When Hope Delancey showed kindness to another slave, she never expected it to put her in the crosshairs of a dangerous man. After weeks of being held captive she's rescued by a gruff, grumpy, intimidating soldier who obviously wishes he was anywhere but in Colombia rescuing her. But Hope sees through the cold exterior to the man underneath, a man she could fall in love with, a man who has already told her he has nothing to offer.
Falcon Oswald never again wants the responsibility of someone else's life resting in his hands. But that's exactly the position he finds himself in when he agrees to honor the promise he made to his sister to rescue Hope. Now they're running for their lives through the Amazon rainforest, and as Hope impresses him with her strength over and over again he realizes walking away from this woman might prove impossible, even if its what's best for her.
USA Today bestselling author Jane Blythe writes action-packed romantic suspense and military romance featuring protective heroes and heroines who are survivors. One of Jane's most popular series includes Prey Security, part of Susan Stoker's OPERATION ALPHA world! Writing in that world alongside authors such as Janie Crouch and Riley Edwards has been a blast, and she looks forward to bringing more books to this genre, both within and outside of Stoker's world. When Jane isn't binge-reading she's counting down to Christmas and adding to her 200+ teddy bear collection!
I have read numerous books in the Special Forces: Operation Alpha series and this is my third book in the Prey Security series by Jane Blythe. I have read a lot of Jane’s stories and eagerly crack the cover on every book I get my hands on. Protecting Falcon was no different. In fact, I was even more eager than usual, because I knew Hope was in dire straits and Cam was going to be the one to save her.
Hope is no wimp. She has a quiet strength about her. She had risked her life to help another slave, who happened to be Cam’s sister. He and his team were able to get Raven and her daughter out, but had to leave Hope behind.
Prey Security is owned by Cam and his five siblings. The whole family has a need to make sure Hope is rescued. She went above and beyond anything that could have been asked of her to help Raven and her daughter, Cleo.
Cam is a bit grumpy, like Walter Matthau in Grumpy Old Men. When he finds Hope, in a cage, wondering if she is alive, I think his heart skips a beat. He is quiet and she is a talker. What’s that saying about opposites attract?
“You’re really here for me?”
As soon as Hope said that my eyes teared up. I can visualize her, looking at him with soft eyes filled with wonder. Such innocence, considering the things that have been done to her by the traffickers and the evil man that revels in her pain and degradation. Little does he know, the things being done to her do not define her.
I knew how she came to be there because of reading Book II in the series, Protecting Raven, but Jane Blythe does fill in the blanks so the story can stand alone, but once you meet Prey Security, I think you may want to get each character’s story.
Jane Blythe kept me dragging myself through the Amazon rain forest, hunted, hurt, tired, hungry, thirsty, and falling for the handsome special forces man that came specifically for Hope. Danger surrounds them and getting out will not be easy.
Of course, they are going to fall in love along the way. Are any of us surprised? I would be let down if they didn’t. After all, this is romantic suspense. We have some fun dialogue and I love to smile while the characters are running for their lives.
I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of Protecting Falcon by Jane Blythe.
Falcon and Hopes story was absolutely perfect!! These two couldn’t be more opposite and I was all about it!!!! Falcon is like Oscar the grouch, life and loss has hardened every aspect of him but Hope hasn’t had a easy card dealt also but the fact that even given in the worst scenario she still try’s to overcome shows such a beautiful spirit that her character exploded off the pages for me. Absolutely loved this
Falcon and Hope – a torturous journey to hope and love.
PROTECTING FALCON is the third stand-a-lone in Author Jane Blythe’s second series in Susan Stoker’s Operation Alpha World. The Prey Security series covers the resourceful Oswald Siblings and if you’ve already read the two books then you’ll know there is one hell of an underlying plot thread that started with the murder of the Oswald sibling’s parents.
Who are so intent on bringing this family down in the most devastating of ways???
