Twins
It’s a word which conjures both intrigue and fantasy.
Many women will think I’m lucky to have a set of twins, both of whom are in love with me.
But for me, it’s a curse.
Archer and Ash…
I physically crave both, but my heart belongs to only one.

Up until now, I’ve refused to be the one who came between them—to be the one to break their brotherly bond.

Genre: Romantic Suspense
Type: Standalone
POV: First Person - Female
Rating:
4.25 Stars

Tess Sullivan had been inseparable from her best friends Archer and Ash Henderson. But when platonic friendship turned into something more, they quickly learned blood and loyalty meant nothing when personal gain was at stake.

With twins, expect double the trouble and double the pleasure. I’m not a fan of Tess at all. She grated on my nerves with her behavior towards people around her. Though I prefer to feel a deeper connection with the twins, I liked them, with Ash being my favorite.

"My whole world has collided around me, my life unravelling and falling apart at the seams. How did this happen?"

I did figure out the primary revelation right from the beginning. Still, it didn’t take away my enjoyment of the story. I loved the direction the author took, which led to an impactful ending.

Sibling Rivalry is a story of deceit and blind ambition. It would appeal to readers who enjoy Romantic Suspense.

Let me start with saying that this is an absurd, over the top, please-leave-your-brain-outside-the-door type of books. If you're looking for emotional love triangle, high angst stuffs, I don't think you'll find it here... or be satisfied with the ending.

Me though? I'm here for all the crazy, unironically funny and unbelievable ride. (Despite the one plot twist that I've sworn I hated the most in book). It's about the journey guys. A confused journey and wtf destination.

With that's said though, I can tell it wouldn't be for everyone. The twist will divide people, I'll bet. Hell, it wouldn't even work for me if I read this book in another time but my real life is not going so well, and this book put a freaking smile on my face... unironically funny, remember?

Plus, I like Jaimie Roberts' brand of twist. She has written some of my favourite twisted ending in romance books before (A Surrogate Love Affair was one that I could think of).

So yeah, definitely recommended for that over the top love triangle and smutfest read if you ever plan for one. Or if you want to be in the shoes of a girl next door with swarming of men at your feet but with a twist.

P.s. CONTENT WARNING for those who need one:
-------

I need to calm down first but fuck that last line brought tears to my eyes. Why is this book so funny?? Or am I too broken??

P.p.s. too broken, I've concluded.
-------

Got the ARC and now thinking wanting to screw up everything and start this one immediately. I need a twisted book right now.

Wow! Can I believe anything that happened?

It was more than I could have imagined. I had some inkling, some theories that I even discounted, but nothing close to how this story played out. An amazing romantic suspense and drama-filled story that doesn’t relent until it unfurls at the end. And even then I wanted more.

Archer and Ash, identical twins and best friends of Tess, until they both fall in love with her, both decide that want her. She’s torn because she doesn’t want to come between them, their brotherhood and their collective friendship. She decides she’s in love with one brother, but events don’t quite transpire as planned. Their story, a triangle, a rivalry as brothers stake their claim on Tess, and she, with one of them.

Keep your eyes opened to everything that occurs because it’s going to be beneficial as the drama plays out, and the twists hit you and unravel. Even I started to question which brother was at play, who was wreaking havoc, I still wasn’t prepared. This book started so sweet until it became darker and more sinister.

Talk about spicy! This book hit it and didn’t quit. The love scenes were hot! And even as an electrifying attraction existed between Tess and the boys, she still wanted to choose, and it was so much harder because their friendship and favorable similarities they share.

Loved all the side characters who worked so well with building this plot, Tess’ boss Lucy and her flirty colleague Mick. Expect a lot of jealous-possessive claiming, too.

The pace was progressive, always wondering what would happen next, also a great balance of prose and dialogue and not verbose. First person single point of view, Tess, and I suspect deliberate to add to the mystery.

The ending was a bit abrupt though even as it wrapped up some of the workings of the story, and in true J. Roberts’ fashion, leaving an element of wondering. There was missed opportunity to closure that would have been expected, would have made sense (that felt like plot holes), e.g., what the twin’s parents want to talk with Tess about, declaring the brothers. (Ok, willing suspension of disbelief: Tess should have been able to distinguish between the twins after having been their friend for a number of years.)

Still, just an amazing and very creative read. This story will forever replay in my mind attempting to recall all the little details so I can reconcile everything that happened. What twists! I could not get enough.

