cover and the title suits the book very well. Cocco narrowed his eyes but his waggy tail gave him away. «Duck!» Leo yelled, slamming into the shadow reaper that was running our way . Hey, look at me,» Cocco’s voice snapped me out of it. He looked at me like I was the boogie man and when I raised an eyebrow, he sped across the battlefield to where Cocco and Mellow were fighting that wannabe spider-unicorn. He’s gone, Cocco said.» He put the amulet back in my palm and took my hand in his paws. »

In all fantasy books i expect the plot to be fascinating but at the same time easy to connect especially in kid's fantasy books, moreover it should be infused with brilliant characters and Kavika Sharma has done an impressive job writing it. Magic, Mystery, Intrigue, Unique world building made it a sweeping read for me. I found myself drawn in because of the vivid narration and stayed because if Veer, I was on the edge throughout because of the conflicts, twists and startling quest.The writing is spectacular full of magical, captivating adrenaline pumping journey where Veergets to know her inner strength, grows in confidence fights off creatures and what not. Rich world building, gripping plot that keeps you turning pages after pages till the very end.
In short fast paced, adventurous read with a strong plot and great storytelling made this a 🌟🌟🌟🌟 star read for me and my little nieces

Veer Trivedi and the dream realm: The Ancient Codex by Kavika Sharma is a fantasy fiction which will immediately port you to the land of wonders. magic, spells and mysterious creatures. The plot revolves around Veer Trivedi, a girl quite and shy who tries her best to stay away from any sort of problems but fate has some other plans. She gets into a dream realm where she has to keep fighting and facing a new problem every now and then and her journey begins. The language of story telling is simple and lucid making it easy for my little cousins to enjoy their weekends as well. It gives perfect blend of fun and humour. The inexplicable events are illustrated well enough to leave the readers with vivid imagination of this wonderland pondering over will Veer be the saviour, can she meet the weird expectations of these more weird creatures and so on. These 175 pages are definitely enough to bring up the inner child in you who once believed in Alice and wonderlands. To know what happens to Veer, did she make it to fight in the dream realm to get back in the real world victoriously or did she loose it all, get yourself a copy of this amazing fantasy tour book for a lovely reading in these summer weekends reliving your childhood.

Many such questions will be answered gradually while reading this Fantasy.
The story ahead is adventurous and engrossing.
The characters like Mellow,Leo, Glimmer and Cocco were very interesting.
The entire world of "The Dreamrealm" was full of Wonders,Magic,Spells and it was thrilling.
The illustrations and pictures are very Alluring.

Veer Trivedi and the Dremrealm is an amazing book written by the Kavika Sharma .First I appreciate its cattchy cover ,which is good enough to attract any reader. It is quite handy with only 175 pages .
This is one of fictional and thrilling story i ever read with full of suspense . Story revolve arround Veer Trivedi, as all veer wanted to stay away from the trouble but that became difficult .
Story is full of adventures and suspense. There are many obstacle and nightmare magical creatures in her journey but She tackle all the problems. What more can you expect from a children fantasy read of being written with beginner friendly narration and great fun which can even excite the adults as well.

June 21, 2022Veer Trivedi, the protagonist of the narrative, just wanted to live a peaceful life and remain as far away from problems as possible, but fate has it that she has now been thrown in the Dreamrealm, a world of turmoil, which is rather ironic. As the story progresses, she is now charged with saving all of the realms from impending disaster by completing a journey to find the shards of the Ancient Codex. She must not only overcome numerous hurdles on her quest, but she must also keep an eye out for nightmare creatures who will do everything in their ability to bring the realm to a state of dystopia.
The book's plot moves at a good pace. The book features numerous illustrations that not only enhance the overall story's engagement and interest, but also compliment the world-building process, which is highly impressive. The major characters' character growth is also fantastic. Overall, the book is intriguing and would be a wonderful choice for fans of fantasy adventure literature.

It was exhilarating to explore "The Dreamrealm's" entire world, which was full with wonders, magic, and spells. I have always felt that Fantasy is a complex genre as I have rarely come across fantasy books with simple stories line though I am an avid reader fantasy is one such genre that I try to be as away as possible. But after reading the blurb of this book I thought to give it a try because I felt that it was going to be an easy read and undoubtedly it is an easy read. So this book is about Veer Trivedi who tries to be away from her brother but couldn't and she has landed up in a world called "Dreamrealm." The further story covers how Veer tried to give her best while fighting her obstacles and also about the urge of becoming a hero.

Grab a copy to know more about our young protagonists, how she enters Dreamrealm, whay saving the realm falls on her shoulders, who all help her, who are the bad guys, what's their motive, answer to before and more by reading.
Plot is very entertaining with different realms, vivid characters, magic and sci-fi features. Narration is superb, pace is good. Personally felt protagonist potrayal was very diluted/ lacks substance, though portrayed as courageous, she gets help from supporting characters a lot in most instances. Language is easy.

🖋️In all honesty, Veer Trivedi and Dreamrealm is a hysterically funny book about Veer, a girl who enters into a dream world. Because of that her life changes and the adventures she does to return. I like all the short stories and the graphics inside the book, which makes it very interesting to read.
🖋️For me this book read much more like a Terry Pratchett story. I was impressed that the writing style seemed to be consistent throughout. You should read it.