As always with Ms Blythe’s books, no matter how traumatic and twisted the plot story becomes, there is no way that this book could be put down, and sleep was thought to be definitely overrated! Falcon Oswald had lost so many people and suffered so much that he refused to be responsible for the welfare of others any longer. Scarred inside and out, it was the love and loyalty to his family that had him involved in the rescue of a certain redhead who he soon admired, despite his reticence.
Like wise for Hope Delancey. Men did not protect nor were they to be trusted, but Ms Blythe dishes out the worst of circumstances to her characters and have them prevail. Not by miracle or happy circumstance, no they have to fight for and survive horrendous tribulations to earn their HEA if they’re lucky and you will be grateful for the time spent in their company. The treatment Hope had suffered brought tears to my eyes, but that moment was tempered by an unusual and beautiful moment accompanied by a memory that shone a light into Falcon’s psyche. She was also a strong and resilient woman, although at times I was surprised at her level of resilience given what she’d been through!!
All up though, another great read from Author Jane Blythe, and a great addition to her series. If dark romantic military reads are your jam, then dive into PROTECTING FALCON. Sparrow’s book is up next, and there are still more siblings to go!! Absolutely 4.5-Strong-Stars ♠️💞✶
Falcon Oswald is sent to rescue Hope by his sister. He’s a man of few words and even fewer attachments. Hope has lived through things made of nightmares but she still try’s to help anyone in need.
Racing through the jungle they grow closer and the ice around Falcon’s heart begins to melt.
Another great story with a few more crumbs added about the Oswald’s past tragedy. A love story that will melt your heart. What a wonderful story teller. She hold no punches and gives you everything you expected and more.
I've been looking forward to this story from when we first met Falcon and even more so when we met his match. It did not disappoint. These two coming together and battling through a jungle was explosive in more ways than one. Honestly there's so much that I could say, but the way this book was cleverly written, I don't want to give anything away. Not when lives are on the line more than once ( I actually lost count!). If anyone is stubborn and sassy enough to survive it would be Hope though, her strength and determination throughout was an inspiration to watch. More clues were given with the mysterious threat to the Oswalds and I can't wait to get more of that deadly puzzle. Already can't wait for the next book.
She had the power to make him want what he couldn't have....Hope
Falcon has anger issues, trust issues and difficulties under pressure, he cannot be responsible for anyone else's life again, he has failed too many people and each and every one has taken a piece of his soul. My heart breaks for all of the Oswald siblings and the trauma they suffered when their parents were murdered, but Falcon is haunted in a way none of the others are, he punishes himself and it is devastating. He is such a good man and when he is brave enough to open his heart, he has oceans of love to give. He just has to get over his fears first, Hope shows him how to be fearless. She has been kidnapped, tortured, sexually brutalised and punished repeatedly and still even after everything she has endured, she fights. She never gives up, she never allows them to break her spirit and she never stops hoping. Whilst I love Falcon, Hope is definitely the hero of this book, she is phenomenal, stronger than anyone could possibly imagine and the bravery she shows, both when escaping through the jungle and in opening her heart to Falcon and love, will steal your breath. A fantastic addition to the series,I read this on Kindle Unlimited.
I have found that I love the authors way of telling a story! She is detailed but yet the story’s are fast paced. She hits on real world problems aka Sex Trafficking. Falcon and Hopes story was amazing. Falcon never would have fallen in love! But with the pleading of his sister to save Hope from her nightmare sent him on an adventure that would turn his world upside down! This book an amazing read. Definitely recommend!

3 ⭐️ I want to clarify this isn’t really a bad book. It’s just not necessarily a good one either. All the right elements are there, it’s just not put together the best way?
Hope is a normal woman who is kidnapped, raped repeatedly, sold into sexual slavery for months, kept in a cage like an animal, tortured, starved, burned, and cut, with rats left chewing on her wounds. She should be beyond damaged, and when Falcon first finds her naked in the cage, she seems nearly feral and hunted (appropriate). Don’t worry, this goes away almost immediately and she becomes “generic sassy heroine who insists she’s independent and strong” in a couple pages.
