This is a SELF-EMPOWERING book that includes MORE THAN 300ILLUSTRATEDPIECES OF ADVICE to implement in your daily life. Recommendations are based on the author's personal experience, financial success, and science. The book is divided into different life personal finances, health, work, business, relationships, nutrition, family, education, personal growth, and so on. This is a book for "non-readers" because each piece of advice is easily digested and can be read one-per-day.
Inside these pages, you will find three hundred shortcuts for your career, your love life, and everything else that matters. People tend to overstate the truth behind advertisements and quick fixes. At the same time, they understate the power of small constant efforts and their compounding effect, which Albert Einstein described as the eighth wonder of the world. The compounding impact allows minor positive changes and small investments to grow exponentially into massive positive changes and fortunes with the aid of consistency and time. This book is not about huge changes and quick fixes. On the contrary, this is a book about small daily changes that, if taken seriously, will compound into essential changes and powerful results over time.

This book is long! But did it cover the whole nine yards? Yes, it did. And whatever is outside of the yard was also in here. There is no stone left unturned. This shows how thorough the author is. And how much research must have gone into this. Chapters are small and crisp, and that is why it was possible to cover a breadth of evolution, changes, and actions. Anything that touches our lifestyle is dissected here with pros and cons. Many times, I felt it was getting to the point of insanity. But I suppose that is the level of dedication and discipline needed to master ourselves into a better future self.
All three hundred ways, if followed will turn you into a successful person, but would it make you more human? I am left pondering this question after completing this book.
Often times, success is a product of dedication. Many people make it a passion, especially when hailing from a humble background. It becomes a challenge to beat the odds and cross that class barrier. Author Juan has a plan to do just that. Go ahead and read it to find out if this fits your capacity. I found it exhausting.
I watched a YouTube video once about how to write and publish an ebook in a single day. This book is precisely the opposite of that. This book is the longest project I have ever worked on. It took me almost five years from the very first sentence until I could finally see it published. This book is a compilation of 300 plus advice about life, from the most futile and superficial to the deepest and profound. It took me years to write it because each piece of advice is linked to a specific time, a particular place, and a circumstance. I wrote most of the manuscript while traveling the world based on personal experiences and recommendations. I like to think the book has a life of its own, and I really wish you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it and experiencing it.
I will say this has a bit of everything but everything is not for everyone. I wanted to kick the year off right and read something as a self help and improvement. There were some good tips that applied to me but there could possible be sections that won’t apply to a lot of readers. If you don’t have kids there’s a whole section. If your fit that’s almost 100 pages of proper eating and health. Again there are some good portions but I think the book is very general and would be better if it actually focused on just one or two core topics with good stories on those to better suit a nitch core of people.
*DISCLAIMER-book was won in a giveaway on Goodreads* Dry. Some advice that is definitely not supportive for mental health. A great deal of it sounds like excerpts from many other authors, IE Dave Ramsey. I spent more time rolling my eyes and thinking of the conversations this would provoke with mental health providers all over. It definitely made me more skeptical as I look at the only review is from the author himself, and he gave it a 5. Skip this book. Get a good mentor, counselor, and/or role model instead.
Nice book with a nice idea. Author gives plenty of odd tidbits to help with life being easier for your “future” self as stated, so I do like this idea!
Book is full of short chapters with small prompts and then small facts combined. An example is one chapter that details waking up early, combined with a Benjamin Franklin fact as well as the ample rest time for people of different ages. Nice idea for a gift!
When I started reading this book I began at the beginning-duh- and found a lot of information but none of it really applied to me. I start off by saying this because I don’t believe the author intended for us to do that but rather read selectively the sections that are meaningful to your life. Once I did that I found much I could apply to my own situation and found many helpful, practical applications.
I saw where somebody said the advice can be overwhelming. I did not find it that way at all; the sections were broken up and apparently intended to be once a day. It covers everything from advice for the job to Facebook and teaching kids about finances. If something isn't relevant to you at the moment, just go to the next part, I guarantee you'll find something in it that will be the life hack you've been looking for!
This is a fantastic all encompassing read. I love that it focuses on the top three most important aspects of pretty much everyone’s life, which are love, finances, and health. And the fact that it provides “shortcuts” That are little tips and tricks. Anyone can apply, makes it even better. This is a great book to keep around on hand to refer back to you.
Great advice presented clearly and understandably. These are the kinds of things older folks would tell me before going to college, and it’s good to see them collected here.
There are lots of fantastic gems in this book! I didn’t necessarily agree with every piece of advice, but there was a lot in here that made me think and want to apply to my life.
Personal practical and easy to read advise. Written in a way that anyone with any schedule can learn and apply. Chapters are short and provide practical information that can be learned in less than 5 minutes. Highly recommend.
I love this book so much! There is so much information here that I think is so beneficial. I found myself highlighting and taking notes as I was reading, things that I want to go back to. It is so fitting for the times we live in.
This is a practical guide emphasizing the impact of small, consistent efforts and strategic negotiation techniques. It offers valuable insights for those looking to achieve lasting success.