For the past three years, Tess Sullivan has been attracted to twin brothers, Archer and Ash, and now she has chosen one brother. Knowing the unchosen would be hurt, Tess couldn’t imagine the actual consequences.

“It’s just you and me, baby. No one will ever come between us. I will make sure of that.”

Narrated from Tess’ POV, the reader experiences all through her eyes and it begs the question whether she is reliable. This lack of surety, along with her decisions and some twists, certainly adds to the suspense of what will happen. Additionally, Archer and Ash couldn’t be more different, yet the circumstances have them acting in ways neither can predict. Throughout, I had some theories and hopes as to how it would turn out and the ending is quite satisfying.

Sibling Rivalry is about obsessive love. This book would appeal to those seeking a romance suspense.

If you’ve read books by Jaimie Roberts before, you already know that she is the master of plot twists. Well, buckle your seatbelt before starting this one because SIBLING RIVALRY is her craftiest, most suspenseful, unpredictable story yet! While reading it, I repeatedly found myself thinking, “what an unbelievably conniving, creative bitch Jaimie is”!! Seriously, it blew my mind, wondering how she came up with such unexpected curveballs!!!!

This story will have you on the edge of your seat, continuously trying to figure out who is who and what is what!!! It literally wasn’t until I read the very last sentence that everything was revealed, shocking the he|| out of me!!! With hot sex, an extremely complicated love triangle, a savage attack, unrequited love, betrayal, a brutal murder, incarceration, and more, this book took me on a rollercoaster of emotions, and I loved every suspenseful, sexy minute of it!!!

A story about fucked up love that morphs many times as it goes. Two boys, Ash & Archer are identical twins and they play havoc with Tess's mind and body as they play a game of Russian Roulette with her. It's lethal, dangerous and soul shattering to say the least.

"Now I’m just left with this emptiness brewing inside of me, my heart shattered and my soul broken. One or both of them have betrayed me, and that fact is tearing me to shreds. Their lies are my undoing, but I fear their truths will be what breaks me."

Till the last page you're left wondering who got who, who beget whom and who is left behind to pick up tattered pieces of shattered relationship.
Jaimie is master at crafting convoluted plots with enough hairpin turns to give your neck a whiplash.
In her true wickedly demonic fashion she keeps the characters spinning around through a revolving door and keeps the readers on their toes.
And then she slaps a zinger in the end!!
Stunned. Jaw dropped. Dead!!

Tess is best friends with Archer and Ash, identical twins. They have been inseparable for 3 years and do everything together. 🖤
Archer is the gentle and sweet brother and Ash is more… wild. They are rivals in everything, in business, sports, games or… her. 💥
Both are in love with Tess, she's in love with one of them… but what will happen when Tess chooses to follow her heart? And what the *HELL* will happen if she can't tell which of the brothers she's really with?! 👥️️

📚 "Can you two handle things while I run upstairs? Someone thought it was funny to replace the children's books with Fifty Shades of Gray and 365 Days." 📚

I'll start from the end… Holy Molly, what the hell did I read?!?!? The last two chapters surprised me so much that I am still, two days later, with an open mouth! 😱😱😱

Yes, I was a little suspicious, but I told myself there was no way… then BANG!!! And now I'm left with a lot of thoughts, questions, wondring and a lot of unresolved feelings about one of the brothers and the end he "got" (which I won't go into detail to avoid spoilers, I'll just say that… OhMyFuckingGod!) 💥
I've already read a few of Roberts' books, so I knew she liked surprising twists, but oh my, this author is one hell of an evil genius!!!!!!! 🖤👑👏

📚 "Their lies are my undoing, but I fear their truths will be what breaks me." 📚

Having written this, I will also say that there were parts I didn't like. There were a few clichés (especially in sex scenes 😬), parts that annoyed me (send them both to hell! 🤪) or that bored me (who cares about all these preparations for the party, huh?! 🙈) and also exaggerated characters (her boss's language for example, made me laugh at the beginning and completely exhausted me later 🙄) – but despite that, the last chapters completely changed the rules of the game – and that's how from a good book, it became a book that I will NEVER forget!!! 👏 And for that, this book deserves 5 stars.