Falcon on the other hand is deeply damaged by some tropey events in his past (death of his parents, death of his team) and he’s never had a relationship with a woman. In fact, he seems to intensely dislike them and believe them only useful for sex : “Women. He didn't have much experience with them beyond sleeping with them. And this was a traumatized woman. His worst nightmare.” Gee, thanks, Falcon. Sorry dealing with her emotions around her rape and torture are YOUR worst nightmare. 🙄 In fact, in a moment of gross negligence and questionable morals, he fails to check her wounds because he’s attracted to her and doesn’t want to see her body because he doesn’t want to be drawn to her (disgusting, she’s a sex trafficking victim he’s trying to save!) and she ends up feverish with a bad infection. That whole scene was seriously disturbing. Way to put your selfish libido over her life, hero.
For her part, Hope is given zero time to process the trauma and abuse, and she’s daydreaming about her savior’s “kissable lips” and muscles within a day or so. She spends no time at all healing the tortures of the past few months and wants to hop right in bed with some strange man in the middle of the rainforest with bad guys nipping at their heels. While I would imagine most women would want time to heal, she does admit she’d like to sleep with him to “make sure she still can” before getting into a real relationship with someone else. Not exactly healthy or solid. Regardless of what she thinks she wants, she’s a traumatized, deeply abused woman, and the fact that he sleeps with her offer a couple days into his rescue mission is highly inappropriate at best, predatory at worst of him. Of course she has zero lingering issues, the intimate scene was yawn-worthy, and they do absolutely no real bonding or working through any issues. She doesn’t even flinch. There was room here, if the author didn’t want to make her fearful of intimacy, to explore Hope’s unhealthy white knight view of her savior and attachment but it doesn’t. There’s very little depth and only 240 pages for the story to play out. Not nearly enough time to treat this kind of subject matter with respect.
Lastly, minor complaint - the sentence structure could be strange at times, long and meandering. It seemed a bit unpolished : “He was here to rescue her, nothing more than that, and besides, he didn't really seem like the warm and caring type, and Hope was pretty sure that she was going to need a lot of love, comfort, and support when she got home, and everything came crashing down around her.”
Another home run for non other than the very talented Jane Blythe . Protecting Falcon is the third installment in her ( special forces operation alpha ) prey security series ) and just might be my favorite so far .if your looking for a romance that will take you on the ride of your life , a story that has all the feels and is a emotional rollercoaster In every sense of the word then seriously look no further . Hope and Falcons journey will do that and more . So many moments I found myself balling my eyes out , My heart feeling like it was genuinely breaking for all the tragedy that both had to endure in very different ways yet no less horrific. But one things I loved most about both characters is that even after experiencing every thing they did they still found the strength to persevere and work towards a happier future . Two people who are so beautifully broken yet fit so perfectly together. There are no lengths Falcon we not go to in order to protect Hope , he may appear to be silent and strong but he is also a true Alpha when it comes to the ones he loves , but there is also a really sweet side underneath as well . And hope well there really wasn’t anything I didn’t love about her . She’s sweet , kind and extremely strong. Suspenseful, captivating, second chance , non stop action, heartbreak , humor , family , friendships, drama , off the charts chemistry, twists and turns , emotionally charged , unforgettable and unputdownable. Protecting Falcon is all of the above and so much more . Prepare your self for all the feels and a very late night because I can 100% guarantee that once you start reading you are going to have very hard time putting it down , I should know , I tried so hard to stop thinking about these amazing characters and fall asleep but that was impossible. So I ended up reading till about 4 Am .
