Sometimes the most challenging part isn't letting go but rather learning to start over – Nicole Sobon
Danielle
Letting him go was the hardest thing I’ve ever done.
My husband promised me forever. He made me believe we could weather any storm as long as we had each other. Now, he’s telling me he’s sorry. He’s not in love with me anymore. But, how am I supposed to get over him when my heart won’t let him go?
Until I had to start over.
Noah
I know she’s not ready. I even understand how difficult all of this must be for her, but I never planned on falling for someone who wasn’t prepared to love me. However, the heart wants what the heart wants, and mine wants Danielle. I’m willing to wait, and when she’s ready, I’ll be right here waiting to pick up the pieces he threw away. I plan to show her that when destiny calls you have no choice but to answer.
Wow! What a love story! But first I must acknowledge Latham the ass! How do you just decide one day you don't want your wife anymore? You wanted to see if the grass is greener elsewhere and proceed to treat her like ish! I swear I wanted to dive in this thang and throw some hands on this idiot! Ughhh..... 🤬 Anywho, I felt so bad for Danielle, as she did not deserve one ounce of this mess that Latham was throwing her way! Enter little sister Kayla! She was wild, reckless, ratchet and gangsta! She loved fiercely and was always on go mode for her big sis! I laughed so hard at the things she did to Latham to make him pay for hurting her sister! Noah! An innocent bystander sees the most beautiful woman walk into a bar, and he is mesmerized by her. Next thing he knows, he is pulling her off a man she is ready to mace; and he is devastated for her! At that moment, Noah knows that this is his wife! He doesn't know her and doesn't understand it, but it is what it is! This man was patient, befriended Danielle and slowly helped her heal from that sham of a marriage! He showed her what a real man does for a woman he cares for, until she had no choice but to fall! I loved them together and could feel the passion rise from the pages! He bossed up on Latham and told him what it was, when he had enough of the ish! Pleeeaaasssse let Kayla and Lucas be next! That damn Kay is going to give him a run for him money, and I am here for it all! Great read! 👍👍👍
The premise of the book was intriguing and I was looking forward to reading how the author was going to weave this tale. Unfortunately I ended up disappointed. I understand how traumatic Danny’s husband walking out in her was, however I didn’t like how she dealt with the topic of her daughter. Her insistence in wanting her ex to be a present parent made no sense to me. The constant reminder that Noah wasn’t her “blood” was antiquated. We all know that blood is meaningless sometimes. From the moment her ex told her to have an abortion, it should have been a wrap. She should have ask him to terminate his parental rights at the same time as the divorce, if only to protect her daughter legally. Given how he was behaving it was stupid to let herself open like that. Worse case scenario, she marries rich Noah and suddenly has to pay Latham child support. Noah giving Latham this whole speech in his office, really moved into doing too much territory. Not his place to shame Latham into being a father. If he loves Noelle so much, his job is to make sure she feels secure, loved and pay for the child psychologist if needs be. One thing I really didn’t like with the book was the normalization of violence. I understand how she could be upset, however as an adult, Dany should know how to manage her emotions and the whole macing people is ludicrous, the first time in public and the second time with her daughter nearby. Her sister punching Amelia and vandalizing Latham and Amelia’s property was juvenile. Speaking of her sister, I didn’t like how she was made to be such a loudmouth, obnoxious and vulgar person. Her trying to go after Noah’s brother was too much given the number of men around. Every brother with a black woman is also ridiculous. Lastly, what was the purpose of Hayden and Kelly if she never saw them outside of work? The whole “strong black Queen” coming from them was cringey as I can’t even imagine either of them talking about being a strong white woman.
A beautiful and encouraging story about picking up the shattered pieces of your life after gut wrenching betrayal.
After Danielle’s ex-husband told her he didn’t want to be married to her anymore because she was suffocating him and abandoned her while she was two months pregnant, she discovered that he was having an affair with his assistant and she was five months pregnant.
In her darkest moment she found a love so bright it was blinding. Noah healed her heart and her soul. He was patient, compassionate, protective, and selfless. I officially nominate Noah for Best Book Boyfriend Award. He was perfection.
