Remembering: Book Two of The Stone Guardians

Rate this book
Hunted by hateful assassins in the midst of inexplicable and other worldly happenings, Rowan begins to unravel who she really is...

Now she and Torrin must leave Myris Dar to follow the mystery back to Eryos.

Meanwhile, across the barrier of the Great Timor Mountains an ancient sleeper awakens, his arrival heralding a new age for all of Eryos.

As they reunite with old friends and discover new ones, Rowan and Torrin must battle an ancient foe in a war that has been raging since beyond memory.

A spell-binding synthesis of inner pathos, outer mettle and a depth of spirit that reaches beyond anything Rowan or Torrin could have imagined, this page turner will satisfy fans of epic high fantasy.

This 800 + page novel includes a selection of illustrations by the author herself, who is also a well-known professional artist.

ABOUT ME:

Hi I'm Kindrie, author of The Stone Guardians, an illustrated fantasy novel series, and artist working with fantasy and animal subjects through the mediums of cast bronze, oil painting, traditional drawing.

My work is play!

Inspiration drives me and I move between projects and mediums as they require attention. My writing informs my artwork and vice versa. I am continually amazed by the joys of a creative life.

This fantasy novel and illustration project has grown hugely, now encompassing multiple books and Companion Sketchbooks with an ever-expanding collection of illustrations, paintings and sculpture.

I am excited to announce that new custom Hardcover Editions of the books are being released via Kickstarter! Each of the first three 700-800+ page books are being divided into two volumes and released in three formats: hardcover, trade paperback and ebook.

The first of these second editions, The Messenger From Myris Dar, is now available! Our Kickstarter campaign was successfully funded to create an offset custom print run with sewn binding and a ribbon.

About the book: The new edition of TMFMD includes 28 full-page illustrations (some of them as two-page spreads) in a beautifully immersive layout. If you are interested in getting a copy of the custom hardcover from the Kickstarter, you can find it through my website link here:

BIO:

Kindrie is the author and illustrator of The Stone Guardians, an immersive and character driven illustrated, fantasy book series which is launching its first hardcover edition of Book One: The Messenger From Myris Dar through Kickstarter.

Kindrie Grove is an artist as well as an author. She graduated with distinction from the Alberta University of Art and has enjoyed great success as a multidisciplinary artist, operating her own studio near Penticton, British Columbia, where she works with fantasy and animal subjects through the mediums of cast bronze, oil painting, and traditional drawing.

Kindrie has written and illustrated A Field Guide to Horses (Lone Pine Publishing, 2009) and illustrated two children’s books. An enthusiastic, lifelong reader of fantasy fiction, she trained for seven years in mixed martial arts, and having grown up with horses, enjoys a thorough understanding of riding and equine husbandry, areas of expertise that figure prominently in The Messenger from Myris Dar and help make the world of her novels startlingly realistic and remarkably vivid.

Kindrie lives near Penticton with her husband and son. Her studio manager is a handsome tuxedo cat named Oreo, who arrived as an uninvited guest and became an undisputed member of the family.