Just when you think Jane Blythe can’t possibly get any better she surpasses herself and blows you away with her never ending talent. Falcon is such a larger than life character. A total badass alpha male but there’s so much more depth that he hides from the world because of tragedy and heartache. His actions are that of a truly honourable man. His moral compass couldn’t be more stellar. Hope is such a strong character. She has experienced more pain and tragedy than one person such have to handle but she hasn’t lost her strength, her goodness and her ability to love. She’s awe-inspiring and such a beautiful soul. She is, without a doubt, exactly what Falcon needs to see that he is good and honourable and more than worth loving. Falcon gives Hope back her strength. He has her back, even as he fights his feelings. Watching them come together and open up as they fight to escape the evil that is hunting them causes an ache in your chest as you root for them to get their HEA. This continuing saga for the Oswald family continues, the suspense heightening as they discover a little more about who is hunting them. I love the previous characters having more than just a cameo role. This is a strong, tight knitted family dynamic that is slowly growing and it is truly beautiful. Jane Blythe has worked her magic once again to bring us another addictive visit back to Prey Security. You know when reading one of Jane’s books that these character are going to become your friends. You’re going to have a vested interest in their futures because your heart is involved. Beautifully written. First class read and totally addictive. Definitely recommend. 20 million star review.
This third book in the series is set in the Amazon rainforest, Columbia to be exact. The story follows on from Protecting Raven with Falcon promising his older sister that he would rescue Hope. Right from the beginning the story grabs your attention and continues with plenty of drama and action.
Falcon Oswald is, as the book states, a ‘…gruff, grumpy, intimidating soldier…” but he is also a fiercely loyal person, a protector and someone you would want to have on your team. His long held ideas are sorely challenged by the petite, red-headed woman—Hope Delancey! Her sassy mouth and quick comebacks quickly endear herself to Falcon. She is a strong and determined woman who doesn’t understand the words ‘give up’. I have to admit my admiration for her is enormous, I know I would be buckling under the pressure. Her spunk even in the most harrowing of times made me admire her even more. I also like how Falcon reflected on his perceptions and feelings honestly, well for the most part—he is a male after all! 😉
The mystery of who destroyed the Oswald family unity when the siblings were young continues in this story and becomes even more interesting and mystifying. It’s a very clever thread to have moving through each book and I am dying to know who is causing the problems and why, also who really killed Mr and Mrs Oswald. Bring on the next book about Sparrow, the next sibling in this terrific series.
Brilliant but let down by the terrible writing of Hope’s trauma and ptsd.
Aaaaaargh….. So close to being brilliant!!! So frustrated. 😡😡😡😡😡 I actually started reading this book before and stopped for the same reason that annoyed me now.
When Hope helps Raven while she’s being held captive by sex traffickers, the family vow to rescue her. Falcon and his team are sent in to rescue Hope. Hope is in a bad way as she’s been tortured and raped repeatedly. So as they’re trekking through the forest, trying to avoid all the men after them, Hope is looking at Falcon and……. FANTASISING ABOUT SEX WITH HIM!!!!!!! Seriously????? Apart from the fact that Falcon is being a d.ck to Hope because he’s scared of his feelings, she ABSOLUTELY WOULD NOT BE FANTASISING ABOUT SEX. After all she’s gone through.
Apart from that one major problem I loved this book. Falcon is so scared of being hurt again that he’s terrified of his feelings. As they trek through the forest for days, Falcon comes to respect and admire Hope, who has been through so much but is still fighting to survive. Then he convinces himself that she’s hero worshipping him and her feelings aren’t genuine, so dumps her at home and abandons her. 😡
I did really really enjoy this book, but I’m sorry, I was disgusted by the way that Hope was written about. It totally spoilt it.