I really should deduct a whole star for all the editing errors but the story was just too good.
I love this book & this entire series. You are one of the few authors who writes interracial romances about black women without degrading them. They sound & act like black women. It's refreshing because many bw authors think they gotta whitewash the black heroines for these stories to work. I loved Nina & Seth. I read that book twice. I adore Danielle & Noah. This felt real, like this could really happen & that's a testament to your skills & gifts. Sometimes the romances in this genre can seem so outlandish it's hard to get lost in them but you write realistic, Beautiful, funny, & sexy romances with a lot of heart. Kay was absolutely hilarious I'm begging you to write her & Lucas's book.
Listen, I love Noah! He handled Latham just like a boss. I love how Dany took her time healing from Latham's BS. Ms. Williams had me crying the first few chapters because of Latham. I didn't think anyone would ever beat Celeste Rutherford (Maureen Smith character) for most hated villain, but Latham punk a$$ comes pretty close. I love how Noah was Dany's friend first, giving her time to heal. Kay was hilarious and I'm eager to see what's the tea with her and Lucas. As usual, excellent job Ms. Williams. Great story with lots of emotion, great character development, and hot romance.
When men closed a door in your face, God open one wider for you… well, I misquoted the saying. 😉 Noah you are The Man, you are awesome! It’s incomprehensible how a so call husband abandoned his pregnant wife to go to his pregnant mistress. Seriously, in my book that said man is lower than sc*m… Hence, Noah to the rescue and boy what a total package!! Dany you are a better woman and a wonderful mama… I don’t know if I would do what you did for the sake of Noelle, and way yo go girl, naming your baby after Noah. Kay, you are crazy and i love you!! 🤣🤣🤣 Great read!
The first time Noah sees Danielle he knows she's someone he wants to know forever. Danielle is going thru life's storms & doesn't need a " man " she needs a friend. So Noah steps into her life as a friend building a solid foundation for love to grow. This book hit me so hard. I was Danielle once but unlike this story my Noah didn't show up. But that is okay because I do know in real life there are Noah's out there daily doing big things & loving us all as we deserve. This was a joyful & yes sometimes painful read. Real life is & this is why I feel this story is excellent. HEA aren't given they are worked on. Enjoy. 🥰
This book had great character development and the storyline was very realistic. Dany went through all the emotions of an unanticipated breakup and I liked the fact she did not rebound fast but worked through her hurt. Her sister was a character and could put a situation into a perspective that had you laughing but was on point. She cut through the bull and told it like it was. But that Noah was THE MAN. I could've sopped him up with a biscuit. A really good read.
Okay now I don’t know which I like better this story with Dany & Noah or the story with Seth & Nina. This was so good I read it straight through, did have a little interruptions. I love Dany & Kay let Latham and his girl know they don’t take no mess. That was hilarious 🤣 I loved it, and don’t forget after Dany had her baby and was able to give Noah true loving. Wow he engraved his name all up on it. Now I don’t care who she’s with I would love a story on Kay because I know that story will be funny, wild and just plain crazy. Please bring it on.
I loved this book! Noah was everything where the ex was just plain garbage. Sad to say, ex was your typical black man after he hurt you and realized he couldn’t break you. Aside from some minor grammatical errors, I absolutely loved this book! Dany was a strong, real character, Kay was the best and Noah! I’m not into the typical millionaire/billionaire bwwm books where there’s absolutely no indication the woman is black and this book was far from it. It resonated with me on so many levels and I’m officially a Renee Williams fan!
O.K. where do I start... I loved this story. Noah is an amazing man that any woman would be happy to have. Danielle is a strong black woman trying to hold it together after her husband has devastated her life. This is a slow burn story of friends to lovers. I hope we get Lucas and Kay's story next. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait for more from this author!
Noah is the best. I'm actually in live with alk the brothers and I'm waiting for Lucas"s story next. Noah fell in love at first sight with Danielle even though that was the worst time of her life. I'm just glad that Noah listened to his family and became the friend that Dany needed. I'm glad Danielle didnt let her sorry ex husband Latham prevent her from opening up to Noah and finding g her soulmate. A definite good read from Renee.
