A story which initially seems to focus on setting boundaries and taking it slow ends up rather quickly in a wholly different, if predictable manner
Even though you’re not some object to claim

I liked the art style of Tomorrow, Make Me Yours but lack characterisation, Yuki just cringes constantly and Hayato apologizes all the time. In general I can say little about their characters, with Yuki at least having shy as a trait, but Hayato being very lightly sketched in terms of who he is supposed to be.

The story is rather standard high school love, but with an initially wholesome angle of taking it slow being fine. Interesting messaging that the pushing of oneself onto another ends up in a few pages in full on anal. Not the best in the genre, but at least it acknowledges the importance of talking and investing in a relationship so rounded up by grace of the art style of Kaoruko Miyama.

i requested this due to my liking of tokyopop's other titles but this one didn't hit the same for me, sadly.

this was just alright, the plot was nothing special and the story was overall pretty cliche. i'm not a fan of insta love and this relationship moved pretty quick so that wasn't my favorite. also the couple definitely had more than a few red flags.

the conflict was just unneeded jealousy which is a huge bookish ick for me. definitely not my type of thing. other than that there wasn't much other conflict which made for a pretty boring read.

i also didn't expect this to be a 18+ manga since the characters are in high school so that was really weird.

thank you netgalley and the publisher for an arc in exchange for my honest review.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing an e-ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.

Honestly, no.
The plot was boring and cliche, it relied heavily on miscommunication and jealousy to advance the story but it was done so poorly. Also, come on.. insta love??? So many red flags as well. Oh and you're hit with 18+ content so RANDOMLY. I had to sit back and stop reading to collect myself cause I did not expect it whatsoever (ps they're also high school students and they make out like 30 pages in and fuck three times throughout the 170 pages, yeah ew).
Just really really not my cup of tea.

3.5 rounded up for several reasons, one of which is that neither boy makes any comments like, "but he's a guy!" when realizing their feelings; although Yuki gets insecure later because a girl likes Hayato, for the majority of the story they both treat it as totally natural that two guys can fall in love. This is also very, very adorable, continuing Tokyopop's winning streak with their sweet BL titles. I don't know who's picking their licenses, but in this genre, they are absolutely getting it right more oft than not.

I would like to thank Netgalley and TOKYOPOP for providing me with an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

I’m not new to the manga medium but I haven’t read a lot of romance and slice of life, however, I do enjoy contemporary novels with LGBTQ+ representation so I decided to give this one a go… and I was pleasantly surprised but not blown away.

We follow Yuki and Hayato as they meet on their senior year of high school. Yuki being shy and Hayato an outgoing popular guy. They develop an unlikely friendship and start sharing aspects of their lives with each other.
The story moved a little too fast for my taste, so if you are looking for a slow-burn romance this might not be it. However, we’ll get to see them develop as a couple and I think that’s a unique trait for this type of story.

You’ll find typical romance cliché tropes such as miscommunication and jealousy. This has also 18+ content. The eARC I was provided with had partial censorship but just beware of it in case adult content makes you uncomfortable.

I can’t say this is a new favorite series of mine but I’m curious how the relationship will develop. I’d recommend this to anyone that likes BL or wants to dip their toes into the genre.

First, my gratitude to TOKYOPOP and Netgalley for providing me with an advanced reading copy of this series in exchange for an honest review.

The first half of the story is really promising. I thought it was going to be wholesome boys' love but I was wrong.

It was spicy in the end. The build-up of the tension after Hayato walked out that night is not that appetizing. I'd say that it's basic yaoi through and through, and I'm not moved by this one. It's forgettable—except for Yuki's beauty mark which reminds me, in turn, of another series (Sasaki to Miyano, if ever you're familiar. I love that one!!). So, yea. I guess jealous Hayato is just really not that charming to me. I somewhat felt more pissed than adoration. Especially, after he pushed himself on Yuki. Boy, that one's wrong. And to think that even Yuki is blaming himself. Boy, that specific part is just a "no" for me.

I found this manga quite lighthearted and sweet.
I absolutely love the art work and found it really beautifully executed and relatively easy to follow, in all honesty some of the speech text could be a little more clear as at times I did have to double check who the speech was coming from as it wasn't glaringly clear.
I did find the story a little short and rushed, it made it difficult to full invest in the relationship and felt more like instalove. I think I would have liked more development and length to the story.

That said it felt quite innocent and cute in the beginning and I liked the building of tension, wondering who would approach who for example but I found myself wanting the story to be longer and more detailed, particularly around issues of jealousy and the more awkward times in the relationship.
.
I do like that this Manga deals with consent and the importance of being comfortable and discussing issues of concern, I think its a good message to get across and it does start to tackle some awareness.

Its a really great start for the author, the story is quite reminiscent of Heartstopper but contains some graphic smutty scenes. I would have liked some further character and friendship developments in the story but I found It kept me reading.

Thank you for providing me with an advanced copy

I requested this Manga from Netgalley (TQ) because I love to read Mangas. All genres. This is a BL Manga. The plot is too simple and very cliche. I didn’t like how pushy Hayato can be. The drawings are ok.

TW : 18sx Graphics which caught me off guard since it is about High School students

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.

A cute book featuring a sweet couple, but the reason why I am rating it lower was that it felt all too fast. Too rushed. Yuki went from the awkward kid in the class to hitting it off with the popular guy for no reason to blushing and hoping to see more of him to falling for him fast to being boyfriends. I was constantly going wait what? Wait? Did I miss something? Later we do read that Hayato has had a crush on Yuki for a long time. But that nothing ever happened, well until they are sharing a class in their senior year of high school. Thankfully, later things settle down, things got a bit slower, and I enjoyed the story much more and I found myself rooting for these two. They do make a cute couple, sharing sweet kisses, blushing, and having fun. I would have liked to see them go on more dates.