Holy Heck Jane Blythe has once again delivered an absolutely thrilling romantic suspense story that had me gripped from start to finish. Falcon is such a broody but undeniably caring and fiercely protective alpha male that you can't help but love. He's loyal, determined and is sadly weighed down by demons particularly when it comes to love. However, when those walls come down... holy swoooonnnn!!! Hope is such an amazing heroine. This woman has been to absolute hell and back but somehow she is still sweet, strong and has some badass fight left in her. I adored and admired her. Before these two get a HEA they must survive the Colombian jungle and the villains hunting them. But... During this nightmare of a situation what a team they made. They offered each other strength and support. I was absolutely captivated by this story which I read from the edge of my seat because ddaammnnnn what a heart pounding / heart stealing ride it was. The action, the suspense, the emotion, the love, the friendships, the family and all of the breath stealing moments had me feeling all the feels and loving every minute.
The plot continues for the Oswald family and Prey security. I can't wait to see where the series takes us next.
What a brilliant read! These books just keep getting better and better, the only downside to completing them is the wait for the next instalment! Hope and Falcon make a fantastic couple, Falcon is an intriguing character and having been introduced to him earlier in the series, I was keen to read his story. He at first appears grumpy and unwilling to even consider his relationship with Hope as anything other than a mission to complete. Hope is sassy and sarcastic, and despite her difficult past, is a true survivor, she is exactly what Falcon needs to begin living again.
As always the plot sizzles along taking the reader on a roller coaster of a ride, just when you think all is resolved the story takes off again in a different direction. This book could be read as a standalone, however it gives us tantalising peeks into the lives of the other Oswald siblings so I would recommend reading the whole series.
Excitement, romance, characters you feel become friends and a great family dynamic, what more could a reader want? I recommend this book unreservedly and would give it many more stars if I could.
Wow! I loved Falcon and Hope. Falcon always carries the heavy load of his family, has guilt from their parents death and losing his team. Falcon has closed himself off to feelings and caring for someone, that only leads to losing them. Hope is sunshine and roses, she is strong, resilient and all she wants is to get out of the hell hole she’s been in and go home to her family. Prey security leaves no one behind and the help Hope provided Raven makes her family and they have to go and get her, Raven will not let it go until they do. When Falcon finds her, there is something about Hope that gets under his skin and he can’t shake it. The attraction, steam and chemistry is definitely there, but he doesn’t do romance, and certainly not with someone he’s rescuing, but will they be able to keep their hands to themselves? The more time they spend together in the jungle, the more they share with each other, brings a new light into Falcon’s life. He never thought he would want what his siblings have until he met Hope, but will he get the chance to tell her or will their time together be cut short? Amazing read and I can’t wait for Sparrow’s story!!
Overall this book wasn't bad. The problems I have are:
1. The amount of time Jane Blythe had the two characters spend in the jungle. That could have been shortened.
2. Point one leads me to this point, because they spent so much time in the jungle, the author focused less time on the characters being together once they got out.
3. Towards the end of the book, it's not mentioned what happened to Hope's friend. it's not mentioned if she's okay, if she's staying with someone, or if she has been hurt or killed. Hope was really worried about her friend, and then that's all that's mentioned about it. We know nothing more.
4. I kind of felt the book just randomly ended. I was expecting it to go on, but then it just stopped. It didn't feel like an actual ending. It was just very random. I don't feel like much was resolved or dealt with. Pretty disappointing, I was expecting more.
Falcon wasn't bad. I hate how so easily the female characters break in her books. The antagonist kept saying he wanted to break Hope basically because of how much fire she had , but he pretty much had broken her - she would do what they wanted without much fight (like all Jane Blythe's female characters).
Oh my Jane Blythe you have done it again! This is an amazing series and I knew that this would be my favourite and boy oh boy was I correct. Falcon and Hope gave me goose bumps and their story was one of strength and character. You cannot help but swoon over Falcon even with this rough exterior his true self shines through when needed. Hope is a very strong woman and her determination to get things done and not shy away clearly was at the forefront in this book. When you put these two together not only do you get fireworks but you get true passion and a pure love. Given the circumstances of their meeting and the fact they thrown together in the deep end they never give up on each other and continue on their journey and what a journey they had to endure. Loved, loved, loved this book and loved ready about Falcon and Hope. Could not put this book down and I am eagerly awaiting the next book in the series. Congratulations Jane Blythe on another amazing read. Highly recommend this series.