DNF at 54%😮💨😮💨 The premise of the story was interesting but somewhere between the poor editing, the white people using African American lingo( it just sounded off..), the idea that she somehow HAD to sleep with Noah since he was sooo good to her and Kay’s character that was made to be ignorant and obnoxious , my initial excitement was chilled. It is a hassle to keep reading so I’ll drop it for now.
The story had so much potential 🫠🫠

Great read. I like that this author built a foundation of friendship between the MCs. It's a story about rising from the ashes to a bigger and better life. There are a few grammatical errors but not enough to take away from the book. You will definitely enjoy this book.
Ms Williams weaves an engaging story once again. My only issue is with “father” and how heroine gave some many olive branches. The love story was great and redeeming because there were so points where I pulled out my brass knuckles🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️👀. The romance was intense and I strongly recommend a fan or a glass of ice water nearby
Loved this book from beginning to end. Noah is 🔥. He pursued Dany until she had no choice but to acknowledge he was her everything. Latham is an a$$ and got what he did not deserve. He got to be a part of Noelle’s life. Kay kept me laughing throughout the book with her antics. Can’t wait for her and Lucas to get a story.
Oh my goodness if what one man won’t do another will were a person, that man would be Noah. Dany’s husband left her broken and pregnant; while off living his best life. Unsure of her next move, then he steps in and steps up to be a friend and support that she needs.
A good read, with a few errors; however, not enough to disrupt the flow of the story.
This book was nice and loving. I love how he forced himself to become her friend so he wouldn't become her rebound. When I read the comments he and his brothers said about African Americans, I nearly cried. I know this is fiction but it was nice. this book was funny and gives you a very good feeling. Read this book, you will not be disappointed.
ms. Renee yet again knocked it out the park. This book proving your soulmate may show up out of the natural order. Love myself some Noah. Dany gave her ex to much consideration after proven himself not worthy I felt was disrespectful to Noah. But all in all a beautiful well balanced book of second chances at true love.
Latham really tried it but fate had it all set up for Danielle to go through, recover, heal, and move forward. He was a hard lesson but a lesson nevertheless. Noah is her reward for being faithful and coming out stronger than before. Because of what she endures, Dany is bent but not broken.
This was a great story, and the characters were very entertaining and believable. The chemistry between Noah and Danielle was smoking hot 🔥 and intense. There was just enough drama and romance to keep you wanting more. I highly recommend this book to my fellow romance readers. You will not be disappointed.
I stayed up half the night and finished this morning. It was a good read. However, she was a little slow at times and I wanted her to hurt the two people. But I love happy ending and Noah is one of my favorite men now 🥰
This was a wonderful book. It amazes me how dumb men can be and when regret kicks in, they want to be forgiven...NOT! The had me laughing a lot! Shedding tears a tad bit and rolling my eyes! Great series!💞
This is an amazing story at first I thought it was gonna be slightly sad and depressing because of the way it started but it’s slowly just got entertaining and funny and romantic I love the whole story love the characters that were created so much to love
WOW, this book serves to remind you how cruel and callous people can be. Life love and hope are always around the corner. This is a wonderful depiction of it all. You must read it.
I loved this story and loved the update on Seth and Nina .. Noah was a man that knew what he wanted from the word go. Lathem.. there are no words for him and his actions. I am so happy that Dany got her happy ending, she deserved it
Love this book the characters were well written . The heartbreak ,redemption and the ability to find love again was wonderful. Noah was a alpha male who knew how to love, Danielle have the strength to give love a chance again. Broke but not broken.
If you are familiar with Ms Williams' work, then you know what to expect. Drama, laughter and good old raunch. I greatly enjoyed the story. I wish her ex was not as much of a douche but aye, trifling is trifling.
I’ve read. Each book in this series and book 4 did not disappoint. I loved the way Noah knew from the beginning he wanted Danielle. He played no games with her and his patience was rewarded. Beautiful and sexy love story.
This book was one of the best hot mess I have ever read. The ex-husband needed his face crack for real and Danielle’s sister was a gangster. I can’t wait to see if Lucas is next…..