So if you like psychological thrillers that are totally creepy and with crazy twists – read this book. 🖤💥👥️️

From the moment they met Tess Sullivan became the center of their world, she was the girl they both wanted to claim, but only one could have. She made it clear from the get-go that they could only ever have friendship because she refused to come between them, so they accepted her wishes, but their need to have her never waivered. Neither were ready to completely dismiss the idea of one day becoming her man, so they bided their time and waited to see if she would change her mind... and she did.

When they learned that she had made a choice their rivalry grew, one knew he was about to lose her, and the other knew he was getting everything he had ever wanted. It was an impossible situation that would come with a disastrous ending... one that would change everything!

Sibling Rivalry is a spellbinding tale that kept me up into the wee hours of the morning, once my eyes found the words I couldn't bring myself to put it down. I had to know which brother would win the heart of the heroine, and let me just say I was not prepared for how it all played out. The pages of this one hold many twists and turns that will leave your jaw on the floor, I could not believe the length these brothers went to to get the girl. It was such a good story, the story line was unique and utterly captivating, and the characters drew me in and had me fully invested within a matter of a few pages! Loved everything about this firs time read, I can't wait to see what this author brings us next!! Highly recommend!

Thankyou so much Jaimie Roberts for giving me a copy of this amazing book.

Oh my god Jaimie, what did you make me read!!!!

If you are aware of Jaimie's twisted stories and plots, you know what I am talking about. Not to mention, it's the first time I had to revisit some paragraphs and read the story again to understand everything.

The story starts with ruckus between two twins and a girl, so yeah it's a love triangle but a very twisted one where the mastermind takes the girl. That's all I am saying, nothing less nothing more! So if you're a hoarder of mystery romances with sexy times and loads of dirty talking, you can't neglect this book by Jaimie.

5/5 for the Mastermind and the smut🔥🔥

"Oh, what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive!"

Jaimie Roberts Sibling Rivalry ensnares you immediately with the horrifying yet seductive story.
Her words fluidly comfortable, only to twist the minds eye and leave you pondering.

This is not the book you read, where you guess or know what will happen next.
This is the books that you can’t see coming.
Trust me, there were plenty of times throughout reading, where I thought..
“I know what’s about to happen or this is who it actually was.”

Only to be quickly put back in my spot with my mouth gaping at how wrong I was.
The twins have have a tantalizing factor to them, that cannot be described.
You want more, and you crave to know their next move.
Sibling Rivalry has everything you want.
Romance, desire, seduction, deception, murder, and more..
This book will forever remain in the darkest yet inviting part of my brain and can confidentially say Jaimie Roberts never fails to leave you wanting for more.

Oh what a tangled web Jaimie Roberts has created. The story of Tess and twin brothers Archer and Ash is told exclusively from Tess's POV which leaves the reader with options believe in her or them. The three long ago decide to be just friends so that noone got hurt but when that dynamic changes the repercussions for them all will be life changing. I will admit I didn't really like Tess all that much maybe that was the aim so you wouldn't feel much empathy with her, Ash was my favourite. The story had me questioning everything, could I believe her version of events or theirs and the twists and revelations kept me glued to the pages. Obviously I had my theories which kept changing the nearer the ending became. If you've read this author before you know she delivers the unexpected which that BOOM of an ending was. A story of obsessive love that had me hooked.

Holy Cow, this book was a mind fuck.
A few times, I thought the storyline was going in a predictable direction, then BAM, there's a twist, and everything changed.

Tess, Ash, and Archer are in a tricky little love triangle.

"I never intend for my body to flame like it does for both of them, but how can it not when they’re identical?"

For years they've remained best friends because Tess refused to choose between the brothers. She didn't want to ruin the twin's relationship.

But when friendship is no longer enough, she makes a choice, which triggerss a landslide of chaos.

I would highly recommend reading this book if you're looking for a semi-spicy suspense thriller that has you gripping onto your kindle for dear life. Not so much if you want a traditional romance with HEA.

Ok. I need proper thoughts gathered for this roller coaster of a book.
Damn.
If you think you are mindfcked by chapter 2 wait till you hit 50% and more. It gets trippier.
But, i can say that this author put the WTF plot twist at the end that makes you want to read the book again with newfound knowledge. Clever, very clever 😉
If you think you know how the plot progress, unknow it.
I am gonna think about this book for a long time.

Jaimie Roberts does it again! 😍

‘Now I’m just left with this emptiness brewing inside of me, my heart shattered and my soul broken. One or both of them have betrayed me, and that fact is tearing me to shreds. Their lies are my undoing, but I fear their truths will be what breaks me.’