I received an arc copy from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
When Hope Delaney offered Raven and her daughter Cleo (kidnapped at age 3 by a monster guised as a man, little did she know she would start a chain of events involving Raven’s brother Falcon Oswald. Raven and her daughter were rescued but Hope was not and when Raven and Cleo were returned to her over protective brother Eagle Oswald, the oldest brother who is part owner but main sibling who runs their security company PREY) insisted Hope be rescued. The rescue with Falcon and his team of Seals went haywire and Hope and Falcon were forced to run for their lives in the jungle. Falcon is a troubled man carrying a load of guilt for the deaths of his Delta team and before that his parents and just wants to be left alone. Hope not so much even after being sexually abused and terrorized by a sex trafficker who wants her for his own needs because of her red hair. The struggle to stay alive to meet up with the rescue team and the attraction in spite of themselves makes for a page turning addictive read!

I was obsessed with know how Falcon finally meets his match with Hope in Protecting Falcon. We met Falcon a couple of books ago and he is so quiet and broody. Hope was introduced at the ending of last book, but I did not expect her character and charm in this story. Jane did a great job keeping that from us until we dive into this story.
I love Falcon. I think when he lets his guard down, you see the true man that he is and it is Golden! Hope is full of strength and she takes it as her weakness at times. But you will love her none the less.
Protecting Falcon has a lot of suspense and angst. This story will break your heart in pieces as some traumatic events unfold. This book was it for me folks as I spent this weekend with Falcon!!
Omg what a fantastic book. I was so not ready for it to end. So loved Falcon even if he was mister cold, standoffish and one word answers but then there was the loyalty, protectiveness and doing everything he needs to do to protect others. Hope, wow what a woman she is strong, hardheaded and love her come backs to Falcon. He definitely has met his match. I wanted to hit him over the head several times and tell him to wake up and do what he knows he needs to do. Hope shows her vulnerability and that sometimes you need help. I have never been through such tragedies but I believe this author made you feel somewhat of what a person that has been through a tragedy might feel. I definitely felt all different types of emotions in this story from being terrified, destroyed, loneliness and than love. I absolutely recommend this book but definitely start at the beginning of the series.
Wowza, I thought Raven (Prey Security Book 2) was full of suspense and action but Falcon is every bit as suspenseful and filled with non-stop hard hitting action if not more. Jane Blythe really knows how to load up a story and keep you on the edge of your seat. Imagine trekking through the Colombian rainforest with a small army of bad guys in search of you. The only thing between you and them is a hard charging, grumpy warrior named Falcon Oswald. All during her captivity Hope Delancey refused to give in or give up despite the odds. Her strength and resilience accomplished something nothing or no one else had been able to do. She penetrated the layers of guilt and grief he'd layered upon himself over the years when he failed to protect his family and his team. Keeping her protected and getting her home was the goal even if it meant sacrificing himself.
Photojournalist Hope Delaney was in Columbia to do yet another expose on the sex trafficking trade and found herself part of the story. She’d helped reunite Raven Oswald with her daughter but wasn’t rescued when they were. Raven promised to free Hope no matter what, she sent her PTSD, survivor’s guilt-ridden brother, Falcon.
