In this book we look at 20 different true crime cases, these cases involve murder, mystery and survival of victims too! And of course as the title of the book suggests, these are all unsolved. Which is absolutely so sad to think that these poor victims and families haven't been able to get justice.
So...
Volume 1 consists of:
🩸The Cline Falls Axe Attack - This is about two young college girls who camp out in a park in the 70s and we're brutally attacked. One of the survivors has written a book about the attack and how it has affected her life.
🩸The Austin Yogurt Shop Murders - This is about 4 teen girls who were murdered inside the Yogurt Shop.
🩸The Murder of Carol Cole - This is about a teen who was murdered and left in the woods and was later found 4 to 6 weeks after her demise.
🩸 The Batman Rapist - This is a out a Serial Rapist who taunted Bath and the Surrounding areas from the 90s to early 2000s.
🩸 The Disappearance of Charlene Downs - This is about a 14 year old girl who went missing in 2003 in Blackpool.
🩸 The Murder of Molly Bish - This is about a 16 year old girl who was murdered just after she got to work one morning in the summer of 2000.
🩸 The Murders of Rhonda Johnson and Sharon Shaw - This is about two 14 year old girls who were murdered and many people confessed to the killings but no one was ever brought to justice...apart from an innocent man who was coerced into a confession by detectives 👀.
🩸 The Murder of Ebby Steppach - This is about an 18 year old girl who was unfortunately raped by 4 men and the police didn't believe her, nobody could find her and it was 8 months after she went missing did the police actually start "investigating". I used that term loosely because they didn't do anything.
🩸 The Murder of Rachael Runyan - This is about a 3 year old girl who was listed away from a playground in the 80s and murdered.
🩸 Mr. Cruel - This is about young girls who were sexually assaulted and taken from their homes in the 80s in Melbourne Australia.
Then we have...
Volume 2, which consists of:
🩸 Father Alfred Kunz - This is about a priest who was murdered and left.
🩸 Jay Polhill - This is about a 21 year old male who was found in a river.
🩸 Don Kemp - A man who was an Abraham Lincoln conspiracy theorist who died. Did he run away at first? Was it a mental breakdown? Did he commit suicide or was he murdered?
🩸 Clare Morrison - This is about a 13 year old girl, who in the early 90s was found dead on the beach.
🩸 Jonathan Luna - This is about a 38 year old U.S Attorney who was found dead in a creek in the early 2000s.
🩸 Kirsty Bentley - This is about a 15 year old girl who in the late 90s was murdered on new year's eve whilst out for a walk with her dog, she was found 18 days later.
🩸 Zigmund Adamski - This is about a man in his 50s who was found dead in a coal mine in the 80s in Yorkshire. Was it murder? Was it Aliens?
🩸 Elaine Nix - This is about an 18 year old girl who went missing and was later found dead 17 miles from her place of work.
🩸 Frauke Liebs - This is about a 21 year old who disappeared in 2006, her body was later found in October of the same year.
🩸 Tristan Brübach - This is about a 13 year old boy who was murdered in the late 90s in Germany, only 3 years after his mother took her own life.
The book itself is a great read and it's not often we hear about the unsolved ones unless it's on a TV show. So it was nice to hear about some ones that haven't had the same media coverage as others. All in all it's also sad too, these poor victims never get their justice.
Also the amount of times the police departments have done nothing to help and not care is absolutely atrocious, also how can they even get away with coercing people they seem suspects into confessions and never let them out of jail when it's proved they never did anything and that detectives threatened them is vile.
Also the amount of times in this book the lack of empathy for the families when their loved ones were missing was disgusting. The majority of the time the police did not care and would say "they will show up" and having to wait days and days to file a missing person's report is awful.
Oh and as usual I love the layout, the font and how it all works together.