The cover is absolutely stunning and the book itself blew my mind. By the second chapter my jaw was on the floor, I couldn’t believe what I’d just read and the shocks just kept on coming…

I have to admit though, that I wanted a bit more from the ending and I’m still not 100% sure I know exactly what happened 🤔

Huge spoilers in here so don’t click unless you’ve read the book -

I hate to say that I did think of who could possibly be behind all of this, but I dismissed it because I thought my crazy dark brain was going overboard. Turns out I was right 😂
I freaking love this author because I know, no matter the subject, it will be completely crazy and the twists will always keep me on the edge of my seat.

I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next 😍

Wow!! What a story! I absolutely loved this story. So much going on, the little twists that would come up and have you questioning it all. The amount of times I wondered how it would play out, the different scenarios in my head that I thought of! One of the scenarios I thought of was actually how it ended, but during reading it and events taking place, I had discounted it, so the ending was definitely a huge twist and quite the surprise! An amazing book by Jamie, I loved it and highly recommend it!

WTF did I just finish reading!!! Never has a story had my head spinning, my heart racing and me yelling so loudly at characters as this one did. It was so twisted and slightly messed up that at times I was like what is happening here? And then I was like, who are we actually conversing with right now? This story will twist you all up, having you believe that you know who the good guy is and then throwing curveballs at you with every turn of the page making you realize you had no fucking clue after all.

This story is filled with angst, drama, intense emotions and some rather deliciously steamy moments that obliterated my panties and left me drenched! The whole Harley Quinn/Joker moment in the story was fucking HOT and had me needing to stop and take a moment just to catch my breath!

There were so many WTF moments and shocking interactions that just blew my mind. It was crazy from start to finish and I absolutely loved that about it.

While reading I had a few theories running through my head at what was really going on. In the back of my mind, I knew the answer but when things finally were revealed I was still fucking shocked. The way it all ended blew my mind and I needed to literally pick my jaw up off the floor!

To me this story was brilliantly written keeping me in riveted to my seat in complete suspense the whole way through! LOVED IT!!

Ms. Roberts, you have done it again with another great book. The book is mainly told from Tess's point of view with a random point of view throw-in. At this very moment, I am sitting here with my thoughts all over the place because of this book. The book is so twisted that I am speechless and we will just say that's rare for me. While reading it I was so confused about how this would play out and Im pretty sure that was Ms. Robert's way of keeping us on our toes. Im still struggling with what to say for this review. If you want to read a mind game that keeps you guessing crazy romance books then this is it. Whatever you do go in this with no guessing because I can promise you it's wrong. The book will give you what the hell moment moments and a what did I just read feeling. Bravo Jaimie, you killed it with this book.

This author never ceases to amaze me with her dark suspenseful stories.
Then…she adds her own brand of dark twisted goodness and I’m hooked from beginning to end.
A love triangle is always a challenging story. When the triangulated situation involves 2 twins and a girl, well it kicks it up a notch.
If Jaimie is telling said story, fasten your seat belt. Well paced and easy to follow, this enthralling story got me. Things are never what they appear with these characters. Roles are blurred, deliberate mistakes are made and an enthralling story ensued.
Will she pick the “right” twin?
More importantly who is the right twin?
Oh that ending… I never saw coming!
Well played!

I’m not sure where to go with this review cause typically I love Jaimie Roberts but this book not so much. Now I liked the plot and the few fries short of a happy meal twins, even with there juvenile games I liked them. Now Tess, she grated on every last nerve I had. I am typically someone who never really likes the heroine fully but I like certain aspects at certain times and middle to end I enjoy them, not with Tess though. If she wasn’t such a whiny little shit that owned her flaws I MAY have liked her but she was just to much. I can deal with side characters being annoying because eventually they aren’t but I hate a heroine that down to the very end I wanted to punch.

3.5 ⭐️ This is story of a girl named Tess and two twin brothers who are both in love with her. So a triangle is in turn formed. I will start by saying as always the book was well written. I had a difficult time connecting with the characters. Tess was so woe is me and everyone that walks bye wants me. The brothers came across equally as juvenile. The sex scenes were in true Roberts form of spicy with a mild hint of BDSM. Overall I found it to be too predictable and a bit boring at times.