Well, OK, at one point I did want to hit Hayato, jealousy is bad and doing that? Worse. But I am glad that they worked it out, Yuki talking to his grandma, Hayato thinking about things. Apologizing. It made me happy. A lot of yaoi manga can learn from these, plus, I am really happy that lately I have been seeing more yaoi with people talking, getting consent, saying no. It is great, because really, in all the years of reading yaoi I have seen to many rapes, assaults, almost rape. Consent never seemed to be a thing for most manga.

Oh, and I just love how accepting Hayato’s friends were. Even making up a nickname for Yuki, doing fun things, and of course studying because one of the friends in the group… is terrible at studying.

The sex (and sexy) scenes? Loved them! So hot!

The art was OK, I don’t know the cover was good (and so adorable), the sex scenes hot, but sometimes the faces just don’t work for me, they felt flat/weird.

All in all, despite how rushed it felt… I had fun reading this one! It is cute, fun, adorable, and again I love it when yaoi goes for consent.

First want to thank Netgalley and the publisher for letting me read this in exchange for an honest review! Tokyopop always has a way of suspense. Will this manga be spicy or will be nonspicy? This was spicy, kinda. If vanilla ice cream was spicy this would be it. Nothing is really wrong with this manga. I enjoyed most of it. It was you basic two boys fall in love with each other kinda fast because this is all shoved in to one book.

If you like quick one shot spicy reads, this is for you. There is really nothing I can give that stands out with this. You have read this a million times before, I promise. Am I telling you not to read it? No, this is a good filler book. If you need something a read that you don't have to commit to between the readings you do want to read, this is the kind of book.

This was such a wonderful read! We follow two young boys in High School who meet and become friends. Their relationship grows at a good pace, I'm glad we got to see their relationship and less of the pining aspect of a lot of BL. The art was beautiful.
I also really love how both characters had anxiety, and I found that relatable. If you're looking for a sweet BL with a little spice at the end, I would highly recommend this one.

This was reallyyy cute. Like everything about it was cute, the art, the characters, the interactions. Adorable. This was pretty full of very basic tropes and it's honestly nothing super special, but I liked reading it. It was very sweet and wholesome and everyone was so blushy.

Story: The story is really fluffy and it was supposed to be just 2 cuties and that it was. I read it immediately this morning after getting approved. I had my first day of classes for this semester and was really nervous to meet new people and this was a good calm down beforehand. They get together early on in the story and I feel like this is a really calm, fast and fluffy story which leaves you with a comfy feeling after reading it. If I see it around a bookstore I'll definitely buy the physical copy. If you like fluffy and calming yaoi, like I do, I recommend reading this. It's hard to give a more indepth review of this title because I feel this story is just so light that I have not a lot to say about it but in a positive way. What's cute is that the seme is in love with the uke for quite a few years by then but they're not childhood friends. Wanted to mention that because I see this trope really seldomly except if they know each other for years.
4.5/5

Art: Super cute! This seems to be the first manga release of this author and I love it. I really hope to see more art by them in the future as it's not only cute and wholesome but the feelings also get across through the facial expressions.

Cute, good pacing. If you like Sasaki & Miyano you'll like this, it's basically fanfiction, and has a spicy scene in the end. Still cute and worth my 4/5 stars 👍

Hayato and, especially, Yuki were adorable. Both sweet and earnest with the usual mixture of the shy one and the social one. It was a good balance of being open with one's feelings while also playing into the pressures of expectations and what assumptions people might make.

I will say that it felt a little rushed - I would have liked to see either another volume or at least another chapter to cover how they interact with their friends (do they come out? What about the girl with the crush on Hayato? Does Yuki actually get close to the other boys or is the friendship a performance / dependent on Hayato?)

Overall though an enjoyable and sweet story of love between two high school boys.

Thanks to NetGalley and TOKYOPOP for an advanced digital copy to read and review.

A cute and steamy BL manga set in high school. Many of the typical BL tropes are here, but everything was done well and I enjoyed my time with these characters. The conflict was believable and wasn’t drawn out too long. I really liked the honest communication between the characters.

the worst thing a book can be for me is boring and 'tomorrow, make me yours' had a very cliche plotline and the romance moved way too fast? I think they went from strangers to friends to making out on the couch way too fast to be believable. also everyone was just way too nice because the conflict was entirely jealousy and miscommunication but for 2 pages only?

one thing I did like was how queerness was normalized and the author didn't sprinkle in homophobia for increasing drama and angst without actually exploring it

Thank you to the publisher and netgalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This did not affect my opinion in any way.

Got an eArc from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

The drawing of Yuki is AMAZING. I love it! I'm a sucker for beautiful drawings of eyes. He's cute and handsome or in between which depends on the angle. The story is soo cute too. It's fast-paced and worth the read. It's so obvious Hayato liked Yuki before Yuki met him. I don't know how many times I'll say the word 'cute' here, but EVERYTHING'S cute here. Even the new friends Yuki had.

DRC provided by TOKYOPOP via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Representation: queer Japanese protagonists, Japanese secondary and tertiary characters.

Content Warning: anxiety, possessiveness.

Tomorrow, Make Me Yours by Kaoruko Miyama is a contemporary manga which narrates the blossoming relationship between classmates Hayato and Yuki.

Past me, in all their naivete, would have loved this, but Present me did not like it at all. I would have swooned at the boys’ relationship, probably dreaming of one of my own, but now I notice the red flags the mangaka perhaps inadvertently included in their story: dubious crossing of boundaries and the jealousy stemming from one of the boys making new friends. It really bugged me. I can only credit the author for not having one of them being inebriated or feverish when they have a carnal rapport.