Falcon can’t not try to save Hope, he’d promised Raven. Separated from the team and having missed the rendezvous, Hope and Falcon evading Jorje’s army in the rainforests and grudgingly learn to like and rely on each other. But Jorge’s men trap Falcon and take Hope back to Jorje. But Falcon was trapped not dead, that could be a fatal error for Jorje’s team. Rating: 4.5stars
Hope is held captive, her abductor fascinated with her red hair and determined to break her. Falcon is on a mission to rescue her and get her home. What's the connection with his family, who is out to trap them? This background intrigues me and I feel we won't know for some time while the suspense builds. Falcon sees himself as the family protector, emotionless and undeserving of love. He didn't expect to admire Hope's courage and stamina throughout her ordeal. Rescued and yet not quite, on the run for days with her infections and blisters upon blisters. Will they both make it out alive? I couldn't put this story down and I'm desperately waiting for the next one in this series.
Two people experience life changes pain but react in two different ways .. Falcon is all kinds of closed off and broody while Hope is open to life and joy. Hope sacrificed herself to help Raven in book 2 and now Falcon is keeping his promise to his sister that he will rescue her and bring her home safe. What he doesn't realize is how much that promise will cost him... her resilience, smart mouth and loving heart will cost him the walls he has built around his.
Definitely recommend reading the entire Prey security series... each story leads to the mystery of who killed the Oswald's parents and started the siblings on what is their life's work.
I have been waiting for this one and it definitely did not disappoint. Falcon has pretty much become totally withdrawn. He has had way too much tragedy in his life and feels safer if he doesn't have any feelings except for his family. Hope was kidnapped and has been held hostage for some time now. Her captor is fascinated with her due to her hair color. He is a cruel and demented man. Hope met Raven when Raven and her ex husband, now fiance again came to the compound looking for their daughter. Falcon will stop at nothing until he gets Hope home. Thanks to Ghost and the rest of the Deltas along with his team, this might happen. Then what?
OMG! This story is written by Jane and I don't know how she got through writing it! This story is intense right from the beginning! It's about Falcon and Hope. We got to see the very dark side of trafficking. It's a wonder how Hope was able to keep it together. We are taken on Hope's horrific journey and how she meets Falcon. Hope is definitely a very strong woman and is able to get through Falcon's very dark personality. I am happy these two finally came to terms they needed each other. FANTASTIC job Jane! I would highly recommend this book! Can't wait for the next book!
Good story, but wow! How much more torture can one person handle?! There were some moments that small things didn’t add up. (If a person falls in the river their boots are going to be soaked. Yet they both kept walking and then made a point to take them off when they went to get cleaned in a river so they wouldn’t get wet.).
Hope survived hell on earth. Falcon grudgingly takes a team to rescue her and ends up on the run through the jungle. Too many moments where they both behaved like high schoolers with their constant does he/she really like me? Is this real? Etc.
Falcon and Hope. I am so glad Hope got her rescue and her HEA immediately after Ravens book. What a fierce character. Her trauma is brutal and graphic, but her resilience lives up to her name and what you hope to see in a female lead character. Falcon was a great alpha and protector, but his continuous doubting and insecurity did wear on the couple and story at times. Eagle and Cleo were my favorite non main characters in this story and I loved seeing some of the teams from Susan Stokers Seals in here. More information is shared on the danger to the Prey family, but still vague enough to leave the siblings confused. Excited for the next books!
Hey readers its time to visit our favorite badass family. The Oswalds are at it again. Raven has located Hope and has sent Falcon and alpha team to go get her! However , this may be a trap to get Falcon. Falcon is gruff and standoffish because he blames himself for what happened to his family and his team. Hope is sarcastic and has a great attitude even though she has been through so much. This book is full of twists and turns ...will Falcon save Hope., will Falcon stop blaming himself, will the man after the Oswalds be revealed???? Strap in folks.

Falcon is my book boyfriend so hands off.... honestly he is everything, strong, protective, assertive but a softy inside.
Hope is such a small and fierce character that you cannot help but admire.
I loved this book as it had a bit of everything going on. I cried and I laughed and the family bonds are amazing. I cannot wait to devour the rest of this series as I need to see if my theory is correct.... knowing this authors previous books though I doubt they will be as they always have a twist along the way!.
